Open Source in Tab is an extension which opens the pages source file in a new tab.

GNU Source-highlight produces a document with syntax highlighting when given a source file.

Source-highlight reads source language specifications dynamically, thus it can be easily extended (without recompiling the sources) for handling new languages.

GNU Source-highlight also reads output format specifications dynamically, and thus it can be easily extended (without recompiling the sources) for handling new output formats. The syntax for these specifications is quite easy (take a look at the manual).

Since version 2.2, source-highlight can also generate cross references; in order to do this it relies on GNU Ctags.

OpenScientist is an integration of open source products working together to do scientific visualization and data analysis, in particular for high energy physics (HEP).
The project is definitely NOT one million lines of intricated and unnecessary complicated home made code reinventing everything.
Motivations
Experiments in high energy and nuclear physics need to be at the edge of computing technologies but at the same time have to face a very long life time (LHC experiments are going to be a matter of decades). This involves that the software must be organized in a way that permits to include or discard some technologies in an easy way without having to recode everything at each change of a piece.
For data analysis, the HEP community had used the CERN/PAW tool for years. Whilst this program had been used and is probably still used by hundred of physicists in the world, it is not any more maintained by the lab that created and promoted it : CERN. This lab had not been able to establish long term collaborative software engineering plans in order to have a technical follow up of this program and analysis tools in general. (What is astounding, is that the same people that were behind CERN/PAW come now with another tool (ROOT) which has exactly the same engineering defects).
OpenScientist is first of all an architecture trying to handle the problem differently to avoid upseting huge software phase transitions in the future. The key points of the system are the modularity and the openness. Enhancements:
- An HDF5 driver was introduced in BatchLab.
- The build system was replaced with obuild.
- Support for CoinPython was added.
- Initial support was added for both Qt4 and SDL.
- Examples were added.
- Assorted code cleanups and speedups were done.

Sorcerer is a source-based Linux distribution for system administrators. The sources are downloaded directly from software authors homepages and mirrors.

Then, they are compiled with the architecture and optimizations that the system administrator specifies.

Finally, it is installed, tracked, and archived for easy removal and upgrades. Sorcerer has both command line and menu driven source mangement programs.

gen_names populates customer/invoice tables with random (but realistic looking) data. Thedata has been gathered from various sources including census and local council Web sites.
The project is supposed to be used to road test various DBMS solutions.
Enhancements:
- This release fixes Oracle support, which was previously broken.

Kconfigure simplifies compiling and installing software by providing a graphical interface.

Easy to use, click in konqueror the configure file and configure, make and install the sources in the gui with kconfigure.

Serverstats is a simple tool for creating graphs using rrdtool. It does not have any features to manage the created rrd-files, so if you change anything you have to delete and recreate the files.
There is also no frontend for managing your graphs and sources. Serverstats is designed to be configured once and then run continuously. It does not depend on a database.
Main features:

- sources can use a cache if needed (for example to calculate per second values out of absolute values)

- graphs can include any defined sources and/or rrdfile

- usage of cacti scripts possible (scripts from cacti release are included, hope thats ok for the devs of cacti)
- multiple RRA-definitions supported (you can select one "template" for every source)
- Errorlogger, may use syslog, write into a file or send you an email
Included Sources
- All includes sources are written for a linux-system. You may write some to run on windows, but there is nothing for windows included in the releases. Also I do not know if the sources will run on any other UNIX-system.
- users - number of users logged in
- load - current load of the system (1min, 5min and 15min) and number of (running) processes
- traffic - traffic passing through iptables-chains, needs special configuration
- mysql - save questions (per second) and number of current processes
- external - get data from external scripts (same format as cacti uses)
- memory - statistics of memory and swap
- cpu - statistics of cpu usage (thanks to Andreas Korthaus)
- apache - statistics from localhost/server-status (thanks to Andreas Korthaus)
- disk - monitor your IO-rate (kernel 2.6 only)

Beesoft Commander is a file manager (like Norton Commander) for Linux.

BSCommander is based on Qt-GUI.

The basis of this program is Qt toolkit from Trolltech (non-commercial licence for open sources programs). Im writing in C++, and using Qt and STL.
