Coindesigner 1.3
Coindesigner is a RAD (rapid application development) system to build 3D applications using Coin3D openInventor. more>>
Coindesigner is a RAD (rapid application development) system to build 3D applications using Coin3D openInventor.
Coindesigner allows to write simple 3D scenarios just using drag&drop, so users require no programming acknoledges at all to use it.
Coindesigner is a system equivalent to glade or qt-designer, where we can choose components from the openInventor toolkit, add them somewhere in our scene and configure them in a very easy way... and all changes are applied to the scene on the fly!
Main features:
- Reads and write scenes in native openInventor file format
- Can import geometry from VRML, 3ds, DXF, OFF (from geomview), SMF, sphere trees .SPH and XYZ point clouds file formats.
- Can export geometry to file formats VRML2, SMF, OBJ, STL, OFF y XYZ.
- It allows to visualize volumetric data (such as medical CT) if SIM Voleon is available in your system.
- Makes some basic geometrical operations, as mesh reduction (with QSLIM) and convex hull computation.
- It includes cdsview, an minimalistic external viewer that allows you to view and distribute scenes without need of coindesigner.
- Provides helpers to define colors (with QColorDialog), file paths (with QFileDialog), menus for enumerated types and much more...
- Allows to use manips to configure Lights and Transform nodes. Just use the right mouse button to interchange between those nodes and their manip!
- GUI has been translated to English, Spanish and Portuguese
- Includes the complete coin reference and several tutorials directly brownsables from the application.
- Its as multiplatform as coin3d and Qt are. It works under Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows.
- Its open source released under GPL license.

DBDesigner Preview 2
DBDesigner is a program to create any visual design of MySQL databases. more>>
DBDesigner is a program to create any visual design of MySQL databases.
f you need to build complex SQL databases you will find DbDesigner quite a useful tool. It allows you to construct your DB in an intuitive and easy to use environment, where you have a visual representation of the tables and relations contained in your project.
You can quickly see the fields in a table or how each table relates to the others. After you are finished, DbDesigner can export the schema of the database into an .sql script, or directly connect to a database backend and build it there. It can also import already existing databases from .sql scripts or db backends.
Of course, it can save your project into its native format (XML) so all information is kept (for example you cant save the positions of the tables in the workspace into an .sql script). Due to its plugin architecture, DbDesigner is easily extensible to work with many database servers. By default it comes with 2 plugins: one for PostgreSQL and the other for MySQL.
On the other hand, if you are building complex databases you might have already seen products like this one. So you may ask why another visual database designer? Thats easy: because I havent seen one for the Linux platform so far. Somebody had to "scratch the itch" sometime...

IceWM Theme Designer 3.2
The IceWM Control Panel (IceWMCP) IcePref2 Theme Designer tool allows you to easily create and modify themes for IceWM. more>>
The IceWM Control Panel (IceWMCP) IcePref2 Theme Designer tool allows you to easily create and modify themes for IceWM.
IceWM Control Panel (IceWMCP) is the first full-featured, Gtk-based control panel for IceWM. It is meant to run in IceWM, but can be used in ANY window manager as a general-purpose control panel.
IceWMCP is multi-lingual. Currently, the following languages are supported: English, Spanish, Russian, Traditional Chinese, French (partial), and Finnish (IceWMCP-IceMe only).
Developers: If you would like to use IceWMCP as the foundation for a new control panel (for a new window manager, etc.), see the developers release of IceWMCP. IceWMCP was inspired by the Qt-based application called IceCC, but includes many more tools, a more familiar Windoze Control Panel-like interface, and uses the MUCH faster Gtk user interface (Who runs a fast Window Manager like IceWM, to launch SLOW-running, memory-intensive Qt/KDE-based applications?? I sure dont).
Lets face it: IceWM and fast Gtk interfaces work well together. In addition, because IceWM Control Panel is written with a TRUE open source widget set, Gtk+, you dont have to worry about the licensing problems associated with proprietary QT-based applications. IceWM Control Panel is TRUE open source, through and through.
Version restrictions:
- Access to a Bash shell (very important)
- Python (2.2 or better), PyGtk-2 (1.9.9/2.0.0 or better)
- Gtk+ 2.0.6 or better - neither Gnome nor PyGnome is required
- (IceWMCP versions 2.5 and earlier require Gtk+1 and PyGtk-1 0.6.9)
- Your version of PyGtk should have the Gdk-Pixbuf modules on your system
- Please run ALL IceWMCP programs from a BASH shell: Using other shells such as ksh, pdksh, csh, tcsh, etc. is likely to cause problems.
- If your IceWMCP programs have trouble launching other applications, it is most likely because you are using something other than a Bash (/bin/bash) shell.
- Run the programs from Bash...period!

