Free ease of use software for linux

EasyOS is a GNU/Linux distribution focused on ease of use. It allows to perfom all the common tasks requiring a computer (Web browsing, text & image editing, etc.) in a very intuitive way compared to traditional distributions, while preserving users from proprietary traps found on most of the bigger OS available on the market.
The operating system is entirely made of Free Software applications, includes an ADSL router and all the applications needed for standard use. These applications (Iceweasel, Abiword, Gnumeric, Gqview, Gimp, MPlayer...) are integrated into a GNU/Linux distribution made with ease of use in mind. The developped applications and software modifications are all released under Free Software Licenses (GPL or original license of the software, Art Libre License for graphical data).
Main features:
- Robust. They are entirely made of non-mechanical pieces (the hard drive is replaced by flash memory)
- Evolutive. They can be extended at the hardware level through modules, and allow the use of USB peripherals. A full-time development team continuously contributes to improve and grow the EasyOS distribution.
- Ecological. They have a very low enrgy consumption (8W for the router, 12W for the PC) and is very silent.

editApage.org is a simple and flexible tool that helps Web designers and people who yearn for control over their websites.

editApage.org project provides the ease of use of Blogging without forcing the end result to resemble a diary.

How does it work?

1. Point editApage.org to any URL on the web.

2. editApage.org loads a copy of the rendered source, and lets you choose which parts youd like to make editable.

3. Enter the FTP settings for the pages final destination, and make some choices on who should be able to edit this page.

4. Enter the pages URL into editApage.org, preview changes youre making, and publish to your live box. Its all the ease of blogging, with none of the forced architecture.

Template::TT2Site is a Perl module to create standard web sites with the Template Toolkit.

SYNOPSIS

tt2site is just a wrapper program. tt2site setup is equivalent to perl -MTemplate::TT2Site -e setup, and so on.

Template::TT2Site is a framework to create web sites using the Template Toolkit.

The technical structure of the site is patterned after the method described in chapter 11 of The Badger Book. The structure has been slightly simplified for ease of use, and a couple of neat features are added:

The resultant site is position independent, i.e., it only uses relative URLs to the extent possible. This makes it easy to build partial sites, and to relocate the contents.

The necessary means are provided to create multi-language sites, where each page gets a link to its translations.
The site.map hash, required for site navigation, is created automatically using minimal, position independent, directions.

This module, Template::TT2Site, provides the necessary methods to setup and maintain a site. It is used by the wrapper program, tt2site.
