System Local Audit Daemon 2.0
SLAD is a tool for performing local security checks against GNU/Linux systems. more>>
SLAD is a tool for performing local security checks against GNU/Linux systems.
SLAD has been primarily developed for the BOSS project to work together with Nessus to enhance its local scanning capabilities. For example, scanning for weak passwords with a tool like John-the-Ripper is something that simply cannot be achieved by a network scan.
Therefore, SLAD is required to be installed on every GNU/Linux system where local auditing needs to be done. SLAD can then be used as a stand-alone application or more conveniently through Nessus. For usage with Nessus two NASL plugins are provided for interfacing between Nessus and SLAD
The Version 2.0 provides a XML Interface for Parameters and easy integration of additional audit-parameters and tools. To help the administrator to integrate a new feature-set, a development-documentation is provided with the cvs.
SLAD has been tested and verified on the following platforms:
RedHat Fedora Core 3
SuSe 9.2
Debian 3.0 (woody)
Debian 3.1 (sarge)
ERPOSS3
Gentoo Linux 2004.3
SLAD is implemented in Perl and provides an extendable plugin architecture allowing to use various GPL-based security scanners and auditing tools under one common framework. Currently, SLAD comes packaged with
John-the-Ripper
Chkrootkit
LSOF
ClamAV
Tripwire
TIGER
As a result SLAD delivers reports of these locally installed auditing and analysis tools. When used with Nessus the individual reports are wrapped into a standard Nessus report.
SLAD as well as the SLAD NASL Plugins can be downloaded from this Website in their current stable release V2.0.
Installation:
You can use our "easy-to-use" GTK installer, this installer downloads the lastest SLAD Release Binary, and install it on the target system. You only need to provide the login for the traget system.

Email 2.5.1
Email sends email to remote SMTP servers via the command line, which makes it useful in cron jobs. more>>
Email sends email to remote SMTP servers via the command line, which makes it useful in cron jobs. It will send to any RFC standard remote ESMTP server, and will allow you to encrypt, sign, and design your message on the fly.
It has the capability to use signature files with dynamic options, address book functionality, and users can also attach pictures, binary files, documents, or whatever they want. It is completely compatible with GNUPG for encryption and signing, and is easy to configure and use.
Enhancements:
- A bug where an assert caused an abort when encrypting any message with GnuPG under Cygwin has been fixed.
- Compile time problems where the compiler would complain about SIG* being undeclared have been fixed.
- There is some minor source code cleanup.

Email::Find 0.10
Email::Find allows you to find RFC 822 email addresses in plain text. more>>
Email::Find allows you to find RFC 822 email addresses in plain text.
Email::Find is a module for finding a subset of RFC 822 email addresses in arbitrary text (see "CAVEATS"). The addresses it finds are not guaranteed to exist or even actually be email addresses at all (see "CAVEATS"), but they will be valid RFC 822 syntax.
Email::Find will perform some heuristics to avoid some of the more obvious red herrings and false addresses, but theres only so much which can be done without a human.
Finds email addresses in the text and executes callback registered.
The callback is given two arguments. The first is a Mail::Address object representing the address found. The second is the actual original email as found in the text. Whatever the callback returns will replace the original text.

Email::AutoReply is a Perl extension for writing email autoresponders.
SYNOPSIS
use Email::AutoReply;
my $auto = Email::AutoReply->new;
$auto->reply;
This module may be useful in writing autoresponders. The example code above will try to respond (using Sendmail) to an email message given as standard input.
The module will reply once to each email address it sees, storing sent-to addresses in a database. This database class is Email::AutoReply::DB::BerkeleyDB by default, but any class that implements Email::AutoReply::DB may be used.

Email Files Thunderbird 1.0
Email Files Thunderbird is a very simple service menu script, to email one or more files with Thunderbird. more>>
Email Files Thunderbird is a very simple service menu script, to email one or more files with Thunderbird to any address or to a given address, which i assume is used as a "backup" space.
The subject is automatically updated according to the attached files and, in case you choose to send to your specific email address, details about sending date, user and host are automatically added in the body.
There are other similar service menus around, but i wanted a script that allows to attach more than one file at one time and that automatically updates the subject line.
USAGE: pretty straightforward.. Just make the two .sh files executable (if necessary) and place them in a directory of your path, for example /home/YOUR_USERNAME/bin. Place the service menu file EmailWithThunderbird.desktop in /home/YOUR_USERNAME/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus
IMPORTANT: In file EmailWithThunderbirdToMyAddress.sh, you need to specify your email address in to=.... (that is, where i wrote: YOUR_EMAIL_ADDRESS@DOMAIN.NAME)
This project was tested on OpenSuSE 10.2, KDE 3.5.6

Linux Security Auditing Tool 0.9.6
Linux Security Auditing Tool (LSAT) is a post install security auditing tool. more>>
The Linux Security Auditing Tool (LSAT) is a post install security auditor for Linux/Unix.
Linux Security Auditing Tool checks many system configurations and local network settings on the system for common security/config errors and for packages that are not needed.
It (for now) works under Linux (x86: Gentoo, RedHat, Debian, Mandrake; Sparc: SunOS (2.x), Redhat sparc, Mandrake Sparc; Apple OS X).
Enhancements:
- The dependency on the popt library has been removed.
- This release adds extra passwd and group checks under Linux, a check for failed logins under Linux/Solaris, a check for kernel modules under Solaris, network interface stats, and routing checks. It fixes a problem in checknetforward giving false positives, and an issue where verbose output was not very consistent.
- The kernel module check under Linux has been modified.

Email Administration Utility 1.5.2
Email Administration Utility provides an IMAP-based email account management utility. more>>
Email Administration Utility provides an IMAP-based email account management utility.
The Email Administration Utilities package can be used to manage email accounts with a series of PHP-based scripts through a browser.
Addition, Removal, and modification of accounts is possible as long as an IMAP port is available on the mail server.
The Mailadmin project was originally designed to help owners of domains that were hosted by Hub.Org Networking Services. The company wanted users to be able to create, remove or modify email accounts when ever they wanted, giving them a quicker turnaround for Mail Administration Purposes.
As the utility was developed, tested and matured into what it is today, many users requested more features or contributed reports of issues to help improve the utilities stability. Hub.Org has given me permission to release the utility as an Open Source package so that others may also benifit from the simplicity that the Mailadmin utility offers to those who need complete control over email accounts.
With this in mind, I intend to continue development by adding new features as they are requested and fix any issues that may pop up. The more users who use and test the features that the Mailadmin utility offers will help to improve the functionality offered by Mailadmin. I have opened a Sourceforge account to help manage the development and releases of the utility as it matures into what users and developers see the Mailadmin to be.
Main features:
- Administrator:
- Adding/Deleting Email accounts.
- Setting Account Quotas.
- Obtaining Administrative Access Over Older Accounts.
- Changing An Accounts Password.
- Interfaces with the Cyrus IMAP/POP3 server.
- Transaction Log system, allowing you to track changes or to help debug issues.
- Standard User:
- Changing The Accounts Password.
- In Development:
