Auth MemCookie 1.0
Auth MemCookie is an Apache v2 authentification and authorization modules are based on cookie authentification mecanism. more>>
Auth MemCookie is an Apache v2 authentification and authorization modules are based on "cookie" authentification mecanism.
The module dont make authentification by it self, but verify if authentification "the cookie" are valid for each url protected by the module. The module validate also if the "authentificated user" have authorisation to acces url.
Authentification are made externaly by an authentification form page and all authentification information nessary to the module a stored in memcached indentified by the cookie value "authentification session id" by this login page.
How it Works
Phase 1 : The login Form
Authentification are made by a login formular page.
This login page must authenticate the user with any authenticate source (ldap, /etc/password, file, database....) accessible to langage of the page (php, perl, java... an ldap login page sample in php are in samples directory).
Then must set cookie that contain only a key the "authentification unique id" of the "authentification session".
The login page must store authorisation and user information of the authenticated user in memcached identified by the cookie key "authentification unique id".
The login page can be developted in any langage you want, but must be capable to use memcached (they must have memcache client api for us)
Phase 2 : The Apache v2 Module
After the user are logged, the apache 2 module check on each protected page by apache ACL the presence of the "cookie".
if the "cookie" exist, try to get session in memcached with the "cookie" value if not found return "HTTP_UNAUTHORIZED" page.
if session exist in memcached verify if acl match user session information if not match return "HTTP_FORBIDDEN" page.

phpMyRecipes 1.2.0
phpMyRecipes is a simple application for storing and retrieving recipes. more>>
phpMyRecipes is a simple application for storing and retrieving recipes. phpMyRecipes project uses a web-based interface, for ease of use across any system, and a MySQL database backend for storing the recipes.
In addition, fine-grained security is implemented so that the recipes can be searched and viewed by anyone, but all functions that make changes (adding/editing/deleting) require additional privileges to be granted by the administrator. Privileges for adding things can be granted separate from privileges for deleting things. The administrator can also decide whether or not units or categories are modifiable, on a per-user basis.
Recipes are categorized, and new categories are easy to create. Ingredients are added to the database on-the-fly, as they are used in recipes. Unit types (such as "cup" or "teaspoon") are stored in the database as well, and can be easily added to or modified. Unit "plurals" are also handled correctly when viewing recipes (using "cups" instead of "cup" in the right places).
A robust search feature is included that allows users to search the recipes based on a wide range of criteria, including words found (or not found) in the instructions, the recipe name, category, and ingredients list.

mod_auth_cookie_dbm 1.0.2
mod_auth_cookie_dbm is a session authentication/expiration using (cryptographically strong) cookies. more>>
mod_auth_cookie_dbm is a session authentication/expiration using (cryptographically strong) cookies. Cookie-to-username mapping with DBM database.
It was devised as a better replacement for the "Basic" authentication components that ship with Apache.
Classic "Basic" authentication has some downsides:
- Username and password are shipped across the net with every request.
- There is no concept of a "session" (nor encores, such as timeouts and automatic logout)
This module
1. checks requests for a cookie, named in the CookieDBMAuthCookieName configuration directive.
2. If found, the cookie value is looked up in a DBM database, named in the CookieDBMAuthFile directive.
If the lookup fails, a redirect is made to a page specified in the CookieDBMAuthFailureURL directive.
3. The DBM entry is expected to contain a username and optionally an expiry time. Fields are colon-separated, the expiry time is a spelled-out integer (the field gets passed to strtol()) representing the time_t
If valid, the username is taped onto the request, thus "emulating" Basic authentication.
If expired, redirect to the CookieDBMAuthFailureURL.
The CookieDBMAuthFailureURL typically points at a "login page" CGI script. This program, after checking the users credentials, should make up a cookie value (preferably a long, cryptographically strong random string), enter it in the dbm file, and pass it to the browser. It might also update an AuthUserFile or AuthDBMUserFile database on the fly.
Acknowledgements:
This module was written from scratch, with some inspiration from the mod_auth_cookie_mysql and mod_auth_cookie_pgsql2 modules.

mod_auth_cookie_mysql2 0.7
mod_auth_cookie_mysql2 is an authentification with cookies against a MySQL db. more>>
mod_auth_cookie_mysql2 is a rewrite of the mod_auth_cookie_mysql module for apache 1.3. Some features were added, some were forgotten.
The module is available for apache 1.3 (mod_auth_cookie_mysql1) and apache 2 (mod_auth_cookie_mysql2). It is tested with mysql 3.x/4.x and and 5.0.x.
The current version of of this module is version 0.7.
If you want to receive a message when a new version is released, please leave your e-mail address in the announcements field at the left top of this site. This will register you to a moderated mailing list. Your e-mail address, will be kept private, it isnt visible to other users and it will not be distributed.
Basic auth is a standard authentication method in the internet. Two big disadvantages are, that on every request the username and password are transmitted to the webserver and there is no possibility to log out without closing the webbrowser.
With this module you can authorize your users with cookies. An external script sets the cookie and this module checks it against a MySQL database. The username/password combination is only one time transferred to the webserver when the external authenticator script (which sets the cookie) checks the user data. The generated cookie consists only of random session data.
So you can, for example, authenticate the user and set the cookie in a ssl connection and then use the cookie in a non-ssl environment and nobody can spy the username/password. Since the cookie is only random session data nobody can "hack" the system by manipulating the cookie values. Additionally you can add checks for session expiry and the correct remote ip on the server side.
Main features:
- Fake Basic Auth with cookies
- Cookie only consists of random session data, no username or password
- Can check expiry information stored in database against cookie
- Can check if the remote IP is equal to the IP stored in database
Enhancements:
- bug fix: return-code of function check_valid_cookies not initialized - thanks to Valerii Valeev

Petal::Cookbook 2.19
Petal::Cookbook is a Perl module to recipes for building templates with Petal. more>>
Petal::Cookbook is a Perl module to recipes for building templates with Petal.
This document contains some examples of Petal template usage. Most of these examples deal with using Petal to generate HTML files from HTML templates.
BASICS
Template location
When using Petal for web application development, your templates should not need to be accessible by the webserver. In fact, it could be a security risk if they are available since there may be code or comments which users should not see prior to processing by Petal. Thus, it is recommended to store your templates in a non-web accessible directory. Personally I prefer to place the directory outside of the web root but you could also use permissions or .htaccess files to control access to the directory. This directory path should go into the $Petal::BASE_DIR global setting or the base_dir argument for the new() constructor.
Template naming
Petal is indifferent about the name of the template files. Personally, I like to name my templates with the .tmpl extension to help myself and designers distinguish templates from static html. Some GUI editors, though, will not open files without a htm/html extension (esp. under Windows).

CookieSwap 0.5.0
CookieSwap provides an extension that enables you to maintain numerous sets or profiles of cookies that you can quickly. more>>
CookieSwap provides an extension that enables you to maintain numerous sets or profiles of cookies that you can quickly.
Main features:
- Changing your cookies/identity to web e-mail sites (like Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, etc) so that you can quickly look like different users. Nice if you maintain multiple accounts and are tired of logging out and then back in to switch accounts. Also nice if two people are using the same computer and want to switch between accounts quickly.
- Changing your cookies/identity to see how sites like Amazon and Google treat you differently depending on who you are. For example, if Amazon recognizes you as a returning shopper they give you a different looking page (and there were claims that they give you different prices also). Google has begun to use a feature called "Personalized Search", where they modify their search results based on your user identity. There is a question about this when you create your Google account. The results of Google searches are different depending on if Google knows you or not. Use CookieSwap to quickly swap between Google recognizing you and being anonymous. Run the same search and see the differences.
- If you design web sites, you can setup numerous cookie profiles to look like different types of users and swap between those users quickly and easily to test your site in numerous modes (you can hand edit the cookies to have distinct values in each profile using a nice extension like Add & Edit Cookies).

