Time Manager is a cgi-bin script that keeps track on how much time you have spent at work. This works with the user signing on and off whenever he or she arrives or leaves.
Time Manager relies heavily on the Date::Manip module which has to be installed before running the script.

Audio Format Converter is a an Amarok script that allows you to convert the audio format of the tracks in the playlist. The script takes a snapshot of the current playlist. Once the conversion has started, you can go back to using amaroK normally.

Supported files for both input and output include .flac, .ogg, .mp3, .mpc, .m4a, and .wav. Additionally, .wma, .ra, and are supported for input. (See below for the required packages.)

I dont know how to do anything with metatags from .wma or .ra. All I know is tags will get transferred to the output file if and only if the tags show up in the amaroK playlist. If they arent there, I suggest converting the files, then using a real tag editor like Easy Tag to put them in to the converted files.

This has only been tested on amaroK 1.2.4, but it should work on any amaroK>=1.2

The original files are NOT deleted. If the output file will overwrite an existing file, a dialog will appear to ask you whether to go ahead and overwrite or to skip the track. If you try to convert a file into the format its already in, a dialog will ask you how to handle this situation.

Depending on the number of tracks and the speed of your computer, this can take a long time to run. With each track, a passive popup will let you know what track its processing. At any time, you can stop the script by clicking stop in the amaroK script GUI.

ttrk (tektracker) is a console MIDI sequencer with a tracker-style step editor.I was annoyed by the bad step editors found on pretty much all MIDI sequencers I could find, and since I was big fan of the tracker interface, I used the user interface ideas behind a tracker in my design.
There are five main goals for creating ttrk:
1. Tracker-style step editor, think ScreamTracker3.
2. Pattern based sequencer per track, more like Sonic Foundrys ACID.
3. Big, accessable track mute buttons, think Alesis MMT8.
4. Realtime editing, never need to push stop.
5. All functions directly accessable from the keyboard for rapid editing.

Informa projects goal is to provide a news aggregation library based on the Java Platform. The idea was born by the authors of two Java news reader applications (HotSheet and Risotto).
We intended to unify the common parts into a library which can be used by any developer who needs to address those issues in their application.
What is the scope of Informa?
With Informa we enable you with a harmonised view on a news channel object model. Both channels and news items do have metadata assigned, it does not make any difference from which channel format they were originally retrieved (RSS 0.9x, RSS 1.0 / RDF, RSS 2.0, Atom 0.3 and Atom 1.0).
To ease finding relevant news items an integration with the full-text search engine (Jakartas Lucene) may be used optionally.
Besides exporting news channels in a specified XML format there is a persistence backend available using the Hibernate O/R mapping framework. This allows to persist the whole object model into a JDBC-compliant relational database. As default database HypersonicSQL was chosen, because it is very easy to embed.
Alternatively you may want to give the other persistent backend based on Castor JDO storage mechanism a try (from Informa release 0.7.0 not any longer supported).
Enhancements:
- Informa was migrated to Java JDK 5.
- The auto-generation of Hibernate mapping files with XDoclet was dropped in order to have full control over the mapping definition.
- Hibernate was upgraded from version 2 to 3.
- A new persistence manager allows you to integrate more easily with your Spring-Hibernate configuration.

Dirac is a video codec that provides general-purpose video compression and decompression tools comparable with state-of-the-art systems.
Dirac video codec is available for distribution under the MPL version 1.1 software license.
Dirac is an open source video codec. It uses a traditional hybrid video codec architecture, but with the wavelet transform instead of the usual block transforms. Motion compensation uses overlapped blocks to reduce block artefacts that would upset the transform coding stage.
Dirac can code just about any size of video, from streaming up to HD and beyond, although certain presets are defined for different applications and standards. These cover the parameters that need to be set for the encoder to work, such as block sizes and temporal prediction structures, which must otherwise be set by hand.
Dirac is intended to develop into real coding and decoding software, capable of plugging into video processing applications and media players that need compression.
It is intended to develop into a simple set of reliable but effective coding tools that work over a wide variety of content and formats, using well-understood compression techniques, in a clear and accessible software structure. It is not intended as a demonstration or reference coder.
Enhancements:
- This is a major release to comply with the latest version of the Dirac Bytestream Specification.
- Support has been added for constant bit-rate coding in addition to existing constant quality coding.
- Arithmetic coding and motion vector data partitioning have been improved.
- The encoder and decoder API have changed.
