Obfuscated Tiny C Compiler (OTCC) is a very small C compiler I wrote in order to win the International Obfuscated C Code Contest (IOCCC) in 2002.

My goal was to write the smallest C compiler which is able to compile itself. I choose a subset of C which was general enough to write a small C compiler. Then I extended the C subset until I reached the maximum size authorized by the contest: 2048 bytes of C source excluding the ;, {, } and space characters.

I choose to generate i386 code. The original OTCC code could only run on i386 Linux because it relied on endianness and unaligned access. It generated the program in memory and launched it directly. External symbols were resolved with dlsym().

In order to have a portable version of OTCC, I made a variant called OTCCELF. It is only a little larger than OTCC, but it generates directly a dynamically linked i386 ELF executable from a C source without relying on any binutils tools! OTCCELF was tested succesfully on i386 Linux and on Sparc Solaris.

NOTE: My other project TinyCC which is a fully featured ISOC99 C compiler was written by starting from the source code of OTCC !

LyX is an advanced open source document processor that encourages an approach to writing based on the structure of your documents, not their appearance. LyX lets you concentrate on writing, leaving details of visual layout to the software.

LyX runs on many Unix platforms, OS/2, and under Windows/Cygwin (this port requires an X server). LyX project can also run natively on Mac OS X, thanks to the Qt/Mac library.

LyX produces high quality, professional output -- using LaTeX, an industrial strength typesetting engine, in the background; LyX is far more than a front-end to LaTeX, however. No knowledge of LaTeX is necessary to use LyX, although it will give a user more power.

LyX is stable and fully featured. It has been used for documents as large as a thesis, or as small as a business letter. Despite its simple GUI interface (available in many languages), it supports tables, figures, and hyperlinked cross-references, and has a best-of-breed math editor.

Silky is a secure chat client for SILC protocol.
The project was launched in summer 2003, motivated by the fact that there was no good graphical SILC client available. There was obvious demand for an easy to use client, as at the time there was only one fully featured client and it was a textual client.
First proof-of-concept version of Silky was drafted together quickly in couple of days, and it got some people interested in developing a fully featured graphical client. Now, after year and a half and with contributions from many friendly people Silky is starting to look and feel like a real chat client.
The primary objective of the project is to create a chat client that suits the needs of beginners as well as advanced users. Silky differentiates from other simple SILC clients, such as GAIM, by having more features and flexibility, but without losing the easy of use.
Portability is one of the key features of the Silky. The code has been tested to work in all major operating systems including Linux, Mac OS X and Windows. Silky should run in all kinds of environments from embedded Linux devices to powerful desktop workstation.
Next steps of the project are to complete all missing features, and to get Silky shipped with all major Linux distributions.

pebugger is an interactive command-line based debugger for PHP, written in PHP. The project vaguely resembles gdb. Its basicaly a dbgp client.

This is currently in an early development stage. Its stable and usable, but not fully featured, yet. Its something I am keen to start using myself, so features should be added fairly quickly.

So far, you can set breakpoints, step through code, and query variables.

GNUMail.app is a fully featured mail application running on Linux (or FreeBSD, OpenBSD, etc) and Apple Mac OS X.
GNUMail.app uses the GNUstep development framework or Apple Cocoa, which is based on the OpenStep specification provided by NeXT, Inc.. GNUMail.app is licensed under the GPL, and the full sources of the application are available.
