Penny Pool 0.5.4
Penny Pool is a small utility to ease the pooling of expenses. more>>
Penny Pool is a small utility to ease the pooling of expenses.
It facilitates the administration of many (small) shared expenses, which typically add up to significant amounts. It uses PHP/MySQL/Apache, and has an emphasis on easy installation.
A well-known problem in groups of people is how to distribute costs of collective payments. What usually happens is that one person pays and expects the rest of the group to then pay their respective shares to him / her. This is not a problem for a single incident, but when multiple events occur, with different persons paying, it would clearly be better to pool these events.
Payments can then be set up within the group, such that the number of money transfers is minimized.
PennyPool helps in administering these kinds of expenses in the form of a simple web application. First of all, the mere fact that expenses can be entered in a central location (to which everyone has access) makes it clear to everyone who should pay what. Furthermore, it is possible to group these expenses in settlements, which can be used as a starting point for actual payments among the members of the group.
These payments can also be entered and attached to the settlement. In this way, the progress of the settlement can be seen and it is obvious how much should still be paid.
The database only stores information that was entered directly. All presented data (e.g. balance) is calculated in real-time.
Precision is therefore limited by MySQL and/or PHP, only two decimal places are shown for readability. (this also means that the cents/pennies dont always add up, in which case a "miereneuker" should use the rounded cumulative result. As opposed to harassing me...)
Enhancements:
- It is now possible to bill participants multiple times. This makes it easy to use PennyPool even when some participants to an event are not registered users.

Labyrinth of Worlds 0.4
Labyrinth of Worlds project is an Ultima Underworld II rewrite. more>>
Labyrinth of Worlds project is an Ultima Underworld II rewrite.
LoW is a rewrite of the first-person role-playing game Ultima Underworld II: Labyrinth of Worlds that came out in the early 1990s. One of the most celebrated game of its genre, this rewrite attempts to recapture the minutiae and spirit of the original.
At the moment, the tech demo allows you to walk (and jump) around all the Underworld II levels and worlds, has all NPCs and most monsters. You also get to see and manipulate all the dynamic objects of the game, and peek inside containers. The paperdoll has been implemented, too, and lets you access your inventory as well as wear/wield armor and weapons.
It is now possible to converse with the various NPCs. While not all the conversations work correctly (or at all) most do for the most part and it is now possible to actually understand the storyline. :) NPCs are also able to give items, now.
Another worthy project you might want to go take a look at is Underworld Adventures which seeks to recreate the first installement of that series and is doing a darn good job of it.
If you are an Ultima VII fan, then Exult is going to tickle you pink! The freshly released version 1.0 will allow you to play Black Gate and Serpent Isle with the addons on modern architectures, with a few gameplay improvements to boot!
Enhancements:
- Fixed executables
- new gameplay features, including wearable items
- improved user interface
- performance improvements
- more complete conversation support (including being given items),
- working keys and locks

Le Petit Poucet 0.1.0
Le Petit Poucet is free software to display and edit GPS routes and tracks in a 3D scene. more>>
Le Petit Poucet is free software to display and edit GPS routes and tracks in a 3D scene. The aim of Le Petit Poucet is to build the scene around the GPS data and 2D maps or 3D terrain models.
Apart from being techies, we are outdoor sport lovers and want to prepare our outings and show them to our friends and families. We hope you will find Le Petit Poucet useful. The objective statement being laid, here is the reality and roadmap.
Current version is a pre-alpha version numbered 0.0.2, it is dedicated to David Thompson a great explorer of western Canada. He is been surveying the wild land for 28 years and he is the first person to complete a survey of the Columbia River.
Le Petit Poucet is now able to read a lot of GPS file formats and to connect to the GPS receivers thanks to GPSBabel. It is also able to mix coordinate systems in projected or earth centric referentials.
Currently. Le Petit Poucet is called from the terminal, see command line manual or type the -h or --help option to get the command line usage. We hope to provide quickly a graphical user interface. The program has been compiled and run on Linux (Intel) and Mac Os X (v 10.3), it should work on many other platforms as the core libraries (Open Scene Graph, GPSBabel and GDAL) are portable.
Main features:
Main features
- Loading of tracks or routes, independent waypoints and maps or terrain models and display them on a 3D scene.
- Support of many GPS data file formats through GPSBabel or custom parsers.
- Download GPS receiver data via Serial or USB port.
- 3D navigation based on continuous zoom, swivel and pan with excellent real time anti-aliasing.
- Mixing of several coordinate systems (e.g.: geocentric and projected, UTM and Lambert).
- Coordinate system selection from command line.
Tracks
- Tracks are shown as a set of track segments. Track segments are sets of waypoints connected with a line.
- Track segments are not connected but share the same color and input coordinate system.
- Multiple tracks are shown in a viewer, track color is automatically chosen to visually distinguish tracks.
Waypoints
- Waypoints are displayed as a 3D symbol plus a text in case of named waypoint.
- Name text is automatically oriented toward screen and font size is adjusted dynamically too.
- Text color is selected from command line
- Waypoint information (location, elevation and time) is displayed in a head up display (HUD) when mouse flies over the point.
- Waypoint symbol is loaded from file
- Feature points, i.e. point out of a track, are selected. Are shown only the ones that are in the area of the displayed maps and tracks.
Maps
- 2D Maps are displayed in 3D perspective with box subtrat.PC
- Map loading is currently only supported for the Carte Sur Table file format.
- Map elevation in the 3D scene is computed based on the minimum elevation of the loaded tracks to reduce perspective effects.
- For tracks without maps a box is displayed below the track to improve perspective.
- In the current version, loading of 3D terrain model is through Open Scene Graph (OSG). Models must be projected and optimized using OSG utilities like osgdem see Loading Blue Marble.
Enhancements:
- All the features of release 0.0.5 are now accessible from menus and dialog boxes.
- A graphical user interface is used to wrap the main functionality of the track viewer in 3D, such as opening and closing files; focusing and zooming on tracks, waypoints, or segments; and generating terrains from downloaded or local imagery.

