Libungif 4.1.3
libungif is a library for reading and writing gif images. more>>
libungif is a library for reading and writing gif images.
The save functionality uses an uncompressed gif algorithm to avoid the Unisys LZW patent. giflib is an API and ABI compatible replacement for use in countries where LZW is not patented.
Installation:
1. `cd to the directory containing the packages source code and type `./configure to configure the package for your system. If youre using `csh on an old version of System V, you might need to type `sh ./configure instead to prevent `csh from trying to execute
`configure itself.
Running `configure takes awhile. While running, it prints some messages telling which features it is checking for.
2. Type `make to compile the package.
3. Optionally, type `make check to run any self-tests that come with the package.
4. Type `make install to install the programs and any data files and documentation.
5. You can remove the program binaries and object files from the source code directory by typing `make clean.
To also remove the files that `configure created (so you can compile the package for a different kind of computer), type `make distclean. There is also a `make maintainer-clean target, but that is intended mainly for the packages developers.
If you use it, you may have to get all sorts of other programs in order to regenerate files that came with the distribution.
Enhancements:
- test-unx: Add a test of extension code.
- lib/egif_lib.c: Remove a debugging statement
- Makefile.am, doc/Makefile.am, pic/Makefile.am: Change wildcarded entries into explicit filenames so make distcheck will succeed.
- ChangeLog, prop=lastlog: Sync the ChangeLog for the release.
- windows: The windows subdirectory and all files under it are contributions from Lennie Araki to provide a nice interface on MS Windows.
- README: Redundancy fix.
- doc/gif_lib.html: Add EGifPutExtension{First,Next,Last} to the documentation so people know they should use it instead of EGifPutExtension.
- Makefile.am: Mark the windows files to be distributed.
- NEWS: Complete the NEWS item for 4.1.3.

Gif Disassembler 2.2.2
Gif Disassembler is a Web script that lets you upload any GIF animation and will attempt to return the individual frames. more>>
Gif Disassembler is a web-based script that lets you upload any GIF animation and after that it will attempt to return the individual frames, along with the image information from your animation.
That info can then be used to reassemble the animation after frame editing.
Enhancements:
- The permitted file upload size was lowered to 250KB.
- A redundant file size check was added prior to image processing.
- Existing upload size limits were not being enforced, which caused ImageMagick to consume all available server memory.
- Only the index.php file in the temp folder is affected.
- Updating is recommended.

$gif->print_trailer;
# send an animated gif frame by frame
# - makes for a progress bar which really means something
$gif = new Image::ParseGIF ("progress.gif") or die "failed to parse: $@n";
$gif->print_header;
$gif->print_percent(0.00); # starting...
do_some_work_stage1();
$gif->print_percent(0.10); # 10% complete
do_some_work_stage2();
$gif->print_percent(0.25); # 25% complete
do_some_work_stage3();
$gif->print_percent(0.70); # 70% complete
do_some_work_stage4();
$gif->print_percent(1.00); # done!
$gif->print_trailer;
This module parses a Graphics Interchange Format (GIF) image into its component parts. A GIF is essentially made up of one or more images - multiple images typically are used for animated gifs.

Ginterface 1.2.5
ginterface is an instant messenger application to communicate with people. more>>
ginterface is an instant messenger application to communicate with people. ginterface is aimed for the easy communication between people working in Linux Desktops.
You can set up ginterface in your LAN workspace, to communicate with people in that LAN. For using ginterface there is no need for an Internet connection and its all with in the LAN. ginterface has a separate server, gifserver (gif is the acronym of ginterface).
Run this server in one of the LAN systems and start using gif. The only thing to take note is the IP Address of the system in which the server is running, coz., this IP is needed to connect gifclient (client part of gif) to the server.
gifserver is written to run in CUI and gifclient in GUI with user-friendly interfaces. The administrator of the server has the power to add new user to ginterface.
When a new user is added, you can add him/her in your contact list. There are facilities for offline messages also. You can send offline messages to any of your contacts and he/she can see that when he/she logs in again.

Vidigi 1.2
Vidigi is a very simple image viewer I wrote in C++ using the QT4 framework. more>>
Vidigi is a very simple image viewer I wrote in C++ using the QT4 framework. It should compile without a problem on Windows, Mac OS X, or Linux.
I wrote Vidigi because I needed a simple image viewer that I could use without licensing restrictions on the Windows machines at my office. There are already several good image viewers that fit the bill on Linux, but I needed one for Windows, so I rolled my own.
Since Windows is my default platform for development (yuck!) I test the Windows binary most throughly. I provide a Linux binary below in case you dont want to build from source. It works on my copy of Kubuntu at home, but I dont guarantee that it will work on other distros. If youd like to contribute a build, please let me know!
Due to licensing restrictions with the GIF file format, the version below wont handle GIF images. It does handle bmp, jpg, png, mng, xpm, and several other formats though. (It uses QTs built-in image handling, so adding a QT image plugin for a given file type will also add support to Vidigi for that file type, in theory. In fact, the Linux build of QT4 seems to support GIF out of the box. I need to build the GIF plugin for QT/Win, but Ive had problems rebuilding QT/Win so I havent bothered yet!)
Features Im working on for future releases:
Drag and drop support
GIF support in Windows
More image formats
This is mostly for my own use, but I figured that other people might find it interesting as well, so here it is. It is licensed under the GPL , so feel free to take a look at the source and make whatever changes you want. This is my first real C++ app, and my first QT app, so dont be too hard on me.

XMagick is a library written in C, which allows integration of the ImageMagick library with any X application by providing functions which convert between the native X image format (XImage) and the native ImageMagick format (Image).
ImageMagick is a robust collection of tools and libraries to read, write, and manipulate an image in any of the more popular image formats including GIF, JPEG, PNG, PDF, and Photo CD. With ImageMagick you can create dynamic GIF making it suitable for Web applications.
Enhancements:
- Replaced my colour allocation code with John CwiklasXCC, which deals much better with PseudoColor.
