Penrose project is a virtual directory server. A Virtual Directory technology is a fairly new approach for centralizing and reducing the amount of directories needed without the problems of physical data migration.
Instead of creating new identity repositories, virtual directory handles identity queries on a case-by-case basis, drawing the required, authorized data (and only the required data) in real time from its native repositories around a network and presenting it to an enterprise application as needed.
Virtual Directory eases deployments of Identity management solution, reduces political fights over data ownership and changes how corporate data is being managed.

CentOS is an Enterprise-class Linux Distribution derived from sources freely provided to the public by a prominent North American Enterprise Linux vendor.
CentOS conforms fully with the upstream vendors redistribution policy and aims to be 100% binary compatible. (CentOS mainly changes packages to remove upstream vendor branding and artwork.) CentOS is free, however, we ask for a small contribution. CentOS is a project of the cAos Foundation.

Babel Enterprise is an audit tool, focused on evaluating Operating System base security. Babel Enterprise evaluate the security level, or hardening, from a wide range of Operating Systems. Babel Enterprise run several audit probes and checks to give a photograph of the current system security status. Babel Enterprise also gives a Security Indicator of whole system.

Babel Enterprise design is made to manage system security in a big and complex enviroment with many different kind of Operating Systems, versions, technology and configurations. This complexity include to manage different human teams with different abilities and responsabilities. Babel Enterprise its a multiuser, distributed management auditing system for the major Operating Systems of the real world. Babel Enterprise also allows to be installed which redundant components in all of its components.

Each time you run a new audit policy, you will be able to see and evaluate objectively each important change in your systems: modifications on existing elements, new or erased elements, so that it will know if the security of that system its going to get better or its going to get worse and, very important, what its happenning.

Babel Enterprise agents has versions to run in the last versions of Microsoft™, like Windows 2003, Windows XP, and the more common Unix systems, like Solaris™ 9, AIX™ 5.1, SUSE GNU/Linux 9 ES and Debian/Ubuntu Dapper, but Babel Enterprise agents could be very easily adapted for another versions and other similar systems, like BSD systems or HPUX™).

Babel Enterprise is Free Software. It has a public source repository (Subversion). All documentation has been generated using Free Standards, like DocBook SGML, and edited using Free Software (eMacs, OpenJade). WEB page for the project is http://babel.sourceforge.net. DSSH was written as a direct replacement for OpenSSH client for our use. The project adds SSH over SSH tuneling capabilities (for example to log in to network which is hidden by firewall), scripting support (using Groovy), advanced agent (which allows storing of passwords) and "su -" interactive logging for machines, which have disabled direct root login.

All of this was done to enable automated scripting and logging to lots of machines based on few simple rules.

It uses Ganymed SSH library (slightly patched). I tried to contribute my changes back to Ganymed-SSH authors and if I succeed, I will probably try to stick with official Ganymed-SSH distribution.

Black Orion Network is an update and system management platform for among others Black Orions redhat-compatible Enterprise Linux Distributions. Black Orion Enterprise Linux software distributions are offered to you by the open source community as free software.

A program is free software if users are free to redistribute copies, either with or without modifications, either gratis or charging a fee for distribution, to anyone anywhere. Being free to do these things means (among other things) that you do not have to ask or pay for permission. How It Works:

1. Obtain Black Orion Enterprise Linux

Obtain one of Black Orions redhat-compatible Enterprise Linux Distributions from the downloads section.

2. Burn cd images

Burn the downloaded iso images on to a cd.

3. Register yourself as a Black Orion Network Member

Register yourself as a member in the Black Orion Network section.

4. Install Black Orion on a computer

Read the manuals for the various installation options. The system can also be installed as a rhel4 virtual machine.

5. Connect your system to the Black Orion Network

Connect your system to the Black Orion Network with the up2date client installed on your system. You can find up2date by right-clicking the Black Orion Network Alert Icon on your desktop. Connect your system with your member name and password (see 3).

Darwin Calendar Server provides a CalDAV server.

The Darwin Calendar Server is a standards-compliant server that allows multiple users to collaboratively share calendaring information. It provides a shared location on the network to store schedules, and allows users to send each other and manage invitations.

In order to provide interoperability with multiple calendaring clients, the server implements the CalDAV protocol, which is an extension of WebDAV, which is in turn an extension of HTTP.

RIPE Whois Server provides support for domain records and lookups.

This is a whois database server. The RIPE Whois server uses a backend SQL database to allow support for very large repositories. There is support for IPv6 records and lookups. Both RPSL and RIPE181 are supported.
