myDVDs project is a complete personal Web-based graphical DVD inventory database based fully upon PHP with a MySQL backend and the master Region1 DVD database.
Additionally, it makes use of the :CueCat: barcode reader for database Adds and Searches. It represents an easy and efficient way of managing that ever-growing collection of DVDs.
Enhancements:
- The install script was rewritten.
- The upgrade script now handles nearly all of the manual steps.

- Images are now in the themes CSS.
- The login form has been reworked. XML and PDF generation have been fixed.

xDVDShrink facilitates creation of a fair-use copy of a DVD for archival purposes.

xDVDShrink is a BASH and PERL-Gtk based utility that makes use of readily available Linux tools to create a copy of a DVD.

Single titles or episodic DVDs are supported. Only a single audio and subtitle stream are supported for each title.

DeVeDe project creates video DVDs, suitables for home players.

DeVeDe can create video DVDs from any number of video files, in any of the formats supported by Mplayer.

The big advantage over other utilites is that it only needs Mplayer, Mencoder, DVDAuthor y MKisofs, so its dependencies are really small.

Devidify application can help you to extract audio tracks from DVDs.

I wrote it because I had a few concert DVDs laying around, and wanted to get their audio tracks into my portable music player. At the time, existing Linux-based tools meant ripping the video first, then extracting the audio. They made none of this easy. Who has time for such nonsense? Devidify makes things easy. Feed it a shiny disc and it spits out WAV, MP3, or Ogg Vorbis files.

dvd-slideshow makes a DVD-compatible slideshow video with menus from a batch of pictures.
dvd-slideshow project consists of a set of scripts: dvd-slideshow reads a text file list of all the pictures you want in one slideshow and creates a DVD-compatible MPEG movie with your audio tracks and specified timing.
It supports effects such as fades, crops, and the Ken Burns effect. dvd-menu makes a top-level DVD menu with the output files from dvd-slideshow. dir2slideshow makes a dvd-slideshow input file from a directory of pictures.
gallery2slideshow makes the input file from your Gallery album. jigl2slideshow makes the input file from your jigl album. The output is fed through dvdauthor to create DVDs.
Enhancements:
- This release fixes a few major bugs with newer versions of ImageMagick (6.2.2 and higher) that showed up primarily when using the KenBurns effect.
- There are other bugfixes and improvements that should make this more compatible with the wide variety of Linux systems out there.
- Note that the title keyword has changed, so if you re-run your old slideshows, "title" will have to be changed to "titlebar" for the same behavior.
- The title keyword just displays the text in the middle of the screen.

Pydvdauthor provides an easy-to-use interface for creating video DVDs, including support for chapters. Pydvdauthor project does not yet generate menus.

Its output is the XML files needed for input to the dvdauthor program.

Enhancements:
- An issue with ordering on a few pages has been fixed.
- The system is forced use the OLD_PASSWORD system, so that when someone moves their database from one host (using an old version of MySQL) to a new one (using a new version of MySQL), the passwords of the existing users wont have to be recreated.

python-dvdauthor module allows you to create a structure of menus, titles, and titlesets (including the VMGM menu) in an object-oriented manner.

It can cross-reference commands (typically in < pre > and < post > tags in the dvdauthor .xml) with the actual location of a particular video.

For example: "jump f:%s" % thismenu.id would be turned into "jump titleset 2 menu 3" if it was added to the second titleset as the third menu. python-dvdauthor allows you to build complex interactive DVDs.
