UDE 0.2.9b

UDE 0.2.9b

UDE, the Unix Desktop Environment, is a new GUI for Linux. more>>
The UDE-Project is creating a new WM which will be a complete GUI in future. The project does not use any special GUI-Libraries such as QT or GTK+.

We just use the standard Xlibs (both to keep UDE fast and slim and to avoid dependencies).

UDE has a completely original LooknFeel, its not just another copy of the so well known "classical" window management user interface.

AR-Smileys 1.9b

AR-Smileys 1.9b

AR-Smileys package contains some msn-compliant icons for Pidgin (Gaim). more>>
AR-Smileys package contains some msn-compliant icons for Pidgin (Gaim).
This set include only the smileys Im using to chat with friends. No more, no less. Im sorry, if you want other icons, but right now them arent aviable... but I think ill publish soon an extended pack, which contains other smileys, msn compatible, user requested, iditic (er... more idiotic) ones and so on.
The set is made with The GIMP, but for the relase 2.0 ill convert them in SVG. The problem is that on inkscape layers arent easily managed... oh well, even GIMP isnt wonderful when talking about layers managing (source xcf for these smileys have about 200 layers, and isnt easy to manage), but inkscape is even worster. So ive to found a way to handle them better. Maybe ill put a new version of smile-generator online, so you can compose your smileys as you want.
License: you can actually use the set for any non-commercial purpose: you can modify and redistribute the set with this license (i.e. your derived word should be free for non-commercial use). And if you use my set, you should link this website somewhere where you use them.
Anyway, you can find a more detailed license in the package.
Enhancements:
- The version 1.9b is the same of 1.9, but adds the file "emoticons.xml" for kopete users.

Netsukuku is a P2P network system that generates and sustains itself autonomously. more>>
Netsukuku is a P2P network system that generates and sustains itself autonomously, using a fractal algorithm to calculate routes.
Netsukuku program is designed to handle a large number of nodes with minimal CPU and memory resources.
Enhancements:
- An active TCP socket is now kept for each rnode, making it possible to send them TCP packets without the need to establish a new connection each time.
- Since UDP is no longer used for ntk packets, the UDP daemon has been removed and the 271/udp port has been deprecated.
- When there are multiple interfaces which reach the same rnode, the QSPN packets are now sent from a random device each time.
- GCC 4 compilation warnings were fixed.
- SNSD recursion has been fixed in ntk-resolv.

KBoard 0.9b

KBoard 0.9b

KBoard is a generic game interface for two player turn based board games. more>>
KBoard is a generic game interface for two player turn based board games, and currently supports a bunch of chess variants, connect four, reversi and chain reaction (and more will be added). Kboard also supports network chess play on ics servers, as well as game observation and examination.
We have implemented a quite powerful generic animation engine, and a highly customizable theme specification (based on lua), that can just load everything and create shadows (default theme is SVG, skulls theme too).
At the moment the released code is only based on Qt4, so it should be quite portable, but we will make use of Kde when available in future releases.
Generic game support:
Many board games can be easily implemented using the extensible KBoard infrastructure. So far, the following board games are implemented:
- Chess
- Crazyhouse
- Atomic
- Monster Chess (King and four pawns)
- Progressive Chess
- Reversi
- Connect Four
- Chain Reaction

htb-gen 0.9b-1

htb-gen 0.9b-1

htb-gen is an easy, scalable bandwidth management tool. more>>
htb-gen is meant to be an easy, scalable, yet powerfull, bandwidth management tool. You can set up/down portions of bandwith for each host or network, that goes trough your firewall/router.
Prioritary traffic(web, mail, gaming, ftp, voip, streaming) is preferred over Junk traffic(kazaa, emule, etc). Also dynamic bandwith borrow and re-assignation is done betwen host thanks to htb boundaries.
A web-frontend for config is avaible as well, so remote management is possible. All bash based so it can be used in embedded routers/firewalls (wired/wireless).
Two backend are aviable:
- generates raw tc commands
- generates htb-init conf files (util for integration)
The packet clasification is done by iptables

Graphics3D 6.09

Graphics3D 6.09

Graphics3D is a free, Open Source C++ library for game developers, researchers, and students. more>>
Graphics3D is a free, Open Source C++ library for game developers, researchers, and students. Graphics3D project is a base of robust and high performance code common to most 3D projects.
It is not a standalone graphics or game engine--it is the set of pieces you need to jumpstart your own engine or graphics project. The library has two parts: G3D for pure math, and GLG3D for interacting with hardware acceleration via OpenGL.
You can use G3D without GLG3D if you want to use another 3D API (like DirectX) or dont like the OpenGL abstraction.
G3D does not contain scene graph or GUI routines. Because of this, there is a lot of flexibility to how you structure your programs. The tradeoff is that you have to know more about 3D programming. G3D is intended for users who are already familiar with C++ and DirectX or OpenGL.
G3D does not draw widgets by itself. Several good G3D-compatible GUI libraries exist and we recommend using one with G3D if your project has extensive UI needs.
Enhancements:
- Rendering is now approximately 20% faster for applications using the high-level ArticulatedModel and IFSModel objects.
- A new Half-life-style interactive text console and World of Warcraft-style camera controller enable more sophisticated debugging and interaction.
- Other new features include querying texture dimensions from GLSL shaders, support for Mesa3D software rendering, and high-quality Bayer-to-RGB conversion for video frames.
