SILC Plugin for Kopete is a protocol plugin for Kopete, the KDE Instant Messenger. If you ever cursed that you cannot join the SILC Network using Kopete this can help you. It will add SILC support to Kopete.
The plugin is based on libsilc which is part of the SILC Toolkit mentioned above. The library was initially written by Pekka Riikonen and is still maintained by him.
Main features:
- Channels can be joined or added to the contact list.
- One-to-one chats can be initiated by clicking members participating in group chats.
- Password protected channels are supported.
- User invitation is handy through drag-and-drop functionality.
- Signature verification and public key handling are fully supported.
- File transfesr to other buddies is possible, including graphical progress information and automatic detection of NATed workstations.
- guided channel configuration is partially available, this is, mainly topic setting and some boolean options
- MIME support is fully implemented. So it is possible to send files to channels.
- Attributes can distribute your mood, your location on earth or the medium you want to be contacted through.

Java for C++ is a tool to generate C++-wrapper-classes for existing Java-classes. This tool reads a list of Java class names and creates source code for C++-classes to wrap them.
The implementation of the wrapper classes uses JNI (Java Native Interface) to call the "real" Java classes.
The C++-API to use these wrapper classes is very close to the API of the original Java classes. So developers of C++-software can use Java-classes as if they have been implemented in C++.
Enhancements:
- A problem where null values for method arguments, method return values, or field values caused some generated code to crash was fixed.
- Updating is strongly encouraged.

Screensavers for Xandros 4.x contains twelve different screensavers you can try out for Xandros. They are static builds, so they should work out of the box. You may need OpenAL for the Really Slick Screensavers, and the sound is a bit scratchy, since I compiled the thing with Arts so the sounds would work all the time.
You dont have to have OpenAL installed though, you just wont get sound. Kanjisaver needs the Chineese fonts installed in order to function properly, so if you deselected those, pop in your Xandros cd and install them before installing it.
Other than that, the rest *should* work out of the box just fine. There are additional builds available, but this only gives me 12 spots. Simply right-click save the link for the package you want. Then Double click to install.

Freebooters project is a "Pirates!" clone based on SDL.
Freebooters is a strategy/action game set in the Caribbean Sea during the golden age of piracy.
It is based on the game mechanics of Sid Meiers "Pirates!", but is not an exact clone and uses neither code nor copyrighted material from the original.
The Caribbean Sea in the late 16th century: The Dutch, French, English and Spanish crown aim to expand their areas of influence.
You as an suspicious young captain are trying to make the best of it, as you may either become a brave merchant soul, a freebooting hero of your crown or a bloodlusty dreaded pirate leader.
Freebooters will hopefully become a free clone of the Sid Meier classic Pirates!. Its written in C++ using SDL and licensed under the GNU General Public License.

- Gameplay:
- Some of the crucial game mechanisms already work, but they need to be improved a lot, both with regard to features (refine the mechanisms, simulate more realistically) and to playability (how hard is a game, do certain features make sense at all?)
- Several core elements are missing (e.g. fencing duels with other captains, attacking a harbour from the seaside)
- Therell be a lot more harbours all over the Caribbean Sea
- Most game data is bogus (such as features of the ships, harbours, history etc.) and has to be replaced with realistic ones
- Therell be a career mode and a mission mode
- Tech:
- The current menus are mostly prototypes, theyll be replaced with clickable images maps, which are yet to be raytraced. However, the game will always be comfortably playable with the keyboard only.
- The current selection of targets on the map is a prototype as well. It will be replaced with a navigatable sea map as in the original game. There is already a demo world as a separate binary called seapassagedemo. For the 0.3 release this will be integrated along with the full map data.
- Lots of tuning and other improvements are needed
- Multiplayer capabilities over IP will be tackled once the game is properly in shape for single player games and the game mechanisms are fully established
- This is an item for the very far future, for a foreseeable timeframe Freebooters will be singleplayer only like the original.
