Gourmet Recipe Manager 0.13.3

Gourmet Recipe Manager 0.13.3

Gourmet Recipe Manager is a simple but powerful recipe managing application that is intended for the GNOME desktop environment. more>>
Gourmet Recipe Manager is a simple but powerful recipe-managing application. Gourmet is intended for the GNOME desktop environment, but works on any platform that gtk supports, including windows.
Gourmet allows you to collect, search and organize your recipes, and to automatically generate shopping lists from your collection. Take a look at the screenshots for a sense of how this works.
Gourmet Recipe Manager is free software. If you want to contribute to the project and youre a python programmer, please take a look at the source code and start hacking! If you would like to use Gourmet in a language other than English, you can help translate gourmet using the rosetta web-based tool.
Simple Search
Screenshot of Search viewA simple index view allows you to look at all your recipes as a list and quickly search through them by ingredient, title, category, cuisine, rating, or instructions. Searching happens as you type to save you keystrokes, and multiple kinds of searches can easily be combined from this same view (so you can search for salads (category) with walnuts (ingredient) without having to open a separate dialog. You can easily sort recipes by clicking on the column youd like to sort by. Furthermore, for advanced users, you can search using regular expressions.
Recipe Editor
Screenshot of Search viewA recipe card view allows editing and entering individual recipes easily. It also instantly multiplies ingredient amounts if you need to multiply or divide a recipe, and even adjusts units to keep them as readable as possible (so that 2 tbs. x 4 displays as 1/2 cup). Gourmet aims to make entering ingredients as intuitive and painless as possible, while still allowing for powerful features. Major Features:
A keyed ingredient list which allows searches and shopping-list generation to understand synonyms (like aubergine and eggplant) and ignore ingredient descriptions (i.e. to treat "tomatoes, finely chopped" as "tomatoes" for the purpose of searching and generating shopping lists.
An intuitive spreadsheet-like editing interface
An alternative, fast form-like ingredient entering interface (which allows you to easily type ingredient lists without looking at the screen.
Drag-n-drop support for importing ingredient lists from your web browser or other application.
Support for pasting ingredient lists in from your clipboard.
Support for grouping ingredients within a recipe.
Support for calling another recipe as an ingredient.(Note: this allows you to use a recipe as a menu!)
Support for optional ingredients.
In addition to ingredients and instructions, you can enter information about categories, cuisines, and ratings that you can later use to search for recipes. In each case, Gourmet allows you a drop down menu of standard categories and categories youve used in the past, but also allows you to enter any custom categories you like.
You can also add images to your recipe for an attractive display. Thumbnails will be displayed in the recipe index. Currently, only HTML export supports images.
Import and Export
Gourmet includes simple and powerful import and export filters for a number of formats, including the two most common recipe formats on the web (mealmaster and mastercook).
Gourmet can import the following kinds of files:
Mealmaster Files
MasterCook text files
MasterCook XML files
Gourmet XML files
A number of popular recipe websites, such as epicurious and recipezaar
Gourmet also can import ingredient lists from a regular plain text list, which can be imported from a file, pasted from the clipboard or dragged onto the editing view.
Gourmet can export the following kinds of files:
Mealmaster files
Rich Text Format
Plain Text
Recipe Web Pages
Gourmet XML files
On GNU/Linux systems, gourmet can also export PDF or postscript files via its printing interface.
Gourmet aims to import and export as many common formats as possible. If you have a format youd like to import, please submit a feature request, or, if youre a programmer, go ahead and start writing the filter yourself!
Shopping List Manager
Screenshot of Shopping List ViewGourmet allows you to automatically generate shopping list from your recipes. You can easily multiply recipes when you add them to adjust for the number of people youre cooking for. If the units are convertable, different units used in different recipes will be added up correctly on your shoppings list (Gourmet even knows the density of some common foods to allow volume-to-weight conversions!). If Gourmet cant convert your units, the shopping list will simply display both units -- for example, the screenshot shows both tsp. and cloves of garlic, since these units cant be sensibly combined.
If you already have an item that appears on your shopping list, you can drag it into your "pantry" so it wont be included! Items added to your pantry will be remembered in the future (so you dont have to manually remove items like "water" from your shopping list every time a recipe calls for it). However, since the pantry list is shown next to the shopping list, you will always have a list at hand of all the ingredients called for by your recipes. (You can drag an item back from the pantry to the shopping list if youve run out.)
The shopping list is also automatically sorted into categories. Gourmet knows the basic categories of a number of foods (produce, meat, fish), and you can create whatever categories are convenient for your own shopping -- I use it for sorting out the basic sections and aisles of my local grocery store and those items that I get from specialty stores. You can set up shopping categories as you enter recipes, or you can move ingredients around within the shopping list view by drag and dropping or using a popup menu.
Main features:
- Simple searching and sorting
- Easy recipe editing
- Import and export from various formats
- A shopping list creator and organizer

