Free gambas software for linux

Gdump is a very very simple netool with WHOIS an NETSTAT developed in Gambas..so depends on it.

required netstat and whois in the standard PATH=/usr/bin

This is my first application..hope to improve myself sorry.

Interface and languages are subject to improvement too.

GradeL (Gradebook for Linux) is a gradebook program for teachers. Written in Gambas, this program includes some features I felt were important in a gradebook program. While still buggy and incomplete, it is functional.

GradeL requires the development version of Gambas, currently version 1.9.26. GradeL uses Gambas components gb.eval, gb.qt, gb.qt.ext, gb.qt.kde, and gb.qt.kde.html.

Although my coding technique is at times inefficient, GradeL does meet my needs. It features a spreadsheet-style main screen with vertical column headers that include the assignment name, category, and points. Assignments are grouped in categories for reporting purposes. Teachers may enter numerical scores or alpha-numeric codes for student scores.

These codes may count either zero points or excuse the student from that particular assignment. Gambas Grade provides practical reports designed to give plenty of information while conserving paper. Current reports include complete class report, single marking period progress report, and progress reports for all students. One other feature that I really like is an average row included in the spreadsheet that displays the average for the class on every assignment and for the overall marking period grade.

GradeL project is still in its infancy. The program still has bugs and incomplete features. I am making it available now as a preview for review and testing purposes. You may not want to use it as your primary grading program at this time.

lnkMusic project is a new and cool interface for MPD (Music player daemon, www.musicpd.org ). I created it to make a very powerful and easy to use player, just like cool programs like amarok are. It is written in gambas so u need to install it before using lnkmusic.

It has some nice features like playlist sorting and a nice tray system that lets you control mpd by the tray tooltip without having to open the main window. The tag browser is amarok-like with an integrated search engine.

GoVPN project is an OpenVPN frontend for GNU/Linux operating systems, developed in Gambas.

To make it easier for non-technical users, weve built a userinterface for OpenVPN on linux.

If administrators send configuration files to the user, (s)he will be able to install and connect to the corporate OpenVPN gateway.

9-Square is a word finding game writen in Gambas.

To complete this word puzzle you have to find the nine letter word in the grid by going from letter to letter up, down, left, right or diagonally. Youll need Gambas for this which in turn needs Linux so sorry to all my Windows or Mac-using friends out there.

This is a project to create 64-bit virtual CPU, create a 64 bit assembler for the CPU and then port C to it, and then create scripts to port GNU/Linux to it.
The aim is to run 64-bit Linux on common 8/16/32 bit CPUs in applications where speed is not an issue.

This software is based on gambas so it shoud work on every Linux or U*ix like system where gambas is available.

You need to install gambas runtime or gambas gambas development ide.
I think it shoould work on higher gambas versions.

I was tired to make poor quality slideshows in VCD/SVCD format and finally met dvd-slideshow: it is a very nice program that produces high quality DVD slideshows from jpeg images. It has crop, kenburn andpan effects.

I made some slideshows but reliazed that I wasted too much time to prepare the slideshow "source": I needed a visual program to speed up the process of kenburns, crop and pan effects creation.

I googled the net but didnt find any souch program so I decided to create one myself: slcreator was born!

How I did it? I built it using gambas: a visual ide with a object oriented basic interpreter which permits to create great programs in a "fast" way. I tried some other languages but I was not skilled enough to use them for this kind of project! gambas permitted me to realize the job in a very nice way!
