Evolution Exchange 2.27.3

Evolution Exchange 2.27.3

Evolution Exchange is the Ximian Connector for Microsoft Exchange. more>>
Evolution Exchange 2.27.3 is professionally designed as the Ximian Connector for Microsoft Exchange, which adds support for Microsoft Exchange 2000 and 2003 to Evolution. Evolution provides integrated mail, addressbook and calendaring functionality to users of the GNOME desktop.

Installation:

  1. cd to the directory containing the packages source code and type `./configure to configure the package for your system. If youre using `csh on an old version of System V, you might need to type `sh ./configure instead to prevent `csh from trying to execute `configure itself. Running `configure takes awhile. While running, it prints some messages telling which features it is checking for.
  2. Type `make to compile the package.
  3. Optionally, type `make check to run any self-tests that come with the package.
  4. Type `make install to install the programs and any data files and documentation.
  5. You can remove the program binaries and object files from the source code directory by typing `make clean. To also remove the files that `configure created (so you can compile the package for a different kind of computer), type `make distclean. There is also a `make maintainer-clean target, but that is intended mainly for the packages developers. If you use it, you may have to get all sorts of other programs in order to regenerate files that came with the distribution.

Evolution Jescs 2.9.1

Evolution Jescs 2.9.1

Evolution Jescs is the Evolution Connector for Sun Java Enterprise System Calendar Server (SJESCS). more>>
Evolution Jescs is the Evolution Connector for Sun Java Enterprise System Calendar Server (SJESCS).
This connector supports the WCAP (Web Calendar Access Protocol) 2.0, 3.0, 3.1.
How to setup a JESCS account?
Now it is integrated into "Mail Accounts" under menu "Edit-->Preferences". Click "Add" button to bring up the account setup widzard. In "Identity" page, please input your Full Name and Email Address. In "Receiving Email" page, choose "Sun Calendar WCAP" as the Server Type. Input Host and Username here.
If your server listens to another port instead of the default one (80 for http, 143 for https), please input Host in the "Host:Port" format, such as "calendar.sun.net:8080". For "Use Secure Connection", please choose "Never" for http and "Always" for https.
In "Receiving Options" page, if you want to poll the server for new events and tasks at a different interval than the default 30 minutes, please check the checkbox and choose a interval. Please note that a small interval setting will impact the performance of the connector. If you are sure you are the only one accessing your calendar, you can set the interval to a very large number.
The "Sending Email" page actually is useless for the connector. You can just input anything here so that you can go forward.
In "Account Management" page, please enter your account name here. Then you can finish your JESCS account setting.
Enhancements:
- configure.in: Bump to 2.9.1
- storage/sunone-folder-tree.c: Fix a bug which will cause evolution-jescs to crash when connecting to the calendar server for the first time.

evolution-rss 0.0.4

evolution-rss 0.0.4

evolution-rss is a evolution RSS reader plugin. more>>
evolution-rss is a evolution RSS reader plugin.

This plugin adds RSS Feeds support for evolution mail. RSS support was built upon the somewhat existing RSS support in evolution-1.4 branch.

The motivation behind this was to have RSS in same place as mails, at this moment I do not see the point having a separate RSS reader since a RSS Article is like an email message. Probably thats the same reason for NNTP support in evolution.

At this time feeds Artiles are only displayed as summary (with html)

Evolution Sharp 0.13.2

Evolution# is a .NET language binding for various Ximian Evolution libraries. more>>
Evolution# is a .NET language binding for various Ximian Evolution libraries.

Building & Installing Evolution#:

The Linux build is the traditional:

./configure
make
make install

You may want to consider using configures prefix option to install Evolution# using the same prefix as Mono. That way all of your .NET assemblies get placed in the same place, and you dont need to do any extra "configuring" to make it so mono (and mint) can find your assemblies. In other words, doing something like:

./configure --prefix=/your/mono/prefix
make
make install

If you are compiling from CVS, you will need libtool and the auto* tools and will need to replace the configure above with autogen.sh.

evonotify 0.2.4

evonotify 0.2.4

evonotify is a little gtk-perl script to add panel-mail-notification. more>>
evonotify is a little gtk-perl script to add panel-mail-notification to evolution using a filter evonotify requires the perl modules "Gnome2", "Gnome2::Wnck" and "Gtk2::TrayIcon" to run.

In debian and ubuntu these are provided by libgnome2-perl, libgnome2-wnck-perl and libgtk2-trayicon-perl.

If new mail arrives evonotify is run by a evolution filter (see screenshot at bottom). evonotify then shows a little flashing letter in the notification area. Clicking the icon brings up evolution (either starts it or uniconifys the running evo window) and closes itself. Right clicking opens a context menu which offers configuration.

Sound and Tooltip text are customizable by a config interface.

To install evonotify download and unpack the tgz file, cd to the evonotify dir and run ./setup. The setup script will copy the files to the appropriate places and set up the evolution filter for you.

This will execute evonotify everytime new mail arrives. To avoid confusion the internal notification of evolution should be disabled (using the mail preferences).

Evolusync 1.1.2

Evolusync 1.1.2

Evolusync synchronizes Evolution addressbook with a mobile IR or BlueTooth mobile device. more>>
Evolusync synchronizes Evolution addressbook with a mobile IR or BlueTooth mobile device. Evolusync supports OBEX and GSM AT over Ircomm (Irda).
The project was designed to work with a NOKIA phone but should support many other mobile devices and can be easily extended.
Evolusyncs main purpose is to synchronise your Evolution addressbook with your IR or BlueTooth mobile device.
Evolusync may help you retrieve or update your mobile device phone book from sources other than Evolution.
Evolusyncs current version is 1.1 and runs on Evolution 1.4.
Evolusync is basically made of two parts:
- a set of functions to read and update Evolutions addressbook;
- a set of functions to read and update the phone book of mobile IR and BlueTooth devices.
This second set currently supports the OBEX over IR and BlueTooth and GSM AT over IRComm protocols.
Always try to use OBEX if you can (see devices), it should provide richer phone book data support. Check your device documentation or try irdadump with IR to discover what your device can do (see Irda below). The dump should show IrOBEX in the list of device capabilities.
Be safe: always try to backup your mobile phone data first:
IR:
evolusync -readDevice -type NOKIAOBEXIR -v
BlueTooth:
evolusync -readDevice -type NOKIAOBEXBT -v -bdaddr XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX -btchannel 4
NOKIAOBEXIR or NOKIAOBEXBT may not be appropriate for you, but if everything works fine, your mobile addresbook should be available in VCard format in /tmp/DevicePhoneBook.vcf.
