Me TV is a digital television viewer for GNOME.
The software was developed for the modern digital lounge room with a PC for a media centre that is capable of normal PC tasks (web surfing, word processing and watching TV). It is not designed to be a full-blown media centre such as MythTV but will integrate well with the existing GNOME desktop. If you think that a remote is something that belongs in a museum then Me TV is probably for you.
It currently supports only DVB-T but Im willing to add support for other DVB types because it seems straight forward. It just needs to be tested.

Media Listings project aims to provide a comfortable way to see the TV listings of supported TV channels. More exactly, it displays defined number of programs, which are yet to come, based on current date and time.

Clicking one of the displayed programs will start your default browser and navigate to appropriate additional info page of the program.

Keen little rabbit ears is a simple ear training program for Linux and Windows. It is free of charge. You can exercise the recogniton of intervalls, chords, scales and chord progressions.
Keen little rabbit ears requires the installation of Perl (Version 5), Perl/Tk, Perl::MIDI and an extermal MIDI player, like timidity (Verion 0.2i). Keen little rabbit ears is written in perl, uses Perl/Tk for the user interface, Perl::MIDI to write MIDI files and timidity to play MIDI files.
This is an early release, which means that there is a number of features which are not implemented. But keen little rabbit ears works pretty fine on my Pentium 90 using Suse Linux (Version 6.1) and under Window 95 too.
I strongly recommend everyone to read a good book on this. There are several ways to train. In general you do it like this. In the first level only select 2 or 3 items you already know or which are
the most common. In the next level you proceed and add the next 2 common items.
Below is are two lists, which can be used as guideline. But it is usually better to ask your teacher which exercises should you train.

mop(e) snake is a classic snake game which pits you against all the pain in the world. mop(e)snake project runs on Linux, Windows, and GP2X.
You can try its innovative one-finger control method or stick with a more traditional style of play.

Press any key to start, and use the arrow keys to control your snake. Eat the pain.
Alternatively, you can use the good old fashioned O, P, Q, A key layout you remember from your ZX Spectrum days. You can also redefine the keys by modifying the config file in ~/.mopesnake/config. Figuring out the format of that file is left as an exercise for the reader.
Press ESCAPE on the title screen to enter the menu, which allows you to change the skill level (Easy, Medium or Hard) and the game mode (Normal or One-button). Press ESCAPE during the game to pause or quit.
In one-button mode, press any key to start, and any key to turn in the direction in which the arrow is pointing. Its tricky at first, but try to get into the rhythm. Its quite fun.
Enhancements:

- The ability to turn music and sound effects on and off has been added.

ISIC is a suite of utilities to exercise the stability of an IP Stack and its component stacks (TCP, UDP, ICMP et. al.). It generates piles of pseudo random packets of the target protocol.

The packets be given tendancies to conform to. Ie 50% of the packets generated can have IP Options. 25% of the packets can be IP fragments... But the percentages are arbitrary and most of the packet fields have a configurable tendancy.

The packets are then sent against the target machine to either penetrate its firewall rules or find bugs in the IP stack.

It also contains a utility generate raw ether frames to examine hardware implementations.

Other novel uses people have found for ISIC include IDS testing, stack fingerprinting, breaking sniffers and barraging the IRC kiddie.

PolarViewer is a viewer application for exercise files recorded with Polar heartrate monitors. PolarViewer project displays all the recorded exercise data (except power) and creates diagrams.

If you want to organize your exercises and create statistics you should use the SportsTracker application together with PolarViewer.

Its also possible to view HRM exercise files (recorded with the Polar Software for Windows) with PolarViewer.

The application itself is not able to receive the exercise files from the Polar device and store it on the computer. Theres an excellent tool called s710 (written by Dave Bailey) which does this job.
