ABSTRACT

This is a Persistent class that uses a MySQL database table to store and retrieve objects. This class can be instantiated directly or subclassed. The methods described below are unique to this class, and all other methods that are provided by this class are documented in the Persistent documentation. The Persistent documentation has a very thorough introduction to using the Persistent framework of classes.

Mysql Data Manager (shortly MDM) is multifunctional and multiplatform web based mysql administration tool and data editor. Mysql Data Manager is a CGI script written in Perl. It uses web browser based GUI, which provides a complete set of high-level and low-level capabilities.
High-level functions allow to accomplish a lot with a single mouse click while low-level functions let you do precisely what you want. Using this tool you get a wide range of solutions to support any Mysql web application.
You log into Mysql server via transparent interface of MDM with no need to store your password into config file. You use all privileges granted to you on Mysql server to manage your databases and accounts. All your mouseclicks are being transmitted to mysql server transparently as a command or a chain of predefined commands.
Almost all messages you may receive from MDM interface are generated natively by mysql server and transparently transferred by MDM to web browser for your convenience.

Skeleton Engine for MySQL is a full framework to plug in a new storage engine. Comes with prebuild autoconf files, and a full framework to plug in your own design.

To install, grab a copy of the mysql source code and run this:
./configure --with-mysql=/home/brian/mysql-5.1/ --libdir=/usr/local/lib/mysql/

You will probably need to edit the Makefile.am in the src/ tree if you want to build on anything other then Linux (and the Makefile assumes that the server was not compiled for debug).

SQLBuster project is a simple MySQL benchmarking utility that runs a query a specified number of times over a given number of threads and displays how long it took.
Enhancements:
- An option to report various statistics to a results file has been added.
- This release provides more end of run statistics, such as CPU percentage, I/O wait, and disk reads/writes.

MySQL table patcher is a patch that reads table creation file (tables.sql) and compares it to what mysqldump gives. It creates SQL clauses to update the database to match the creation file.
