XAO::Web is a part of XAO open source web services suite. It allows to build dynamic web content using data, templates and external input.
The distinguishing feature of XAO::Web is in its modular design where almost every aspect of functionality can be altered and alterations can be re-used. No complex code is embedded in the templates which allows to upgrade code and templates separately or maintain multiple visual representations of the same functionality at the same time.
Installation

Saying "install XAO::Web" from the CPAN shell is a good way too:
perl -MCPAN -eshell
install XAO::Web
Using CPAN shell is usually the best way because all dependencies will be resolved automatically.
If you do manual installation then XAO::Web depends on at least the following modules (look into Makefile.PL or just watch closely the output of `perl Makefile.PL for additional dependencies):
XAO::Base
XAO::FS
Digest::MD5
Error
MIME::Lite
Test::Unit
When you run "perl Makefile.PL" you will be asked for XAO::Web test database. That database is only used when you do `make test and it have to exist. It does not matter what is inside the database, it will be completely wiped out for each test case.
Normally the database should be the same that you have used for XAO::FS tests and in case of MySQL is usually test or test_fs.
The directory where templates get installed is the same that you gave to XAO::Base when you installed it. Normally that directory is /usr/local/xao -- we will assume that for the rest of the document.
Main features:
- Perl code is not mixed with templates. Templates can be normal HTML files if no processing is required.
- A specific site can replace or modify standard XAO::Web objects if required by overriding or extending their methods. You do not need to re-implement entire object to make a site specific change. In case of system object upgrade or bug fix there is no need to alter site-specific changes normally.
- Site can create any extension objects or embed third-party extensions as well.
- One server can serve arbitrary number of XAO::Web sites each with however extended functionality without creating any conflicts. That includes different modifications to the system objects for different sites.
- Not limited to Web environment, allows to build any dynamic content -- content of mail messages or reports for instance.
- Works with CGI or mod_perl (mod_perl is recommended for production grade sites).
- If used in mod_perl mode improves performance by using caching of configuration, parsed templates, database handlers and so on.
- XAO::Web is by default integrated with XAO::FS (see XAO::FS) as a database layer, but this is not a requrement -- if for any reason a different database must be used for a site it can be easily and gracefully achieved.
- Hosting providers can allow their customers to build very complex sites without allowing them to execute arbitrary code, by allowing to modify only templates.

dao-zero is a tiny Java bean used to reduce the source of a persistence tier based on Springs iBatis support. The usual way to use iBatis in Spring is to write code and invoke the iBatis API explicitly.

dao-zero invokes the iBatis API for the developer automatically, without the need to write implementation code. It will implement DAO interfaces automatically and invoke iBatis SQL mapped statements for you. You can use it to replace your DAO bean class directly.

TheLastRipper is an audio stream ripper for Last.fm.

TheLastRipper can save Last.fm streams to mp3s, while downloading album cover, appending ID3v1 tags and organizing you music after Artist/Album/Track.

TheLastRipper will also help you generate playlists from the data available from you Last.fm account. TheLastRipper requires a Last.fm login, you can regsiter for free at http://last.fm/

Please note that recordings of radio streams, may NOT be legal, we recommend that you investegate your local laws, before using TheLastRipper.

ePloy project is a eBay price plotter. This means it can analyze ended Auctions either inputted by the user or imported from myEbay (more methods like regex import, etc. will follow).
ePloy will take this list of AuctionIDs and check whether the Auctions have already ended and writes the endingprice into a Database. This "check" could be run as a cronjob for example. From this Database again you can generate graphs and display various information about the Auctions.
The main thing you have to know is: you need several ebay developer keys and a token. but dont run away - its not as bad as it sounds.

Its not as annoying as it may sound - although it _is_ a bit annoying. The developer.ebay.com site should be selfexplaining. first get your account with your three keys, then fill out the self certification form, get another 3 keys (enter those in ebay.ini ... see ebay.ini.example) and finally specify your regular ebay user account to the
developer.ebay.com website and finally get your token (kinda long - few lines)
By the way - no worries. this tool cannot destroy any ebay data or accidentially bid on something. even with the token you need to fill out another certification form (oh hell!) to get "write" access to ebay from the api.
Enhancements:
- This release is usable, but currently only on Unix.
- Windows support is still to come with the new plotter.

Poster provides a developer tool for interacting with web services and other web resources.

A developer tool for interacting with web services and other web resources that lets you make HTTP requests, set the entity body, and content type. This allows you to interact with web services and inspect the results.

After you install it, just go to View-Sidebar-Poster to open the tool as a sidebar. After that, try a GET or POST on your favorite web service or site.

Flatworm project is a Java library intended to allow a developer to describe the format of a flat file using an XML definition file, and then to be able to automatically read lines from that file, and have one or more beans be instantiated for each logical record.

There are a few powerful features in Flatworm worth mentioning. For one thing, a record may consist of one or more physical lines in the file. A record may contain more than one bean once decoded. A flat file may contain more than one type of record, and Flatworm can use line length and substring matching to determine which type of record a line begins.

Besides fielded buffer flat files, Flatworm also supports text files where the different fields are separated by a separator character, e.g. CSV (comma separated values) files.

Last but not least, Flatworm is able to produce flat files from beans and the same definition file.
