Fight Win Prevail 0.0.8

Fight Win Prevail 0.0.8

Fight Win Prevail (or FWP for short) is a hobbyist multiplayer first person shooter. more>>
Fight Win Prevail (or FWP for short) is a hobbyist multiplayer first person shooter. Fight Win Prevail is set in an imaginary universe where fearless pilots fight to the death with their futuristic vehicles.
Gameplay lies somewhere between the Mechwarrior-series and Quake 3. It is faster and more action-orientated than in Mechwarrior, but tries to avoid the jump-around-like-crazy-and-fire-at-everything-that-moves-gameplay known from Quake 3.
Fight Win Prevail is a pure multiplayer game and does not have a real singleplayer mode. Our primary target are LANs, but the game is playable over the internet, too.
Main features:
- Good graphics, physics, sound, and gameplay (for a hobbyist game)
- Multiplayer over TCP/IP
- 3 types of vehicles with individual characteristics (mechs, hovercrafts, and helicopter-like aircrafts)
- Distinct weapon types (classical projectile weapons, beam weapons, ballistic weapons, etc.)
- Distinct map types (from close combat indoor maps to large landscapes)
- An extendable set of vehicles, weapons, and maps
- 4 game modes (deathmatch, team deathmatch, sole survivor, team survivor)

FAangband 0.2.3

FAangband 0.2.3

FAangband is a first age Tolkien-based variant of Angband. more>>
FAangband is a first age Tolkien-based variant of Angband.
A roguelike game set in the wilderness and dungeons of Middle Earth in the first age. Fight your way through plains, mountains, forests, swamps, deserts and dungeons to face Morgoth, Lord of Darkness. Not a short game.
Here are the big changes:
- Races have been significantly changed. Half-Orcs, Half-Trolls, Half-elves and Shadow Fairies have gone; there are new varieties of Elves, Dwarves and Men. Dwarves as a whole tend to have better Intelligence than Wisdom; the reverse is true for (most) Elves and Hobbits. Different races also have significantly different starting conditions.
- There is wilderness. Wilderness is like and unlike dungeon. On the similar side, it is randomly generated in rectangular pieces; the "level" still only goes up or down by one in going from one piece to the next; there is a structured way of advancing through the wilderness. On the other hand, it looks different (no rooms); there are sometimes choices as to how to advance (north or west, maybe, rather than just down); and tactics become quite different. There are five basic types of wilderness - open plains, dense forests, rocky mountains, harsh deserts and pathless swamps. It also has day and night, which affects light-hating monsters and the players need for light.
- There are multiple towns, small and large, spread throughout the wilderness. Each race starts in its natural town. This means that the starting towns for some races are in the middle of quite dangerous wilderness. In order to reduce extreme effects of this (instant death, or instant growth of 15 levels), some races have improved starting equipment, and several races start with some experience already (advancing them in character level up to a maximum of level 5). High elves are no longer the easy option, at least at first. You can move your house to a different town, but only once you have walked there.
- There are multiple dungeons (five, to be precise). At the bottom of each is a guardian, who can only appear there or in special circumstances (which you may be able to guess...) be summoned. The first specialist ability (and second as well for warriors) is still learned at the beginning, but the two others each become available on killing a dungeon guardian. It is possible to ignore the other dungeons and head straight for Angband, but theres a heavy price to pay.
- Word of Recall works differently. Read away from your home town, it still takes you back there. Read in your home town, you are given a list of up to four points to recall to. When you recall back to town, you get the choice of which of your recall points you wish to update.
- Anything from later than the First Age has been removed. No more Rings of Power, Grishnakh, Anduril, Saruman, Witch-King, etc. There are some new uniques, artifacts and ego-items (and some just renamed). There are also new item sets, and some reworked artifacts.
- There is no savefile compatibility with Oangband or Angband. Savefiles had to change at least to accommodate changes to data structures (particularly the player data), and the big changes to races meant that any translation would be rather artificial. Anyone with an Oangband savefile should keep playing it in Oangband; anyone with an Oangband compatible Angband savefile (version 2.9.1 or older) should be congratulated and, well, upgrade.
Enhancements:
- large reduction in wilderness monsters
- better handling of savefile paths
- increase in wilderness vaults
- some extra dungeon vaults
- several bugfixes

The statistic is base on fantastic 3.0. What i did is added a temperature sensor using the sensor module and change some colours and did some script editing.

