A note to Konqueror / Safari users: We do respect the work of the Open Source community, especially the K-Teams. However we did not have the time to dig too much into why Konqueror does not work as the others. But because Mozilla 1.x does work and comes with most Linux boxes, we focused on development of the supported browsers, rather than finding the key issues of this problem.
A note to Opera fans: Unfortunately the css and javascript support of all current versions does not allow many operations we do need (like dynamic clipping etc.) We did hope that the upcoming Opera 7.x version can be included as well. But so it is not the case.
Despite the success of NS 4.x it is clearly in excess of age. Therefore we are sorry to inform that NS 4.x or any prior versions of above mentioned browser cannot be used. In addition, the javascript engine of NS7.x seems to be very slow when moving or resizing desktop windows.

AMA Desktop Linux is a Linux Distribution for AMA Computer University.

AMA Desktop 2007 had many different exclusive applications and patches designed to make everything work seamlessly. Its a designers Linux with a goal to make everything easy to use, attractive, innovative, powerful and most of all, simple. Most of the applications included are:
- Welcome Center - aims to provide a brief introduction of the basics of AMA Desktop 2007.

- Resource Manager - A tool that detects the system memory and disables some services via gconf if the memory is not met.
- Live Chat Support - An interface to create an account in Freenode and to communicate with other AMA Desktop 2007 users.
- Local Network Messenger - An interface that helps the user to create Bonjour IM service and provide an option to load them automatically upon boot.
- Draw Anywhere - An interface for gromit, that provides annotation capabilities even without Compiz. This is intended for presentations.
- Multicast Filesharing - An interface for udpcast, that sends files to multitude of computers within the network.

openModeller project is a generic framework for carrying out fundamental niche modelling experiments - typically used to predict species distribution given a set of environmental raster layers.
The openModeller Desktop application builds on the openModeller library by providing a user friendly graphical user interface for carrying out niche modelling experiments.

GNU/Linux Desktop Testing Project (GNU/LDTP) is aimed at producing high quality test automation framework and cutting-edge tools that can be used to test GNU/Linux Desktop and improve it.

It uses the "Accessibility" libraries to poke through the applications user interface. The framework has tools to generate "AppMap" by reading through the user interface components of an application. The framework also has tools to record test-cases based on user-selection on the application.

GNU/LDTP core framework uses "AppMap" and the recorded "test-cases" to test an application and gives the status of each test-case as output.

As of now, GNU/LDTP can test any GNOME application which are accessibility enabled, Mozilla, OpenOffice.org, any Java application (should have a UI based on swing) and KDE 4.0 applications based on QT 4.0 (based on the press releases by KDE).

Enhancements:
- SAM 2007.1-test1 is available for testing. The most important changes: OpenOffice.org was dropped, here is the reason: SAM now comes with basic support for more than 50 languages, proprietary ATI and NVIDIA drivers have been added to the live CD with a nice GUI to install them, under the hood it is running a development version of kernel 2.6.20.11. All packages have been updated to their newest versions available in the PCLinuxOS repositories, some new ones have been added (PDFedit, Planner, Searchmonkey, Ntfs-config, VirtualBox...) and a fresh theme was created.
