Jabberlang is a client XMPP/Jabber library for Erlang to implement scalable fault-tolerant XMPP/Jabber agents. more>>
Jabberlang is a client XMPP and Jabber library for Erlang to implement scalable fault-tolerant XMPP/Jabber agents.
The first version has been presented during Erlang User Conference (EUC 2004). For now, it still only supports a minimal subset of the Jabber/XMPP protocol but many changes are planned.
Enhancements:
- This version fixes several problems and improves the behavior of Jabberlang.
- The connection now fails when the expat library fails to load.
- A bug has been fixed regarding the name of the host used in the library, so the "to" attribute in the stream is now set correctly.

Lutz provides a fast and small port scanner with stealth scanning and OS detection.
Lutz is a fast and small stealth port scanner, similar to nmap. It has the most popular scanning options (SYN, FIN, XMAS Scan, PROTO Scan, etc.) and simple OS detection.
It supports some very beta idle scanning and several other options. It can also scan subnets, or scan a list of hosts specified in a file.
Enhancements:
- FIxed a Bug in the get_host_list() function. You got an segmentation fault when not specifying ports on the command line. Now you wont :)

yagg::Tutorial 1.4001
yagg::Tutorial is a Perl module that contains a tutorial for yagg. more>>
yagg::Tutorial is a Perl module that contains a tutorial for yagg.
SYNOPSIS
# To use the generator
./yagg -m nonterminals.yg terminals.lg
./output/progs/generate 5
This tutorial will show you how to use yagg, by way of two examples. In the first example, we create a simple logical expression generator from scratch. In the second example, we create a more sophisticated logical expression generator from existing parser/lexer input files, such as those used by YACC/Bison and LEX/FLEX. These examples, plus another more sophisticated fault tree generator are included with the distribution in the examples/ directory.
It is assumed that the reader knows a little about formal grammars. Ideally, the reader would have some experience writing grammars for input to parser generators like YACC and Bison.

Mila NetWhistler 2.10
Netwhistler auto-detects networks and presents them on graphical maps, which reflect up-to-the-minute device and host status. more>>
NetWhistler 2.6 is a easy to use Network monitoring software that offers integrated fault and performance management functionality.
Mila NetWhistler project auto-detects networks and presents them on graphical maps, which reflect up-to-the-minute device and host status. It includes powerful diagnostic tools including ping, main services (ftp, ssh, smtp, pop3, http) monitoring, portscan, email alerts, network discovery, SNMP tools (MIB browser and Trap Console for incoming SNMP traps from any SNMP-enabled device in the network ).
NetWhistler 2.6 can automatically scan a network in search of non-SNMP and SNMP-enabled devices that you want to manage in your network. Scanning parameters ( network address, network mask, SNMP community ) are fully configurable.
Once the discovery operation has been completed, the program displays a map of all devices along with basic information about them such as address, DNS name, MAC address and description. You can find or delete a node on the map, or change node properties. The map can be stored in a local file or in a MySQL database.
Enhancements:
- New features include a Web console and the ability to import and export the database.
- The firewall builder was removed.
- Custom ping, mac-detect, and snmp-results scripts were added.
- Custom node types were added.
- Some bugfixes were made.

UMLMON 1.0.3
UMLMON is a complete run time environment for User Mode Linux. more>>
UMLMON is a complete run time environment for User Mode Linux. There is a separate monitor daemon for every VM.
UMLMON project creates the run time environment and starts the VM by executing the UML kernel. The daemon also determines the arguments that are passed to the UML kernel, and includes special support to set up arguments for memory size, virtual disks, virtual network interfaces, and console channels in a convenient way.
UMLMON also includes routines to do certain administration tasks like the creation of disks.
The team UMLMON + UML can be applied in the following areas:
- Server consolidation: Improve the utilization of server hardware, and ease the operation of servers.
- Virtual security zones: Instead of building demilitarized zones (DMZ) with real hardware, it is a cost-effective alternative to set up purely virtual DMZs on a single host.
- Virtual hosting: A cheap version of server hosting is virtual hosting; instead of leasing real computers to customers, virtual machines are used.
- Laboratory nets: By using virtual machines it is possible to build cheap laboratory nets, e.g. to test software in real network environments.
- Training environments: One can use virtual machines for Linux trainings where participants can get true administrators priviledges without any risks.
Enhancements:
- This release no longer call the problematic glibc function getgrouplist, which is often broken (symptom: segmentation fault immediately after starting umlmon).

