Q DVD-Authors goal is to provide a complete DVDAuthoring solution for Linux with the emphasis of ease of use and a complete set of functionality.
Main features:
- You can generate the main menu.

- You can scale, color, stretch, twist and shout each object
- You can give each menu multiple sound tracks (not yet perfect though).
- You can import your own layers for Highlighted and for Selected Mask and combine it with the created objects

WMTosh is an ACPI monitoring applet, targeted at toshiba laptops. It can show cpuspeed, temperature, battery level, fan function.

WMTosh also allows a limited control of those functions, plus lcd brightnes. As for now limited to linux.

I wrote this small dockapp in 2003, when i got my hands on the Toshiba Satellite Pro 6100, on which i was and am using ACPI. Back then there was almost no ACPI-aware DockApp. This one is based on WMiFS project, big thanks go to its authors. The first version supported ACPI performance and battery objects, as well as toshiba fan and toshiba brightness setting.

Open Invaders is a fully-GPL interpretation of Taitos Space Invaders. While it is not a perfect clone, the aim of the project is to provide a feature rich clone of the famous arcade game. It features (so far) 14 levels with unique backdrops and a full soundtrack.

Blu-ray video authoring tools package is a free open source suite of Blu-ray (BD-R and BD-RE) authoring tools that allow you to produce Blu-ray video discs.

mkudfiso (Blu-ray authoring tool set), a utility to create ISO images containing
a pure UDF filesystem, intended primarily for Blu-ray authoring but can be used
for any purpose (including CD-R and DVD-R). This tool can be used to author individual files larger than 4GB, which is a requirement for Blu-ray and other high-definition formats.

THIS TOOL DOES NOT GENERATE ISO 9660 STRUCTURES. Use "mkisofs" if you want ISO 9660, Joliet, Rock Ridge, etc. in the structure. This is a pure UDF generator.

Math::Pari is a Perl interface to PARI.

This package is a Perl interface to famous library PARI for numerical/scientific/number-theoretic calculations. It allows use of most PARI functions as Perl functions, and (almost) seamless merging of PARI and Perl data. In what follows we suppose prior knowledge of what PARI is (see ftp://megrez.math.u-bordeaux.fr/pub/pari, or Math::libPARI).

SmoothSlideSaver is a KDE screensaver which shows images from a directory as an OpenGL slideshow. SmoothSlideSaver screensaver uses the famous Ken Burns effect and smoothly fades from one image to the next.

You dont need to worry about complicated configuration options, everything should run smoothly out of the box. Just select a directory with some nice pictures (e.g., your digital photo collection) and let the show begin.

There are prebuilt packages for Debian and Ubuntu (i386 architecture, only). You can either download them via the links below, or more conveniently, apt-get them:

Put one of the following lines into your /etc/apt/sources.list file:

If you have another Debian based distribution and/or architecture (or if the unstable packages cant be installed), you can easily build your own package. Add the following line to /etc/apt/sources.list:

Then execute the following commands:

#> mkdir smoothslidesaver
#> cd smoothslidesaver

If you have another distribution installed on your computer, you will have to do it the hard way, sorry :-/ Download the source tarball from the link below, untar it and then execute the following steps in the source directory:

MRTG::Parse is a Perl extension for parsing and utilizing the logfiles generated by the famous MRTG Tool.

This perl extension enables its users to parse and utilize the logfiles that are generated by the famous MRTG (Multi Router Traffic Grapher) tool.

mrtg_parse() takes three argument:

1st: filename of the mrtg logfile
2nd: time period to genereate the output for
valid values are:
- individual time periods like: 20040821-20050130 (ISO 8601)
- static values: day, month, year
3rd: the desired unit (optional)
valid values are:
- B, KB, MB, GB, TB
- if missing mrtg_parse will chose an adequate one for you
mrtg_parse() returns three values:

1st: Incoming traffic
2nd: Outgoing traffic
3rd: Sum of incoming and outgoing