Games::Tournament::RoundRobin 0.01

Games::Tournament::RoundRobin 0.01

Games::Tournament::RoundRobin is a Perl module for Round-Robin Tournament Schedule Pairings. more>>
Games::Tournament::RoundRobin is a Perl module for Round-Robin Tournament Schedule Pairings.

SYNOPSIS

$schedule = Games::Tournament::RoundRobin->new;

$pairings = $schedule->indexesInRound($roundm);
$round = $schedule->meeting($member1, [$member2, $member3]);
...

Every member of a league of 2n players can be paired with every other member in 2n-1 rounds.

If the league members are (Inf, 1 .. 2n-1), then in round i, i can be paired with Inf, and a can meet b, where a+b = 2i (mod 2n-1).

METHODS

new

Games::Tournament::RoundRobin->new( v => 5, league => [Ha, Be, He])
Games::Tournament::RoundRobin->new( league => {A => $a, B => $b, C => $c})
where v (optional) is the number of league members, and league (optional) is a list (or a hash) reference to the individual unique league members. One of v, or league (which takes precedence) is necessary, and if league is not given, the members are identified by the numbers 0 .. n-1.

If the league is a list (or hash) of n objects, they should be instances of a class that overloads both string quoting with a name method and arithmetical operations with an index method. The index method, called on the n objects in order, should return the n numbers, 0 .. n-1, and in that order if they are presented as an array. If they are presented as a hash, the hash is stored internally as an array and the keys are discarded.

If the league is a list of strings or numbers, indexes are constructed for the values on the basis of their positions in the list, and if a hash of strings or numbers, on the basis of the lexicographic order of their keys. Each string is expected to be unique.
If n is odd, an additional n-1, Bye or object (a Games::League::Member object, by default) member, depending on the type of the first member in the league, is added at the end and n is increased by 1.
indexesInRound

$schedule->indexesInRound($m)

Returns an array reference of the pairings in round $m. This method is useful if you are using numbers to represent your league members. It is not so useful if you are using strings or objects and you dont know their index numbers. Positions in the array represent members. The values represent their partners. Each member is thus represented twice.

roundsInTournament

$t = $schedule-> roundsInTournament;
$round1 = $t[0];
$inRound1FourthWith = $t->[0]->[3];
$inLastRoundLastWith = $$t[-1][-1];

Returns, as a reference to an array of arrays, the pairings in all rounds of the tournament. This method is useful if you are using the algorithm indexes.
partner

$schedule->partner($member, $m)

Returns the partner of $member in round $m.

membersInRound

$schedule->membersInRound($m)

Returns an hash reference of the pairings in round $m. This method is useful if you are using strings or objects. Keys in the hash represent league members. If the league members are objects, their names are used as keys. If 2 names are the same, the names are changed to $name.1, $name.2 etc. The values are their partners. Each player is thus represented twice.

memberSchedule

$schedule->memberSchedule($member)

Returns, as an array reference, the partners who $member is matched with in the order in which they meet, ie round by round.

meeting

$schedule->meeting($member,$partner)

Returns the rounds (TODO and the venue) at which $member meets $partner.

meetings

$schedule->meetings($member1,[$member2,$member3,...])

Returns, as an array reference, the rounds (TODO and the venue) at which $member1 meets $member2, $member3, ...

index

$schedule->index($member)

Returns $members index, the number which is used to pair it with other members. The index is the position, 0..n-1, of the $member in the league argument to the constructor (if an array) or the constructed array (if a hash.)
If $member is not a member of the array, or is itself an index, undef is returned.

member

$schedule->member($index)
$schedule->member($name)
$bye = $schedule->member( $schedule->size-1 )

Returns the member represented by $index, a number which ranges from 0..n-1, or by $name, a string. If there is no such member, undef is returned.

partners

$schedule->partners($index)
$schedule->partners($name)

Returns an array reference of all the partners of the $indexed or $named member, in index order, or the order in the league argument.

realPartners

$schedule->realPartners($index)

Returns an array reference of all the partners of the $indexed member, excluding the Bye member. Dont use this if you have no Bye member, as it just leaves off the last member.

size

$schedule->size

Returns the number of members in the round robin. Sometimes this may not be the same as the number of league members specified, because the array of league members takes precedence if supplied, and a bye is added if the number is odd.

rounds

$schedule->rounds

Returns the number of rounds in the round robin. This equals the number of league members, minus 1.

