GetRSS is a shell script which displays and interacts with RSS feeds. It accepts urls, and supports bookmarks.

CGIFeed is a CGI program that reads news feeds (via XML/RDF/RSS) and prepares HTML pages for them.

Evolution RSS Reader Plugin adds RSS feeds support for evolution mail. RSS support was built upon the somewhat existing RSS support in evolution-1.4 branch.
The motivation behind this was to have RSS in same place as mails, at this moment I do not see the point having a separate RSS reader since a RSS Article is like an email message. Probably thats the same reason for NNTP support in evolution.
At this time feeds Artiles are only displayed as summary (with html).
Compilation:
Youll need a preety new version of evolution in order to build. Ive tested with 2.8.
Unpack evolution-rss-0.0.1.tar.gz.
Run:
./configure
make
make install
then enable Evolution Rss under Edit->Plugins and you are all setup.

Tiny Tiny RSS is a server-side RSS feed aggregator written in PHP and heavily based on XmlHttpRequest and related technologies for user interface and operation.

For years Ive been searching for a perfect RSS aggregator. I tried desktop ones (Straw, Blam!, Liferea) - while nice programs they usually lacked something or were overencumbered with features. Also, desktop aggregators cant solve the problem of keeping read feeds in sync between different machines.

I tried server-side aggregators, several ones. Unfortunately, I didnt find anything that felt usable, they had all the problems of classical web applications - clunky interface, no realtime updates, just not designed the way I like it, etc.

Well, then the obvious solution was to write an aggregator myself. I also felt the need to exercise in simple XmlHttpRequest web application programming, so TT-RSS was born. While obviously being on early stages on development and pretty much unfinished it offers a lot of functionality of desktop application while staying on server-side with all the benefits it provides.

Today many people are used to keeping in touch with news sites and blogs with an RSS feed reader. RSS offers access to any kind of frequently posted information. This also makes it an interesting technology for handling usenet newsgroups, which are like updated several times a day.
nntp2rss provides a bridge to access newsgroups using an RSS reader. A special feature of this application is that it assembles all the articles from various feeds in a single feed.