Particle Simulation 0.9.1
Particle Simulation is a simulation of spraying up to 60k particles in realtime. more>>
Particle Simulation project is a simulation of spraying up to 60k particles in realtime.
Particle Simulation is a playful simulation game which allows you to spray particles into the "air". The number of simulated particles is only limited by the speed of your computer.
The particles dont interact with each other, but will bounce back from the ground and accelerate depending on a gravity constant.
This constant can be changed (along with a number of other parameters) in the source code or via commandline parameters.
Enhancements:
- Colors were adjusted and a new animation mode was introduced.
- Segmentation fault was fixed.

if_rate measures and prints some statistics about the rate of traffic through network interfaces (like iptraf).
This is a simple program who read from /proc/net/dev and write some real-time statistics about the trafic on interfaces. You can use it free (and without waranties), i hope you will find it usefull and you will use it only for moral .
These are the known bugs:
- some interface drivers have bugs in the update of the counter, not my fault...
- some drivers have time counters updated at more than 1 second interval, to have exact averages you must set an interval much bigger than this interval (example: "./if_rate 10")
Enhancements:
- the rate is more accured, now I use gettimeofday() for exact time measuring.
- more space for gigabit counters
- accept argument - number of seconds between counters is settable

WaveSelect 0.1.2
WaveSelect it makes it a snap to discover local wlans, and connect to them. more>>
Waveselect was first thought of as a replica of the Windows XP wlan-connection tool. The project makes it a snap to discover local wlans, and connect to them.
It depends on QT-3.x (3.3.3 was used to develop it), and wireless-tools (iwlist, iwconfig). It should work with every card that works with wireless-tool. Use of the great KNemo-tool: ( HTTP://kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=12956 ) as a companion is recommended, for extra comfort.
Future releases of waveselect will support more features, as long as it can be implemented while still keeping a simple and easy GUI.
This tool must be run as root, unless your user have access to change driver-parameters with iwconfig, and start dhcpcd.
Main features:
- Profile-creation for often used APs (home/work/school/etc)
- Automatically roaming between APs defined by a profile
- Integration with kismet/gpsd/mysql, for showing ESSIDs kismet have previously decloaked.
- Support alternative dhcpd-clients other than dhcpcd
- Support for non-dhpcd networks. Letting the user specify ip, gateway, dns, proxy, etc. manually.
- Configure-dialog for specifying paths etc.
- KDE integration (KDE-classes, KDE-systray)
Enhancements:
- GUI improvements. Options are no longer available if no network is selected. Also beautify the "scan-results" if no networks are found.
- Do an "ifconfig up" on the selected device before scanning.
- (some?) cards using the madwifi-driver does not return scan-data unless this is done (reported by TMS)
- Instead of killing all dhcpcd instances before associating, check if the /var/run/dhcpcd-.pid exists. If it does, get the pid of the cards current dhcpcd-process from this file, and kill only this process. If file does not exist, assume dhcpcd is not running for the card. (reported by TMS)
- This time, it handles a notebook with several wlan-cards better.
- In fact, it handles them at all.
- Improved parsing once again to make it even more fault-tolerant.
- Dont know about any way to segfault it now. But if you find one, be sure to mail me and let me know.
- Manage encryption-settings better. It will now manage to set four different encryption keys. You select which one should be the transmitted key, by selecting the key you want to be active in the "key index" combo-box before pressing associate.
- The "security-mode" option was actually connected to code this time, so it will now have effect.

strongSwan 4.1.5
strongSwan is an OpenSource IPsec implementation for the Linux operating system. more>>
strongSwan is an OpenSource IPsec implementation for the Linux operating system. strongSwan is an OpenSource IPsec implementation for the Linux operating system.
In order to have a stable IPsec platform to base our future extensions of the X.509 capability on, we decided to lauch the strongSwan project.
Main features:
- runs both on Linux 2.4 (KLIPS) and Linux 2.6 (native IPsec) kernels
- strong 3DES, AES, Serpent, Twofish, or Blowfish encryption
- Authentication based on X.509 certificates or preshared keys
- Powerful IPsec policies based on wildcards or intermediate CAs
- Retrieval and local caching of Certificate Revocation Lists via HTTP or LDAP
- Full support of the Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP, RCF 2560).
- Optional storage of RSA private keys on smartcards or USB crypto tokens
- Smartcard access via standardized PKCS #11 interface
- PKCS #11 proxy function offering RSA decryption services via whack
- NAT-Traversal (RFC 3947) and support of Virtual IPs and IKE Mode Config
- CA management (OCSP and CRL URIs, default LDAP server)
- Dead Peer Detection (DPD, RFC 3706)
- Group policies based on X.509 attribute certificates ( RFC 3281)
- Generation of default self-signed certificates during strongSwan setup
Enhancements:
- Source routes installed by the keying daemons are now in a separate routing table with ID 100 in order to avoid conflicts with the main table.
- Route lookup for IKEv2 traffic is done in userspace to ignore routes installed for IPsec, as IKE traffic shouldnt get encapsulated.
- The ipsec starter has become more tolerant to dynamic DNS lookup failures by keeping the last valid IP address.