Games::Go::AGATourn 1.035

Games::Go::AGATourn 1.035

AGATourn is a Perl extensions to ease the pain of using AGA tournament data files. more>>
AGATourn is a Perl extensions to ease the pain of using AGA tournament data files.

SYNOPSIS

use Games::Go::AGATourn;
my $agaTourn = Games::Go::AGATourn->new (options);

An AGATourn object represents a round or several rounds of an American Go Association tournament. There are methods for parsing several type of AGA file format:

tdlist

The entire list of AGA members including playing strength, club affiliation, and some other stuff.

register.tde

The starting point for a tournament. All players in a tournament must be entered in the register.tde file.

round results: 1.tde, 2.tde, etc.

Game results for each round of the tournament.

A note on IDs: in general, hashes in an AGATourn object are keyed by the AGA ID. An AGA ID consists of a three letter country specifier (like USA or TMP for temporary IDs) concatenated to an integer. Here we specify the three letter country specifier as the country and the integer part as the agaNum. The country concatenated with the agaNum is the ID. My ID for example is USA2122. IDs should be normalized (capitalize the country part and remove preceding 0s from the agaNum part) with the NormalizeID method (below).

Note also that some programs may accept limited integers in the agaNum part of the ID. Accelerat, for example, seems to accept only up to 32K (someone used a signed short somewhere?)

Night Light IRC Proxy 1.2.42d.pre4

Night Light IRC Proxy 1.2.42d.pre4

Night Light IRC Proxy is a multi-user IRC (Internet Relay Chat) proxy written in C for UNIX compatible systems. more>>
Night Light IRC Proxy or ircproxy in short, is a multi-user IRC (Internet Relay Chat) proxy written in C for UNIX compatible systems.
If you do not know what IRC is, then IRC proxy probably isnt for you. A IRC proxy is a program which works like a client and server, you connect to it with your IRC client and it connects you to the chosen server.
This way you are protected behind the machine running the IRC proxy, connecting through a proxy will hide your machines IP-address from other users on IRC.
More simply explained, the IRC proxy will forward data sent by the IRC server to one or more IRC clients connected to the ircproxy, and forward data sent by the IRC clients to the IRC server.
The IRC proxy can also keep your connection to IRC alive even when you disconnect from the IRC proxy.
This IRC proxy is very flexible, it allows to configure multiple ports for listening, access by hostname or IP-address, multiple users and multiple connections and a optional ident server.
This is all done through the following configuration files:
- A listen configuration file (listen.conf) where you specify what hosts and ports users can connect to.
- A access configuration file (access.conf), where you specify which IP-addresses or hostnames users can connect to the ircproxy from.
- A optional user configuration file (user.conf) (with optional encrypted passwords), where you specify usernames/password allowed that IRC clients must send to get access.
- A connection configuration file (conn.conf) where the actual IRC connections to IRC servers is specified, each connection is owned by a specific user defined in user.conf.
The ircproxy can compile and run successfully on most UNIX systems. It has been successfully compiled and installed on FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD, Linux, Solaris, OSF1, HP-UX, AIX and Windows (Cygwin).
What exactly can ircproxy do?
Share your internet connection.
If you dont have direct access to the internet but another machine (router or server) on the network has internet access. You can share the internet connection using a this ircproxy for IRC access. Even your already using NAT, SOCKS or a forwarding proxy, ircproxy is probably preffered because it will allow you to have ident on IRC, and different ident can be replied for different users.
Get your own hostname from a shell ISP or hide your host behind a server.
If your internet service provider does not allow you to have a static IP with your own hostname, or you simply want to hide your real host. You can buy shell access from a ISP and eventually buy your own IP-address from the ISP to use with ircproxy.
Keep your IRC connection alive even when you disconnect with your IRC client.
If you have a dial up connection but want your client connected to IRC 24/7, you can install ircproxy on a server. This ircproxy will keep the IRC connection alive after you disconnect from the ircproxy with your IRC client.
Restrict data sent to the IRC server to prevent flooding the IRC server.
Solve problems getting disconnected with "Excess Flood", possible cause for this is that someone is flooding you with CTCPs or similar. This ircproxy will restrict you from sending data faster to the IRC server then the IRC server will allow. It will simply queue the data you send and keep it until the IRC server is ready to take more data without disconnecting you. However the queue is also restricted, there is a max sendQ, if it is reached your IRC client will be disconnected but the connection to the IRC server still stay alive.
One connection to IRC from more then one machine at the same time.
With ircproxy you can be connected to IRC from two or more machines at the same time without more then one connection to the IRC server. This ircproxy will allow you to resume a IRC server connection from more then one machine at the same time.

