Esteban is a chatbot developed with AIML. The goal of this project is to provide a free chatbot to help students of Spanish as a foreign language to learn Spanish.

Esteban is also meant to introduce the concept of free software to teachers who dont have programming skills.

Wmbuttons is simple little application that I wrote (and am in the process of updating). wmbutton is specifically designed to be docked in Windowmaker, or Swallowed by wharf in Afterstep. If youre not familiar with these windowmanagers, check them out in the links section. Of course, it should work in just about any window manager.
Wmbutton is a 64x64 pixel application that displays nine buttons. Each of these buttons can be configured via a configuration file to run just about any application youd like to. Basically, if you can type it in a shell command, wmbutton can run it. The graphics of in each button may, of course, be changed as well.
USAGE:

Left mouse button:
Selects the application to launch, numbered 1 through 9
Middle mouse button: (unless disabled (-m))
Selects the application to launch, numbered 11 through 19
Right mouse button:
Selects the application to launch, numbered 21 through 29

Elidune project is a library management software.
Built as a client/server application, using the XML-RPC protocol, it has been developed to be easy to use, yet powerful and able to be easily extended.
It supports cataloguing, customisable search, user management, and document circulation.
Enhancements:

YaFM is a web-based file manager written in PHP and licensed under the GPL.
It allows you to upload, download, view, edit, copy, move/rename, change permissions and owner group of a single file or a group of files which reside on a unix filesystem local to the script.
It does not require MySQL (although you can easily implement a SQL-based authenticationscheme if you need one).
It should be relatively easy to change the look and feel of YaFM since Ive tried to keep PHP code and HTML separate (the current look and feel is based on Adam Suttons phpFtp)
Installation:
Note: most of these instructions apply to RedHat-like systems. In RedHat the default webroot for apache is /var/www/html and CGI programs are placed into /var/www/cgi-bin and this layout is respected in the .tar.gz archives and RPMs youve downloaded from
YaFMs website.
Also the assumed location of your php CGI executable is /usr/bin/php and the PHP configuration file is assumed to be in /etc/php.ini If your installation differs or you want to install YaFM to another location please extract the archives manually, also you may have to modify the first line of the yafm.phps script!
Quick instructions:
If youve got the .tar.gz package install it as follows:
# tar --directory=/ -xvzf /path/to/yafm-release.tar.gz
If youve got the .tar.bz2 package install it as follows:
# bzcat /path/to/yafm-release.tar.bz2 | tar --directory=/ -xv
If youve got the RPM, install it as follows:
# rpm -Uvh /path/to/fileman-release.rpm
(note: replace yafm-release with the respective release number, e.g. yafm-1.0.5)
Now you should have a working YaFM installation, you can access it at
http://your-host-name/cgi-bin/yafm.phps
WARNING: by default two accounts are created user1 with password1 and
user2 with password2. Please edit the login.inc file to change accounts
Enhancements:
This is a new feature and bugfix release of YaFM but there may still be a few gotchas.

acidlaunch is a light weight GTK based launch bar.

It is designed to be small and light, with a simple XML based configuration format. Its also designed to work well with blackbox.

jMSN is an MSN client written in Perl for the Linux console.

It uses a BitchX-like interface, featuring multiple windows.

It is written in Perl, and is not based on any existing MSN code.

XCurs is a program used for editing XCursor formatted XFree86 mouse cursors. This type of format became available as a result of Keith Packards work on XFree86 v4.3.
Whats So Important about xcursor?
xcursor contains a) Alpha Info, b) ~16 million colors c) animation of cursor, none of which were available in prior cursor incarnation (bitmap cursor format, which had transparency, but not colored one and only 2 colors which were not quite easily changeable.)