Interchange 5.4.2

Interchange 5.4.2

Interchange provides a mature Web application development environment. more>>
Interchange provides a mature Web application development environment.
Interchange is a mature Web application development environment with a focus on ecommerce and dynamic content management.
It offers session and user management, database connectivity (both via SQL and a database abstraction layer), templating, a shopping cart, payment processing, inventory, encryption (via GnuPG, PGP, etc.), tax and shipping calculation, discounts, Web-based administration, localization, event routing, SOAP-based RPC, a custom tag language akin to CFML, and the full power of Perl. It grew out of two earlier projects, MiniVend and Tallyman.
Enhancements:
- A DoS exploit caused by carefully crafted HTTP POST requests has been fixed.
- An apparent Perl bug that allowed code called by DispatchRoutines to overwrite the routines arrays themselves has been worked around.
- Masking of unencrypted credit card numbers to work with a custom MV_CREDIT_CARD_INFO_TEMPLATE that does not match the regexp has been fixed.
- The regexp has been fixed so that it removes the CVV2 value from the unencrypted data.
- A shipping problem with the temporary mv_shipping cart that could cause trouble in cart recalculations has been fixed.
- There are other various bugfixes and minor enhancements.

Webforce Cart 1.6

Webforce Cart 1.6

Webforce Cart (wfCart) is a free PHP shopping cart class you can use a component of a PHP based online store. more>>
Webforce Cart (wfCart) is a free PHP shopping cart class you can use a component of a PHP based online store. Its designed as a component for PHP developers who would rather write their own store rather than a complete solution.
Instructions and examples for the free PHP Shopping Cart
To use the cart in an existing script:
Rename wfcart.php.txt to wfcart.php and upload to your server.
Then include the file:
include("wfcart.php");
Start the session, and assign the cart to it. NOTE: You must include the file wfcart.php before you start the session, its just the way PHP works.
session_start();
$cart =& $_SESSION[cart];
if(!is_object($cart)) $cart = new wfCart();
Then you can use the functions like $cart->get_contents();, these functions are documented below.
Adding an Item - $cart->add_item( code , quantity , price , info )
If you have a widget with code AB313 and a price of $40.11, you can add it to the cart with :
$cart->add_item(AB313,1,40.11,Widget AB313 Standard);
If the item AB313 is alreay in the cart, then the quantity of it will be increased by the quantity supplied to the function, in this case 1. The itemid must be unique, and can be letters and/or numbers.
Deleting an Item - $cart->del_item( itemid );
E.g. to delete the item ID 123
$cart->del_item(123);
Changing the quantity of an item -
$cart->edit_item( itemid, new_quantity );
For example :
$cart->edit_item(HA2,3);
If you set the quanitity to zero, the item is deleted.
Getting the number of items in a cart
echo $cart->itemcount;
Getting the total value of the cart.
echo $cart->total;
Emptying the cart
$cart->empty_cart();
Getting the cart contents
$items = $cart->get_contents();
$items is an array, so the following code displays the items.
foreach($items as $item) {
echo "Code/ID :".$item[id]."
";
echo "Quantity:".$item[qty]."
";
echo "Price :".$item[price]."
";
echo "Info :".$item[info]."
";
echo "Subtotal".$item[subtotal]."
";
}
Note, subtotal is quantity X price for that item, not a running total..
Extending Webforce Cart
There are 2 functions you can create that will enable more flexability.
One is wf_get_price( itemid, qty ). If you need to do pricing based on Quantity ( e.g. bulk discounts ) then you can create a function called wf_get_price to do what you need itto do. If you do not pass a price to add_item, then the wf_ get_price function will be called. If you use this functionality, AND your price is quantity dependant, then you must uncomment the line in the edit_item function.
The other is wf_get_info, again, if you do not pass info to add_item then get_info will be called. TIP: you do not have to pass a string to add_item(), you could use an array of infomation instead. e.g. add_item( AS2112,5,19.95,array(size=>large,color=>red)); then when you use get_contents, you echo $item[info][color] etc.
Enhancements:
- The empty cart function was fixed.