JTourney 1.0

JTourney 1.0

JTourney is a Java based tool to support tournament directors conducting small to medium scale round based tournaments. more>>
JTourney is a Java based tool to support tournament directors conducting small to medium scale round based tournaments for multiplayer games.
JTourney tries to encaspulate over 10 years of experience with various tournament formats for different games. Those tournaments were conducted either manually or with the help (of many kind people and) a predecessor programm, which finally became too old and too small.
The need for JTourney arose since the tournaments conducted were rather flexibile: Players could hop on and hop off between rounds, the games played might allow variable number of players. Beside this flexibility JTourney could of course be used to support more rigid tournament formats, but this is not its focus.
Main features:
- Keeping player lists.
- Playcing players on tables for next round by variuos strategies.
- Generate score sheets for tables.
- Keeping track of game scores
- Calculating player scores, tiebreakers and rankings
How it works?
JTourney is a very simple design. It merely parses text files into its memory and composes new ones on design. While parsing its internal datafiles it also feeds this internal information to the RenderMode, therefore it provides you with more beautiful information than just the raw internal text files.
Note the system never stores things like standings or total scores of players internally. It turned out, that parsing input is very fast and never is a real problem for (say) 100 participants and 12 rounds (this is not a limit, it can most likely handle much more participants and more rounds) on a recent PC.
While this architecture is from the computer stone age it is flexible and powerful. Maybe a bit volatile, but after all it is entirely appropriate to put whatever kind of GUI on top if necessary!

Quiet Console Town project is a console RPG city simulator.

Console RPGs have you visiting towns all the time, but Quiet Console Town puts you in the place of the mayor of a budding new city. Build shops, attract adventurers, hope villains overlook you: all the aspects of a console RPG town are yours.

Welcome to your everyday ordinary quiet console town. By the looks of your deceased friend there, youll probably want to stay a night at the Inn. Yes, those puncture wounds and missing organs certainly seem fatal, but all he needs is a good nights sleep and then (somehow) hell be good as new. In the meantime, might I direct you to our armor shop?

A bit of plate inbetween you and the monster might help you stay healthy! I see your thief seems anxious - theres some shady characters near the magic shop she might want to meet up with. Finally, once youre all done, perhaps you could look into the matter of our haunted mine...?

Quiet Console Town is a turn-based console RPG city simulator. You, as mayor, build the kind of RPG town youve always wanted heroes to visit. Buildings range from the simple Inn to the intricate dungeons beneath your mighty Citadel.

People can be as good as the most pious do-gooder, or evil as the most black-hearted villain. Make your city a bulwark against the forces of darkness, or a haven to shady characters round the world!

Slingshot is a two dimensional, turn based simulation-strategy game. more>>
Slingshot is a two dimensional, turn based simulation-strategy game set in the gravity fields of several planets. It is a highly addictive game, and never the same from round to round due to its randomly generated playing fields.

It is a deceptively simple game, the goal is to shoot the other spacecraft through the field of planets, but their gravity makes it tricky. The effects of the gravity mean that although its easy to learn how to play, and to enjoy playing, it could take a lifetime to thoroughly master.

In order to hit your opponent, you can rotate you ship to aim in any direction, and you can change the power with which your projectile is launched - the initial speed at which it flies.

This project is free software as defined by the Free Software Foundation, it is released under the GNU General Public License (GPL). This means you are free to download, copy, modify, redistribute, disassemble, analyse or sell Slingshot under the terms of the aforementioned license. Enjoy!