Gourmet Recipe Manager 0.13.3
Gourmet Recipe Manager is a simple but powerful recipe managing application that is intended for the GNOME desktop environment. more>>
Gourmet Recipe Manager is a simple but powerful recipe-managing application. Gourmet is intended for the GNOME desktop environment, but works on any platform that gtk supports, including windows.
Gourmet allows you to collect, search and organize your recipes, and to automatically generate shopping lists from your collection. Take a look at the screenshots for a sense of how this works.
Gourmet Recipe Manager is free software. If you want to contribute to the project and youre a python programmer, please take a look at the source code and start hacking! If you would like to use Gourmet in a language other than English, you can help translate gourmet using the rosetta web-based tool.
Simple Search
Screenshot of Search viewA simple index view allows you to look at all your recipes as a list and quickly search through them by ingredient, title, category, cuisine, rating, or instructions. Searching happens as you type to save you keystrokes, and multiple kinds of searches can easily be combined from this same view (so you can search for salads (category) with walnuts (ingredient) without having to open a separate dialog. You can easily sort recipes by clicking on the column youd like to sort by. Furthermore, for advanced users, you can search using regular expressions.
Recipe Editor
Screenshot of Search viewA recipe card view allows editing and entering individual recipes easily. It also instantly multiplies ingredient amounts if you need to multiply or divide a recipe, and even adjusts units to keep them as readable as possible (so that 2 tbs. x 4 displays as 1/2 cup). Gourmet aims to make entering ingredients as intuitive and painless as possible, while still allowing for powerful features. Major Features:
A keyed ingredient list which allows searches and shopping-list generation to understand synonyms (like aubergine and eggplant) and ignore ingredient descriptions (i.e. to treat "tomatoes, finely chopped" as "tomatoes" for the purpose of searching and generating shopping lists.
An intuitive spreadsheet-like editing interface
An alternative, fast form-like ingredient entering interface (which allows you to easily type ingredient lists without looking at the screen.
Drag-n-drop support for importing ingredient lists from your web browser or other application.
Support for pasting ingredient lists in from your clipboard.
Support for grouping ingredients within a recipe.
Support for calling another recipe as an ingredient.(Note: this allows you to use a recipe as a menu!)
Support for optional ingredients.
In addition to ingredients and instructions, you can enter information about categories, cuisines, and ratings that you can later use to search for recipes. In each case, Gourmet allows you a drop down menu of standard categories and categories youve used in the past, but also allows you to enter any custom categories you like.
You can also add images to your recipe for an attractive display. Thumbnails will be displayed in the recipe index. Currently, only HTML export supports images.
Import and Export
Gourmet includes simple and powerful import and export filters for a number of formats, including the two most common recipe formats on the web (mealmaster and mastercook).
Gourmet can import the following kinds of files:
Mealmaster Files
MasterCook text files
MasterCook XML files
Gourmet XML files
A number of popular recipe websites, such as epicurious and recipezaar
Gourmet also can import ingredient lists from a regular plain text list, which can be imported from a file, pasted from the clipboard or dragged onto the editing view.
Gourmet can export the following kinds of files:
Mealmaster files
Rich Text Format
Plain Text
Recipe Web Pages
Gourmet XML files
On GNU/Linux systems, gourmet can also export PDF or postscript files via its printing interface.
Gourmet aims to import and export as many common formats as possible. If you have a format youd like to import, please submit a feature request, or, if youre a programmer, go ahead and start writing the filter yourself!
Shopping List Manager
Screenshot of Shopping List ViewGourmet allows you to automatically generate shopping list from your recipes. You can easily multiply recipes when you add them to adjust for the number of people youre cooking for. If the units are convertable, different units used in different recipes will be added up correctly on your shoppings list (Gourmet even knows the density of some common foods to allow volume-to-weight conversions!). If Gourmet cant convert your units, the shopping list will simply display both units -- for example, the screenshot shows both tsp. and cloves of garlic, since these units cant be sensibly combined.
If you already have an item that appears on your shopping list, you can drag it into your "pantry" so it wont be included! Items added to your pantry will be remembered in the future (so you dont have to manually remove items like "water" from your shopping list every time a recipe calls for it). However, since the pantry list is shown next to the shopping list, you will always have a list at hand of all the ingredients called for by your recipes. (You can drag an item back from the pantry to the shopping list if youve run out.)
The shopping list is also automatically sorted into categories. Gourmet knows the basic categories of a number of foods (produce, meat, fish), and you can create whatever categories are convenient for your own shopping -- I use it for sorting out the basic sections and aisles of my local grocery store and those items that I get from specialty stores. You can set up shopping categories as you enter recipes, or you can move ingredients around within the shopping list view by drag and dropping or using a popup menu.
Main features:
- Simple searching and sorting
- Easy recipe editing
- Import and export from various formats
- A shopping list creator and organizer

You can set up shopping categories as you enter recipes, or you can move ingredients around within the shopping list view by drag and dropping or using a popup menu.
Main features:
- Simple searching and sorting
- Easy recipe editing
- Import and export from various formats
- A shopping list creator and organizer

Solunas Hotel Management 2.0.1
Solunas Hotel Management helps the user manage small to medium-sized hotels, holiday flats, guest houses, or car rentals. more>>
Solunas Hotel Management helps the user manage small to medium-sized hotels, holiday flats, guest houses, or car rentals.
The Solunas Booking Engine Software is aimed at Hotels and Holiday Homes of between 1 to 150 units who are seeking to market their accomodation over the internet.
Because the trend in online bookings has remained constant/continues to grow, experience shows this system to be well liked by customers with growth in orders extending into the double digits. It is also noteworthy that private landlords providing from 1 to 50 units have a lot of catching up to do when it comes to the latest technology.
The Solunas.org central portal tasks itself, through a worldwide volunteer effort, to create an alternative Booking-Platform to rival commercial product offerings.
The end user has two methods to reserve his accomodation. Firstly, a visual reservations calendar displaying room availability, offers the customer direct booking online by mouse-click.
The second method, offering a manual selecction of the booking period and number of persons, involves a list of available units or groups can, likewise, be booked directly online. Details of the total price and last minute bargains are generated straight from the system.
The booking path, known internally as Bookflow, can be modified for very individual requirements.