Ubercart project is an e-commerce shopping cart integrated with the Drupal CMS.
Main features:
- Configurable product catalog includes catalog pages and a block to display product categories.
- Flexible product creation system. Create normal products by default. Create product classes to store more information on a subset of your catalog. (Ex: Creating a book class would let you store and display separately the author, publisher, and length of the book.)
- Flexible product attributes system. Create user selectable attributes for your products that modify the price, SKU/model, and/or weight of items as the customer adds them to his or her cart.
- Single page checkout. All checkout information gathered on a single screen composed of configurable checkout panes. Third party modules can define checkout panes to replace or add to the default set, making it easy to customize the checkout experience.
- Automatic account generation (anonymous checkout). Accounts and emails are automatically generated based on the customers e-mail address. For return customers, previously used addresses will be listed on the checkout page for easy access.
- Simple order processing. The order administration screens have been designed by and for our salesmen. We believe there is always room for improvement and will try to make it happen! Order screens use the "pane" model, so the screens are configurable and extensible to accommodate a wide variety of e-commerce applications.
- Simple order creation and editing. Easy to create orders manually for customers, adding products, shipping prices, etc. from a single screen. Line items system makes it easy to add fees, discounts, and coupons to orders.
- Integrated payment system that acts as a bridge between acceptable payment methods (check, credit card, cod, etc.) and payment gateways (Cyber Source, Authorize.net, PayPal, etc.). Configurable payment processing and tracking, and easy to use credit card terminal with varying levels of access.
- Activity logging. Enable logging to see all the changes made to an order, including payment processing. (Your accountant will love this!)

Gtk2::Ex::RecordsFilter 0.03

Gtk2::Ex::RecordsFilter 0.03

Gtk2::Ex::RecordsFilter is a high level widget to browse reasonably large amounts of relational data. more>>
Gtk2::Ex::RecordsFilter is a high level widget to browse reasonably large amounts of relational data. This widget is inspired by the song browser of iTunes.

SYNOPSIS

use Gtk2 -init;
use Gtk2::Ex::RecordsFilter;

# Create a recordset
my $recordset = [
[Automobiles,Cars,Toyota,Camry],
[Automobiles,SUV,BMW,Xi],
[Automobiles,SUV,Toyota,Highlander],
[Automobiles,Cars,Mitsubishi,Lancer]
];

# Create the recordsfilter object
my $recordsfilter = Gtk2::Ex::RecordsFilter->new;

# Specify the headers for the columns
my $headers = [Category, Sub-Category, Brand, Model];
Gtk2::Ex::RecordsFilter->set_headers($headers);

# Inject data into the widget
Gtk2::Ex::RecordsFilter->set_data($recordset);

# Get a ref to its widget
my $recordsfilter_widget = $recordsfilter->get_widget();

# Create the root window
my $window = Gtk2::Window->new;
$window->signal_connect(destroy => sub { Gtk2->main_quit; });
$window->set_default_size(500, 300);

# Add the widget to the root window
$window->add($recordsfilter_widget);
$window->show_all;

Gtk2->main;

When working with large amounts of relational records (csv files, database records, music files index), a common task is to filter out a subset or records from a given set. For example, in a master-detail database design, the master recordset, which is typically smaller than the detail recordset, can be filtered out and the filtered subset of master records can then be used to perform additional tasks on the detail records that they point to.

