Drugref provides a free pharmaceutical reference information database and infrastructure.

Drugref is a collaborative effort to create and maintain a database of pharmaceutical reference information, tagged by language, country, and reference source.

A Web interface written in PHP4 allows the community of health professionals to maintain and review content.

The database structure, implemented in PostgreSQL, is designed to facilitate automated decision support.

"Tagging" allows one to import information from any source in parallel, thus allowing drugref to work as a generic interface to any kind of (comercially or freely) available drug reference information.

FreeSynd is a cross-platform, GPLed reimplementation of the classic Bullfrog game, Syndicate.
As the worlds multinational corporations grew, their profits began to rival those of small countries. Soon they owned small countries and corporate influence was felt at the highest level of world government. Smaller corporations were swallowed up like plankton in the wake of three behemoth mega-corporations, one U.S.-based, one Europe-based and one based in the Far East. These became the only effective world government, unelected, undemocratic, but controlling the lives of the people through commerce.
Then the European corporation perfected the CHIP. Inserted in the neck, the CHIP stimulated the brain stem to alter your every perception of the outside world. Better than any drug, the CHIP gave hope to millions by numbing their senses to the misery and squalor around them. One CHIP would convince users that the sun shone and the birds sang even as they walked through the constant acid rain drizzle. Another that they were glamorous or handsome - theyd look in the mirror and see a different face - while the rest of the world would see them as they really were.
The CHIP was a technological revolution and sold countless units with the slogan "Why change your world when you can change your mind". It also left the user open to auto-suggestion and gave the corporations the perfect tool for manipulating the populace.
Like any new and potent drug, control of the CHIP meant control of the people. Soon the corporations were at war among themselves, desperate to monopolize CHIP manufacture. But the corporations thirst for power left them open to infiltration.
With money earned through pirating CHIP technology, crime Syndicates bribed and murdered their way into corporation boardrooms. It wasnt long before the Syndicates became the controlling force all over the globe, with a finger in the pie of every transaction, criminal or otherwise, worldwide.
And in the crime Syndicates of tomorrow those in control dont need uzis for back up. Teams of custom-built cyborg agents hunt down rivals and traitors, and spread the influence of the Syndicates across the globe.
Enhancements:
This release boasts the following:
- The first level is "playable".
- Most of the menus are complete and functional.
- Sound and music are operational.
Known issues with this release:
- Agent AI is different from the original game.
- No trees the map.
- The minimap is not complete.
- Tax collection and other functionality of the world map are not done.

Housekeeper helps you keeping track of any items (like food or drugs) in your household.

You can specify expiry dates so you always have an overview of what you should use or rebuy in the near future. Also, shopping lists can easily be created an exported.

j0urnal is a Unix Conesole Based LiveJournal Client. It is coded on a Pentium 133 with 32 megs of memory running Slackware Linux 8.0...
This is the initial release and many features will be added in the future.

Docs::Site_SVD::Tie::FormA is a software version description (SVD) for the Tie::FormA program module.

The system is the Perl programming language software. As established by the Perl referenced documents, program modules, such the "Tie::Form" module, extends the Perl language.

The "Tie::Form" program module accesses a text database file in the very specific Form format and inherits generic database methods from the "DataPort::DataFile" module. The "Tie::Form" program module is a data source for the "DataPort::DataFile" module.

The Form format has improve flexability and performance over other text base formats such as the Comma Separated Variable (CSV) format.

The text format resembles as much as possible the standard hard copy forms. An example of a "DatatPort::FIleType::Form record follows:

The : separates field names and field content. The ^ tags the end of a field and the ~-~ tags the end of the record. The separation sequences are escaped within the form by adding an extra character as follows:

Since ~-~ never appears inside a record, Perl or any other Programming Language can very easily find the record separators just by ... well ... searching for it. The search for the end of field and end of field name are just a little bit more complicated. Search for a : or ^ all by itself. Escaping and unescaping is just adding one more :, ^, - or removing one of these characters.

The Form record looks very much like a hard copy form yet is very simple and straight forward for Perl or any other programming language to process.

Acidblood is an open source IRC robot written for Unix. Its features include channel and user management. Acidblood is not some drug or some lame band name. Yes, it is an IRC robot. I know there are probably tons of them out there, too bad. I wanted to write my own that I knew had no backdoors and would be easy to setup and fast. I initially wrote one in Perl, but that eventually turned out to be pretty slow. I wrote a second version in C, but I never had time to fix it and it core dumped a lot. I rewrote this version in C again, but it doesnt core dump, has reliable network code, and has all relevant data structures in memory to keep it from hitting the disk. The name is derived from a song of Corosion of Conformity.
