Specimen is a MIDI controllable SoftSampler.
Specimen is a MIDI controllable SoftSampler, written in C and GTK+. For those who dont know, a sampler is an instrument that allows you to make music using sound files (aka "samples").

Try it out and let me know what you think. Specimen has been written from the ground up with the goal of actually making music with it, and Id like to hear how well/poorly it fulfills that ambition.

GNOME Speechs purpose is to provide a simple general API for producing text-to-speech output.
The GNOME Speech 1.0 API is currently under development, and it will provide API for both text-to-speech output as well as speech input. It will be heavily influenced by the Java Speech API, both the existing 1.0 specification, and the new 2.0 one which is currently under development.
GNOME Speech 0.4 is made up of three basic parts:
- IDL interface definitions
- libgnomespeech - Convenience library for speech driver development
- Java package to aid in developing GNOME Speech drivers in Java
- Sample driver implementations

GNOME Mastermind is a simple mastermind-like game that ive written mainly for fun and with learning purposes in spare time. Now it became quite stable and i decided to distribute it. Try it and give me some feedback.

Gnome Bloxsom is a GUI based program to post entries to a Blosxom based weblog. The program requires Python version 2.2 or greater, PyGTK version 2.0 or greater, and Gnome-Python for Gnome 2.

It can optionally use PyGtkSpell version 0.3.1 or greater for spell checking, which is part of Gnome-Python-Extras. More information about the Bloxsom weblog application can be found at www.blosxom.com.

gnome-socket provides a simple library for high-level network asynchronous I/O in GNOME applications.

gnome-socket is a library that provides simple high-level network access to GNOME applications. Its main features are asynchronous DNS lookup and non-blocking network I/O.

Its designed to use the very flexible glib event loop in order to make integration with GNOME programs easy.

Gnome::StockIcons is a Gnome 1.4 stock icons in XPM format.

These are the Gnome 1.4 stock icons. The original PNG files are in gnome-libs-1.4.1.2.90/libgnomeui/pixmaps. All names are identical but - is replaced by _. Currenlty, this only affects calculator-font.png (@calculator_font).
The module does not strictly speaking require Gtk, but its not much use without.

GNOME Mplayer project is a simple GUI frontend for Mplayer.

It is based heavily on the mplayerplug-in source code and can basically be seen as a standalone version of that. Currently it is a test bed for new methods of operation for mplayerplug-in and so it may be broken or lacking many features. I use it as my default viewer for media on my personal machine.

To set GNOME Mplayer as the default player for mms and rtsp protocols in Mozilla/Firefox add this to your prefs.js file

Or open the "about:config" location and create new string settings with the above values.
