EHNT 0.4

EHNT 0.4

EHNT is a tool which turns streams of Netflow (version 5) data into something useful and human-readable. more>>
EHNT is a tool which turns streams of Netflow (version 5) data into something useful and human-readable. (Netflow is a UDP-based traffic reporting protocol created by Cisco, generated by Cisco, Juniper, Foundry, and other routers.)
Netflow operates in many ways. It will dump flow records in human-readable form. It will also provide reports on top ASes, IP protocols, and tcp/udp ports. The reports can be generated over various intervals, from 1 minute to 1 day.
Component programs are:
1. ehntserv listens to netflow version 5 UDP packets, and also listens for client TCP connections. When a TCP client connects, the server starts forwarding all the netflow packets it receives (plus the IP address of the originating device) to that client.
ehntserv does not currently do any IP access control. I suggest that you use ipchains or iptables on your linux box, or IP Filter (ipf) (http://coombs.anu.edu.au/ipfilter/) on your Solaris or BSD box. I dont know what the current state of packet filtering is on other Unixes; IP Filter seems to support several.
2. ehnt connects to ehntserv and displays the flows it receives in various ways. It currently has four modes (-m ):
- top mode displays average utilization by top ASes, IP protocols, or tcp/udp ports over a given interval (from 1 minute to 1 day).
Top mode is different when it focuses on a single interface on a single router, because then you get to see summaries of source and destionation for both inbound and outbound traffic. Otherwise, you just get summaries of source and destination.
- dump mode displays individual flows
- shortdump mode display individual flows in a more compact but hard
to read fashion
- colondump mode display individual flows in a machine-readable format.
And yes, I recognize that the name of this mode is unpleasant.
In all three modes, simple (REALLY simple) filtering can be done for AS
number, TCP/UDP port, IP protocol number, device sending the flow record,
and SNMP interface index.
You may think of ehnt in the three dump modes as a brain-dead and incredibly
simple tcpdump for netflow.
ehnt also has the silly and uninspiredly-named big filter, in which it
only displays flows with are bigger (in packets or bytes) than any flow
received before it. This only makes sense in the three dump modes.
Enhancements:
- Added Unix domain support for client connections, enabled by default

Imieniny 1.2.1

Imieniny reads a list of names and the dates on which those saints are commemorated in Poland. more>>
Imieniny reads a list of names and the dates on which those saints are commemorated in Poland. The "name-day", i.e. the day on which a saint bearing a persons name is commemorated, is important in Poland, and is celebrated like a birthday.

The program, given a date, will display what people have their "name-days" on that day. Given a name, it will display when that name has its name-day(s). Since people in Poland like to send little "mini-poems", a selection of these is included.

cPige 1.5

cPige is a tool for webradios that want to backup their stream on a 1 day period. more>>
cPige is a tool for webradios that want to backup their stream on a 1 day period. cPige is listening to an icecast/shoutcast webradio, and write the stream using 2 different methods: Artist - Title.mp3, or in Pige mode, cPige write files like 0.mp3 1.mp3 .. corresponding to the current hour. Each mp3 should be 60 min long. Existing files are overwriten. So you can keep 1 day streaming 24/7.
Usage:
./cpige -h http://stream-hautdebit.frequence3.net:8000/ -h http://fallback.stream:8000/fallback -d .
-h host to connect to.
-V show cpige Version.
-d directory save stream to this directory.
-P Pige mode (takes no argument), save stream by hour.
-M Use pige Meta: will write id3v1 tag (only usefull with pige mode).
-q Quite mode, does not output stream status.
-b Background mode (UNIX only) use cPige as a daemon.
-l Path to logfile.
-I [h|m] pige mode will cut on a hour by hour basis or min by min basis.
-i nb how many "nb" hour(s) or minute(s) we should wait before cutting.
-n cPige will append xxxx to file in non pige mode, where xxxx is a number.
-h is the stream URL (not a .m3u or .pls playlist).
-d select where data should be written.
-P Pige mode, keeps 24h of data, by 1h segment, overwriting existing files.
-b Background mode. (UNIX only)
-l path to the logfile.
-q Quiet mode, does not output stream status on stdout
-M Use pige Meta: will write id3v1 tag (only usefull with pige mode)
-I [h|m] pige mode will cut on a hour by hour basis or min by min basis.
-i nb how many "nb" hour(s) or minute(s) we should wait before cutting.
Practical example:
If you have a stream url like http://stream-hautdebit.frequence3.net:8000/ you can use this command line:
./cpige -h http://stream-hautdebit.frequence3.net:8000/ -d /where/to/store/data [ -P ] [ -b ] [ -l cpige.log ]
Parameters in brackets are OPTIONAL. Brackets should not be given to the command line.
Enhancements:
- A Gtk2 GUI was added.
- Metaint changes during reconnections are correctly handled.
- Non-printable characterss are no longer used in filenames created in non pige mode.
- Directly starts recording without waiting for a new interval.
- A memory leak has been fixed.
- A potential bug in getHeaders() has been fixed.
- The ability to stop cPige after a certain amount of time has been added.
- NULL strings are not printed.
- There are some fixes for the Win32 platform.

