Keen little rabbit ears 0.8
Keen little rabbit ears is a simple ear training program for Linux and Windows. more>>
Keen little rabbit ears is a simple ear training program for Linux and Windows. It is free of charge. You can exercise the recogniton of intervalls, chords, scales and chord progressions.
Keen little rabbit ears requires the installation of Perl (Version 5), Perl/Tk, Perl::MIDI and an extermal MIDI player, like timidity (Verion 0.2i). Keen little rabbit ears is written in perl, uses Perl/Tk for the user interface, Perl::MIDI to write MIDI files and timidity to play MIDI files.
This is an early release, which means that there is a number of features which are not implemented. But keen little rabbit ears works pretty fine on my Pentium 90 using Suse Linux (Version 6.1) and under Window 95 too.
I strongly recommend everyone to read a good book on this. There are several ways to train. In general you do it like this. In the first level only select 2 or 3 items you already know or which are
the most common. In the next level you proceed and add the next 2 common items.
Below is are two lists, which can be used as guideline. But it is usually better to ask your teacher which exercises should you train.
Enhancements:
- Quiz mode
- advanced root note selection
- extension to playing direction (both)
- highlighting of selected instrument / root note
- 440 Hz (sing an "a" test)
- bug fix (pitch drill)

HTML::EP
HTML::EP is a system for embedding Perl into HTML. more>>
HTML::EP is a system for embedding Perl into HTML.
SYNOPSIS
< html >< head >< title >CGI-Env< /title >< /head >
< ep-comment >
This is an HTML document. You see. Perhaps you wonder about
the unknown HTML tags like ep-comment above? They are part
of the EP system. For example, this comment section will
be removed and you wont see it in your browser.
< /ep-comment >
< ep-perl >
# This is an example of embedding Perl into the page.
# We create a variable called time, containing the current
# time. This variable will be used below.
my $self = $_;
$self->{time} = localtime(time());
; # Return an empty string; result becomes embedded into the
# HTML page
< /ep-perl >
< body >< h1 >The current time< /h1 >
Your HTML::EP system is up and running: The current time is $time$.
< /body >
< /html >
NEWS
HTML::EP does now have a homepage, a CVS repository and a bug tracking system. Try
http://html-ep.sourceforge.net/
Have you ever written a CGI binary? Easy thing, isnt it? Was just fun!
Have you written two CGI binaries? Even easier, but not so much fun.
How about the third, fourth or fifth tool? Sometimes you notice that you are always doing the same:
- Reading and parsing variables
- Formatting output, in particular building tables
- Sending mail out from the page
- Building a database connection, passing CGI input to the database and vice versa
- Talking to HTML designers about realizing their wishes
You see, its soon to become a pain. Of course there are little helpers around, for example the CGI module, the mod_perl suite and lots of it more. Using them make live a lot easier, but not so much as you like. CGI(3). mod_perl(3).
On the other hand, there are tools like PHP or WebHTML. Incredibly easy to use, but not as powerfull as Perl. Why not get the best from both worlds? This is what EP wants to give you, similar to ePerl or HTML::EmbPerl. I personally believe that EP is simpler and better extendible than the latter two. ePerl(1). HTML::EmbPerl(3).
In short, its a single, but extensible program, that scans an HTML document for certain special HTML tags. These tags are replaced by appropriate output generated by the EP. What remains is passed to the browser. Its just like writing HTML for an enhanced browser!

Kannibale 0.1.3

Kannibale is a little filebrowser i am making for fun. It is in a verry early stadium and verry few things work.
This is the first time i do something in c++ so it is faaaaar from something useful, so please do not shoot me.
Naturally i will not go in competition with the konqueror developers, i have just tried to try something a little different.
What is "working":
- modern and classic view
- fast "search" if yout type something
- zoom
- some preview
- cut copy and paste is actually disabled
- drag&drop is compatible with konqueror

Fishbot 0.2
Fishbot provides a clone of the Qnet IRC fishbot service. more>>
Fishbot provides a clone of the Qnet IRC fishbot service.
Fishbot is an IRC bot service written in PHP. Its a clone of the original fishbot that Qnet uses.
This script is a "clone" of the real fishbot that is used on Quakenet. I dont know if it works exactly like the real fishbot, I just tested the real one on some commands and tryed to make something like it.
Original idea is from the IRCop splidge on Quakenet.
Its a fun-bot and build as a service, so it connets to your ircd as a service and try to do his job.
Enhancements:
- Fixed the on-join-empty-chan bug. When the bot starts at the first time it checks if the channel is empty, if it is, it will part it.
- Added a new command. You can use /msg help , and you should receive a simpel explenation of the given topic.
- Changed a little bit the script structure :)

Mono-Readline 0.0.1
Mono-Readline is a simple little assembly for .Net (specifically Mono) that provides support for GNU Readline. more>>
Mono-Readline is a simple little assembly for .Net (specifically Mono) that provides support for GNU Readline support within Mono applications.
Mono-Readline project is based on the code of Martin Baulig in the Mono debugger. I just took it and made it all nice and autoconf/automake enabled.
Its pretty straight forward, but here is a short sample program:
using Mono.ReadLine;
using System;
using System.Reflection;
public class Test {
public static void Main(string[] args) {
GnuReadLine readline = new GnuReadLine();
Console.WriteLine("Monkeys!");
string the_prompt = "This is a test: ";
string result;
while (true) {
result = readline.ReadLine(the_prompt);
if (result != null) {
readline.AddHistory(result);
} else {
break;
}
}
}
}
You should be able to compile this with mcs -r:mono.readline test.cs and get a little executable program that keeps going until you hit CTRL-D. There is lots of other fun you could do such as setting up continuation prompts and what not. Basically, most of this is ripped from Martins code in the mono debugger.
But wait, odds are youre going to get some funky error saying it cant find the package or something like that. If thats the case, make sure you have MONO_PATH="/usr/local/lib" set before running the program and compiling. For example to compile run:
MONO_PATH="/usr/local/lib" mcs -r:mono.readline test.cs
And then to run type:
MONO_PATH="/usr/local/lib" mono test.exe
Im not a real Mono pro, but my hope is that this could possibly help someone else out. Im thinking that in the future I may also include a patch for IronPython.
As always, if you have comments or patches, please let me know.