Quill UI Designer 0.1-alpha1
Quill is a visual Web interface designer based on QuiX, Porcupines integrated XML User interface Language. more>>
Quill is a visual Web interface designer based on QuiX, Porcupines integrated XML User interface Language.
It took us quite longer than we expected but here it is. Quill is a visual web interface designer based on QuiX, Porcupines integrated XML User-Interface Language. We believe this is a major leap for the web interface design process, as it has become almost identical to this of a common desktop application.
This is an alpha release and as such there are a lot of missing features, but generally you can get things done a lot faster and easier than before. This release supports almost every QuiX widget, giving you full control over it, exhibiting all of its editable properties.

Test::Glade 1.0
Test::Glade is a simple way to test Gtk2::GladeXML-based apps. more>>
Test::Glade is a simple way to test Gtk2::GladeXML-based apps.
SYNOPSIS
use Test::Glade tests => 2;
my $glade_xml = interface.glade;
has_widget( $glade_xml, {
name => main_window,
type => GtkWindow,
properties => {
title => Test Application,
type => GTK_WINDOW_TOPLEVEL,
resizable => 1,
},
} );
has_widget( $glade_xml, {
type => GtkButton,
properties => {label => Press me!},
signals => {clicked => button_pressed_handler},
} );
GUIs are notoriously difficult to test. Historically this was well deserved as the available perl GUI toolkits did not encourage separation of the view and controller layers. The introduction of the Glade GUI designer and Gtk2::GladeXML changed that by segregating user interface and logical components (into GladeXML and Perl files respectively).
Users who avoid creating GUI elements from within their application logic can now test each layer separately with appropriate tools. The Perl logic can be verified with standard unit tests and this module provides a way to inspect and verify the GladeXML UI specification. You can confirm that a given widget exists, that it has the correct label and other attributes, that it will be correctly placed in the interface and that it will respond to signals as expected.

Domino Javadoc Generator 0.4
Domino Javadoc Generator project aims to create a documentation to the Lotus Notes API for Java. more>>
Domino Javadoc Generator project aims to create a documentation to the Lotus Notes API for Java in a standard format common in the Java comunity and accepted by the most IDEs for Java.
The Lotus Notes API is delivered as a Java archive together with the original documentation in the native format of a Domino database with the IBM Domino Designer. The documentation can be read only in the Lotus Notes. Java-oriented tools cannot use it to display a description of a Java class, to browse classes and their methods or to offer an automatic code insertion based on a Java object and its class.
The goal is to create a Javadoc documentation together with a pseudo-source code of the Lotus Notes API. The documentation can be viewed, indexed and integrated to IDEs. The pseudo-source code can be integrated to IDEs to support object browsing and automatic source code insertion.

Kejsare 0.1
Kejsare is an editor to create and modify WSGUI information. more>>
Kejsare is an editor to create and modify WSGUI information. WSGUI concepts are used to dynamically invoke web services in a human-friendly way.
The editor integrates with Qt Designer, translation tools and the Kung and Dynvoker invokers for previewing.
Formerly simply dubbed WSGUI Editor, Kejsare shows its relationship to Kung, the dynamic web service invocation tool currently part of KDE PIM. Kejsare makes it possible to create GUI hints even for non-technical users in order to make web service calls a more pleasant experience.
Licencing is currently GPL but in order to be used in KDE PIM, some parts will probably be changed to LGPL.
Editor source structure:
README - This file (doh!)
editor.pro - Top-level qmake build instructions (call qmake to create makefiles)
common - shared C++ classes
data - Example data
doc - Documentation with small handbook and installation hints
forms - Form elements abstraction layer with XML output (e.g. XForms)
guidd - GUIDD parser and object representation
message - Message editor for XML Schema files
service - Service editor for WSDL files
widgets - XForms plugins for the Qt designer
Enhancements:
- This will not build out of the box unless some libraries from KDE SVN are installed.

WAusers 0.1
WAusers is one component of the WAhelper Web accessibility testing suite. more>>
WAusers application is one component of the WAhelper Web accessibility testing suite.
WAusers serves for managing Web accessibility testing sites where users can register, create their own Web accessibility testing projects, and log into all their projects using a single global password.
Web pages are often designed without handicapped users in mind. Despite there exist Web accessibility guidelines such as W3C Accessibility Guidelines or U.S. Section 508 law, many Web designers are not aware about problems they cause to handicapped visitors of their pages. And even when a Web designer tries to make Web pages accessible, he may not be aware about all the obstacles handicapped users can meet.
- Software tools can be helpful here. Several Web accessibility checking tools already exist, but they have various problems:
Most of them are non-free and you cant use them freely to evaluate accessibility of your website effectively. Making things accessible means removing barriers and it is important to make the barriers as low as possible.
- New tests usually cant be added easily. An easily extensible and freely modifiable tool is needed so that its features can be improved efficiently. A good and maintained tool can make the whole process of making Web pages accessible more effective.
- The tools often dont try to go beyond semi-automated tests. But there are many accessibility problems which cant be detected, diagnosed and reported without human assistance. A tool helping humans with the testing process is needed.
