Free file transfer wizard software for linux

Simple File Transfer is a pure useless program which allows you exchange files with remote computers via Internet. This program has been written for personnal use, so dont blame me if you think I am stupid doing such tool for the others.
It should run on every POSIX compliant Operating System, but I cant give you any complete list.
If you want to compile it under *BSD, maybe youll have to disable the uname() call by running the configure script with the --with-uname=no option.

Apple Disk Transfer ProDOS (or ADTPro for short) transfers diskettes and logical disk images between Apple ][-era computers and the modern world. If youre familiar with the original ADT, ADTPro extends ADTs reach by working with more logical disk formats, drive types, communications devices, and host operating systems.

Server
The server program runs on a computer capable of running Java. Depending on how you want to connect to your Apple, you might also need a serial port and cables, an Uthernet card for your apple, or a couple of audio patch cables. The server offers a compact user interface that shows what communications are taking place between the host and the Apple ][.
The servers primary role is to send and receive disk images as requested from the client. But if you have recently acquired an Apple and a disk drive, and you have no software for it - youre in a bit of a tricky situation if you want to move software from the Internet all the way to your shiny new Apple. ADTPros server can help get you get bootstrapped.
Client
The client side runs on the Apple ][. It handles most of the user interaction. When choosing disks/volumes to transfer, anything that ProDOS can see is fair game. Transferring data occurs with a 20k buffer on the Apple, so all transfers are broken up into 20k chunks. A progress indicator shows how far it is into the current chunk, as well as a running count of the total progress.
Enhancements:
- This release has been enhanced with Jean-Marc Boutillon (Deckard)s FASTDSK fast Disk II reading routines.
- This results in a speed boost of 25%-33% for Disk II to host transfers.
- Bootstrapping operations have been reduced, as there is no longer a dependency on ProDOS BASIC.

Little Wizard is a development environment for children. Little Wizard can be programmed without using keyboard, just by using drag and drop.
Even children in primary school can understand how it works. Little Wizard project uses GTK+ and libXML.
Enhancements:
- This release fixes errors found in the parser and other minor problems.

Fast Data Transfer is an application for efficient data transfers that is capable of reading and writing at disk speed over wide area networks (with standard TCP).
It can be used to stream a large set of files across the network, so a large dataset composed of thousands of files can be sent or received at full speed, without the network transfer restarting between files.
The project is written in Java, runs an all major platforms, and is easy to use.
Main features:
- Streams a dataset (list of files) continuously, using a managed pool of buffers through one or more TCP sockets.
- Uses independent threads to read and write on each physical device
- Transfers data in parallel on multiple TCP streams, when necessary
- Uses appropriate-sized buffers for disk I/O and for the network
- Restores the files from buffers asynchronously
- Resumes a file transfer session without loss, when needed

File Beamer is an easy to use file transfer tool. The programm is platform independent. That means it runs with Windows 98/ME/2000/XP, Linux, Unix and MacOS X.

This is made possible by using Trolltechs Qt Library which provides an easy to use GUI toolkit, networking functions and a lot more.

File Beamer is free open source software and was released under the GPL license.

Usage:

Receiving files:

Click the "Receive" tab
If the receiver is behind a firewall or router, check "reverse connection" and enter the senders IP or host name. *
Click the "listen" button. The client can now receive files
When receving a file, a "Save as" dialog appears. Choose a place to safe the file.

Sending files:

Click the "Send" tab
If the receiver is behind a firewall or router check "reverse connection" *
Else input the target IP address or host name and port
Select a file to send either by typing the path or by clicking the "..." button
Click the "Send" button (target must be in listen mode)

Package Wizard is a very useful tool that creates rpm, Debian and Slackware packages.
You need to install the Kommander (1.1) before:

The general rpm, Debian and Slackware package includes a service menu, so you can start it from the KDE context menu (section Actions).
TODO:
- Define alternetive for gcc and qt.
- Improve the check function before checkinstall.
Known bugs:
- After qmake, the file list display is not refreshed.
- The error messages are not redirected to the integrated konsole during ./configure.
- The error detection after compilation is not complete.
- Some problems maybe present for non-root users.
- Time stamp problems (during checkinstall) may be present on old rpm based systems.
Enhancements:

RPM Wizard is an installation program for RPM packages. Using a wizard interface, it makes installing easy even for beginners. With features such as automatic dependency handling, it aims to become the most easy-to-use RPM installation program.
RPM Wizard is written in Python and uses the PyQt bindings for the Qt GUI toolkit. It is Open Source and available under the GNU General Public License.

Ease of use
- RPM Wizard is designed to be as easy to use as possible. The program does not require any previous knowledge of how RPM works. When installed properly, the user can just click on an RPM file in the file manager and RPM Wizard starts automatically. The installation is supposed to go as smoothly as any Windows installation. If you think that something could be made more easy-to-use just drop me an email. No one knows better than the user.
Automatic dependency handling
- This is the new feature in RPM Wizard 0.6. A common problem when installing RPM packages is that the software is missing some dependencies, i.e some other software that is needed to get the program working. With most other RPM installers the user himself has to look for other RPM packages that satisfy the dependencies and install them first. RPM Wizard tries to do this automatically by searching a premade database of the content of the distribution CDs. If you are installing from a directory on your hard drive, it can also make use of the packages in that directory to satisfy the missing dependencies.
Install from a list of distribution packages NEW!
- If you have the RPM Wizard database module installed you can install packages by choosing the package name from a list. The list only includes packages that are newer than those installed. No longer will you have to search through all your distribution CD:s to find the package you are looking for.
Details dialog
- This dialog gives a lot of details for those interested without getting in the way for users that just want to get the installation through quickly. You can view the files of the package, the size, lists of provides and depends and more.
Shortcut on the desktop
- At the end of the wizard the user is given the option to put a shortcut on all users desktops (both KDE and Gnome).
Launch program
- This option starts the installed program as soon as the user clicks Finish.

3gp movie wizard is a small perl/kommander script that helps you to convert almost any movie format to 3gp movie, suitable for watching on the modern mobile phones (tested only on Motorola V360 but should work with any mobile with 3gp support and 176 pixel wide screen).

It should be extremely easy to use, yet offer advanced options such as a good subtitle support and video equalizer.