A common example of this usage is the song browser in your own mp3 player application (for example, the iTunes application). This application will allow you to choose an mp3 file (the detail record) based on criteria such as Artist, Album, Song (the master record). Once the master record is choosen (i.e., the Artist, Album and Song) it then performs a task on the detail record (i.e., play the mp3 file).

This Gtk2::Ex::RecordsFilter widget is inspired by the iTunes song browser widget. But this widget carries certain functionality which is not present in the iTunes song browser. The iTunes song browser allows the user to choose one song (one master record) at a time and play it. However, a more general usage should allow the user to choose multiple master records at a time. One approach for such multiple selections is to enable the user to click on different records with the CTRL key pressed and then choose all the highlighted records in one shot. This widget takes a different approach, which I call the shopping cart approach. This is explained in the next section.

Config::Framework 2.5

Config::Framework 2.5

Config::Framework is a Perl module with handy one-stop shopping for (most) of your configuration file needs. more>>
Config::Framework is a Perl module with handy one-stop shopping for (most) of your configuration file needs.

SYNOPSIS

#create a new object, load two configuration files and decrypt the passwords. my $Object = new Config::Framework( Files => [ApplicationCfg.xml,UserCfg.xml], GetSecure => 1 ) || die $Config::Framework::errstr;

#change some data in one of the loaded configs $Object->{UserCfg}->{backgroundColor} = #00CCFF;

#write that change back to the file you loaded it from $Object->WriteConfig(configNamespace => "UserCfg") || die $Object->{errstr};

#Define a new configuration namespace %{ $Object->{newConfig} } = ( configNamespace => "newConfig", protectNamespace => 1, Version => 1, #arbitrary data keys follow backgroundColor => #006699, getRecords => 10, followLinks => 1, someThing => "in a bag" );

#Write your new configuration data out to an encrypted file #under the applications ApplicationFramework directory $Object->WriteConfig( configNamespace => "newConfig", Encrypt => 1, Crypt => "Rijndael", Key => "l33tp4sw3rd" File => "$Object->{FrameworkDir}/newConfig.xml" ) || die $Object->{errstr};

At long last I have decided to re-write the documentation for Config::Framework, in a manner which should be comprehensible by people other than myself. I would like to offer my sincerest appologies to anyone who tried to comprehend the sprawling stream-of-consiousness rant that was the previous documentation. Im sorry, I wasnt trying to make you insane. Now on with the show.

Ok so what is Config::Framework? Its a handy module for dealing with situations where you need your program to be able to load external data from a file that controls how your program operates. Im talking about configuration files here. So what do you do in a situation like that? Well you figure out a format to store your configuration parameters in, then write routines to read that format and put it some sort of meaningful data structure, and to write data from the data structure back out to the file.

Wouldnt it be nice if someone defined a standard config file format so that you wouldnt need to write your own parser? Well in the end, all a config file really is, is an arbitrary data structure expressed in in ascii. A standard way of serializing data structures in ascii you say? That sounds a bit like XML! Well the Data::DumpXML module will serialize perl data structures into XML and restore them for you, and you could certainly dump that to a file easily enough.
Ok getting to the point. The main thing that Config::Framework does for you is to define a standard data structure (or at least some standard guidelines for your data structure) and then front-ends Data::DumpXML so that you can arbitrarily dump and restore these data structures to files.

While were at it, Config::Framework aspires to be your one-stop-shop for config-type-stuff, by helping you stay organized in the way you handle external configuration data.