Subversive project is an Eclipse plug-in which provides Subversion support. From a users point of view, Subversive provides Subversion support similar to CVS support, which is already part of the standard Eclipse platform.
The JavaSVN library is used for interaction with Subversion. In addition to functionality, Subversive pays special attention to usability and nice interface.
The Subversive project is a brand new Eclipse plug-in that provides Subversion support. From a user point of view, Subversive provides Subversion support similar to CVS support, which is already part of the standard Eclipse platform. The main use cases, which are familiar to CVS users, are:
- Connection to the repository using different connection types
- Repository browsing
- Check-out
- Synchronization
- Commiting
- Update
- Resolving conflicts
- Adding to the list of ignored resources
JavaSVN open-source library is used for interaction with Subversion. Having compared it with other tools that use JavaSVN, the Subversive team together with the JavaSVN team extended the standard Subversion API. This improvement gives Subversive an advantage if compared with other native and Java-based Subversion clients. The following solutions, now available in Subversive, are not present in other Subversion clients because of standard API limitations.

Trepidation 10-29 Development Build
Trepidation is a first-person person shooter based on the IOQ3 engine. more>>
Trepidation is a first-person person shooter based on the IOQ3 engine.
Trepidation is a first person shooter set in the future based on the GPL IOQ3 Quake Engine. Trepidation features all new weapons, maps and vehicles.. Currently planned game types are Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture The Flag, Last Man Standing, Arsenal, Instagib and a few others to be announced.
Trepidation intends to be a 100% free GPL multiplayer first person shooter based on the IOQ3 Quake 3 Engine. The game media will also be GPL/Open Source so that others can improve and expand upon. Trepidation will include many standard gametypes such as DM, TDM, and CTF with instagib options, as well as the introduction 2-4 new gametypes. Each game mode will have additional attributes that can be activated via the configuration such as wall jumping, double/multijumping, instagib, multiflag and return the flag (for flag based games).
Trepidation will introduce new aspects to the physics of the Q3 engine, The new physics are geared towards trick jumping with weapons and high speed jumping. Trepidation also introduces air and land vehicles, something that hasnt been seen in similar projects. Trepidation will also include an improved unlagged network code based on unlagged 2.0 but more finely tuned to the new physics present.
The project will utilize a modified version of the GPL dpmaster for the master server code base.
The game will have ports for *nix, *BSD, Win32 and possibly an OSX port. OpenAL will be used for sound. Surround sound supported. AVI video capture of demos, Ogg Vorbis & MP3 support. Much improved QVM tools and a well documented SDK for mod authors. MinGW compilation support on Windows and cross-compilation on Linux, which is already included in the IOQ3 Project.

Main features:
- Good graphics, physics, sound, and gameplay (for a hobbyist game)
- Multiplayer over TCP/IP
- 3 types of vehicles with individual characteristics (mechs, hovercrafts, and helicopter-like aircrafts)
- Distinct weapon types (classical projectile weapons, beam weapons, ballistic weapons, etc.)
- Distinct map types (from close combat indoor maps to large landscapes)
