Free gnutella lite software for linux

Gtk-Gnutella is a server/client for Gnutella. It runs on every Unix-like system which supports GTK+ (1.2 or above) and libxml. Gnome is not required.
It is currently developed and tested under Linux (Debian 2.2) and is known to run at least on Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, Darwin, Solaris, Tru64 UNIX (OSF/1), SGI IRIX, BeOS whereas CPU architectures include x86, AMD64, PowerPC, SPARC, MIPS.
gtk-gnutella project is released under the GNU General Public License (GPL).
Gtk-Gnutella is not finished yet, but it is fully functional: you may share, search, and download. And it is stable too, users usually just leave it run unattended for days.

Ubuntu Lites idea is to bring the power of Ubuntu across to the users of Legacy systems. So not just to make a small linux as this has been done before (Puppy Linux, Damn Small linux, the Rule Project). Nor to make a useable linux based desktop Operating system (that has been done with Ubuntu Linux, Beatrix).

The idea is to bring the power of Ubuntu to the typical users of Legacy hardware (ie the grandma who gets an old P2 set up for her but does not know how to use it).

So to this end the Operating system needs to be:

* Easily used by people with minimal computer skills
* Useable on a resurected system (see system specifications below)
* and is able to satisfy a typical users requirement of Applications and functionality.

These are the three core aims of the Ubuntu Lite Project.

We will also provide development guides to anyone who wants to trim down their versions or help others use linux on reconditioned hardware. I hope that you enjoy Ubuntu Lite and that you find it useful.

SLAMPPLite is a linux live CD that will turn your personal computer to a simple home server.
What makes it different is that SLAMPPLite has smaller size that will fit into a 256 MB compact disk or usb stick. It contains only essential server applications like Apache, MySQL, ProFTPD, BIND, DHCPD, SSH and mail server.
Several programming languages such as PHP, Perl and Python and other tools to support your web development work are also included.
To keep SLAMPPLite slim and make it easy to update the applications, SLAMPPLite uses server suite provided by XAMPP.
SLAMPPLite is compiled intended to be your showcase box. So, when you have something to show to your (potential) users or clients, just put your web applications on SLAMPPLite and you will have an instant mobile portfolio.
Therefore I advise you not to use SLAMPPLite for production purpose, just use the standard SLAMPP instead. Although through some tweaks here and there, SLAMPPLite is also ready for that. MR Tech Link Wrapper Lite is a Firefox extension that wraps long links and lines to spare you from having to scroll left and right.

Hidden preferences:

- Enable page character limit to improve performance on large pages: link_wrapper.charLimitEnabled, default value is false
- If enabled use this character limit: link_wrapper.charLimit, default value is 30000

If Link Wrapper doesnt appear to work for you can:

- some blog site will break with this extension just add the domain to the "Sites to ignore" list in the options
- bump the limit of character to something higher than 30000 in the options dialog
- if you experience slow downs on large pages, enabling the character limit in the options dialog.

Note: Link Wrapper will force Linkification to only highlight part of a text link, version 1.2.2 and newer of Linkification adds a "Thorough Mode" which is disabled by default, enabling it will resolve this, or you can just double-click on the unhighlighted text on the right of the text from a link to have it open properly.

PDFlib is a widely used programming library which allows the programmer to generate and manipulate files in Adobes well known Portable Document Format (PDF) and integrate this ability into any application or server environment.

The project is available for all major operating environments (12 different packages) and development environments.

The new release offers a variety of new and improved functions, including a new table formatter, PDF/A output for longtime archiving, AES encryption, integrated pCOS analyzing tools, a repair and optimization mode for input PDFs, and numerous other new features.

Table formatting. The new table formatter in PDFlib 7 creates complex tables automatically. The new table formatter simplifies the process of generating PDF files with tables on the fly, such as catalogs, invoices, or database reports.

PDF/A for archiving. PDFlib is one of the first tools worldwide to generate output according to the PDF/A-1a and PDF/A-1b standards. Existing PDF/A documents can be imported by PDFlib and combined or split.