Simple PHP Calendar 1.11

Simple PHP Calendar 1.11

Simple PHP Calendar is a a simple, extensible PHP calendar class. more>>
Simple PHP Calendar is a a simple, extensible PHP calendar class. The project focuses exclusively on generating an HTML representation for a given month. It is meant to be easily extended for use in other applications, such as input widgets for forms, or full event calendaring applications. Its output is completely customizable via CSS.
A simple example
After downloading the class and including it in your PHP script, youre ready to start using it. The constructor requires two paramets, a year and month. The following code produces a very plain looking calendar.
1 require_once( class.Calendar.php );
2 $cal = new Calendar (2004, 3 );
3 echo "".$cal->getFullMonthName()."";
4 echo $cal->display();
Customizing the display
You can use two methods to change how the calendar is displayed. Use setTableWidth to define how wide to make the table, in pixels or as a percentage of the screen. Use setDayNameFormat to change how weekdays are displayed in the header row using strftime formats.
1 require_once(class.Calendar.php);
2 $calendar = new Calendar (2004, 4);
3 $calendar->setTableWidth(50%);
4 $calendar->setDayNameFormat(%A);
5 echo "".$calendar->getBriefMonthName().";
6 echo $calendar->display();
Final Example
You can use CSS selectors to control the formatting of all aspects of the calendar, including adding borders and how empty boxes display. Lets wrap our talbe in a div named calendar and use the following styles.
/* overall table */
#calendar table {
border:1px solid #fff;
padding: 0;
margin:20px;
}
/* the day headers across the top */
#calendar th {
background: #565;
color: #fff;
margin: 3px;
padding: 2px 5px;
}
/* how days this month will look, make dates appear in top right */
#calendar td {
background: #eee;
color: #000;
padding: 2px;
margin:0;
height:60px;
text-align:right;
vertical-align:top;
border:1px solid #fff;
}
/* these are the days falling outside this month */
#calendar td.notInMonth {
background: #999;
}
Enhancements:
- The documentation has been polished.
- An example has been added for extending the class to customize how a calendar grid will display.

GnoTime 2.2.2

GnoTime 2.2.2

GnoTime provides a to-do list organizer and project timer. more>>
GnoTime provides a to-do list organizer and project timer.
GnoTime is a to-do list tracker and project timer with a built-in invoice generator. It allows users to keep track of how much time they have spent working on particular tasks, maintain a diary of that work, and create invoices with task-specific billing fees and rates.
Main features:
- Multiple To-Do Lists that can be sorted by the priority/importance of the tasks in the list. The to-do items can be organized into categories, arranged in a hierarchical way. This makes it easy to maintain both business and personal items in the list, or handle many different projects, while keeping them separate from each other.
- A pair of Diary/Journal areas that can be used to keep long and detailed notes and diary entries. The project description area allows a multi-paragraph description or status to be typed in. The diary area allows day-to-day notes to be associated with a set of timestamps, so that one has a record of what one did on any given day.
- A Running Timer, with time totals, for each project/task. One starts the timer by clicking on a task: it will measure the amount of time that you are in front of the computer. If it detects that the keyboard/mouse are idle, it will stop the clock. If the clock stays stopped too long, it will nag you to start it up again. You can view time totals by day, week, month or year.
- A Billing Status dialog for each diary entry. You can mark any given diary entry as bill-able/non-bill-able, paid or pending, and set the billing rate. Each project can also be marked up with a set of project-planning information: planed start, end and due dates, hours to finish, percent-complete. This is in addition to assigning an urgency/importance to each project, as well as a status (completed/in-progress not-started/canceled).
- A half-dozen different HTML Reports that can slice and dice your lists. Theres a Journal report that shows all of the diary entries for one given project. Theres an Invoice report that summarizes the time spent on each entry, and computes a dollar amount for it. Theres a Status Report that prints the title of each project, together with the paragraph-long descriptions of each. Theres a ToDo report, which prints only the project title, the importance/urgency, and the completed/in-progress/not-started status. The Daily report summarizes the total time spent on a day-by-day basis, and lists each of the projects that were worked on in a given day. Each of these reports can be customized. And, because theyre HTML, you can even publish them as web pages. (Yes, Ive thought of using GnoTime as a weblog management/publishing tool).

- Build against QOF version 0.6.0, if available.
- Fix issue where yelp doesnt display an entry for gnotime when browsing because it doesnt recognize the entry
