WSDL::Generator 0.02

WSDL::Generator 0.02

WSDL::Generator is a Perl module to generate wsdl file automagically. more>>
WSDL::Generator is a Perl module to generate wsdl file automagically.

SYNOPSIS

use WSDL::Generator;
my $wsdl = WSDL::Generator->new($init);
Foo->a_method($param};
print $wsdl->get(Foo);

You know folks out there who use another language than Perl (huh?) and you want to release a SOAP server for them

1/ thats very kind of you
2/ you need to generate a wsdl file
3/ this module can help

Because Perl is dynamically typed, it is a fantastic language to write SOAP clients, but that makes perl not-so-easy to use as SOAP server queried by statically typed languages such as Delphi, Java, C++, VB...

These languages need a WSDL file to communicate with your server.
The WSDL file contains all the data structure definition necessary to interact with the server.

It contains also the namespace and URL as well.

TCPreen 1.4.2

TCPreen 1.4.2

TCP Re-engineering Tool monitors and analyzes data transmitted between a client and a server via a TCP connection. more>>
TCPreen is a simple tool to monitor and analyze data transmitted between clients and servers through connection-oriented streams data such as a TCP sessions; it supports TCP over either IPv4 or IPv6. This tool focuses on the data stream (software/socket layer), not on the lower level transmission protocol as packet sniffers do.

TCPreen listens on a TCP port and wait for incoming connections to come in. Then, it forwards data sent by the connecting client to another server port (possibly on another computer) and forwards server responses back to the client.

TCPreen can display data on your console in real-time and/or save it to log files for later reference. Various display formats are available.

While it was originally meant to help developers reverse-engineer TCP-based protocols, it can also be very useful to debug network server or client software or for a system administrator to monitor a TCP service.

Blogbench 1.0

Blogbench 1.0

Blogbench is a portable filesystem benchmark. more>>
Blogbench is a portable filesystem benchmark that tries to reproduce the load of a real-world busy file server.

It stresses the filesystem with multiple threads performing random reads, writes and rewrites in order to get a realistic idea of the scalability and the concurrency a system can handle.

Blogbench was initially designed to mimic the behavior of the Skyblog.com
blog service.

4 different types of threads are started:

- The writers. They create new blogs (directories) with a random amount of
fake articles and fake pictures.

- The rewriters. They add or they modify articles and pictures of existing
blogs.

- The "commenters". They add fake comments to existing blogs in random order.

- The readers. They read articles, pictures and comments of random blogs. They
sometimes even try to access non-existent files.

New files are written atomically. The content is pushed with 8 Kb chunks in a
temporary file that gets renamed if everything completes. 8 Kb is the default
PHP buffer size for writes.

Reads are performed with a 64 Kb buffer.

Concurrent writers and rewriters can quickly create fragmentation if the
preallocation is not optimal. But it is very interesting to check how
different filesystems reacts to fragmentation.

Every blog is a new directory withing the same parent directory. Since some
filesystems are unable to manage more than 32k or 64k links to the same
directory (an example is UFS), you should not force the test to run a silly
amount of time on these filesystems.

DFBTerm 0.8.0

DFBTerm 0.8.0

DFBTerm project is a terminal application for DirectFB. more>>
DFBTerm project is a terminal application for DirectFB.
It uses LiTE (LiTE is a Toolkit Engine) and has a very nice anti aliased fixed width font.
The simplest way to compile this package is:
1. `cd to the directory containing the packages source code and type `./configure to configure the package for your system. If youre using `csh on an old version of System V, you might need to type `sh ./configure instead to prevent `csh from trying to execute `configure itself.
Running `configure takes awhile. While running, it prints some messages telling which features it is checking for.
2. Type `make to compile the package.
3. Optionally, type `make check to run any self-tests that come with the package.
4. Type `make install to install the programs and any data files and documentation.
5. You can remove the program binaries and object files from the source code directory by typing `make clean. To also remove the files that `configure created (so you can compile the package for a different kind of computer), type `make distclean. There is also a `make maintainer-clean target, but that is intended mainly for the packages developers. If you use it, you may have to get all sorts of other programs in order to regenerate files that came with the distribution.
Enhancements:
- Fixed fusion_object_destroy() for calls outside the object destructor.

PHPBench 0.8.1

PHPBench 0.8.1

PHPBench provides a benchmark suite for PHP. more>>
PHPBench provides a benchmark suite for PHP.
It performs a large number of simple tests in order to bench various
aspects of the PHP interpreter.
PHPBench can be used to compare hardware, operating systems, PHP versions, PHP accelerators and caches, compiler options, etc.
Custom tests can be easily added to the suite.
In order to get accurate results, every test is evaluated more than once.
By defaut, tests are evaluated 100000 times, or multiples of that value for
some tests that are known to be CPU-expensive or other tests that are known to be very fast.
If you have slow hardware or very fast hardware, you can change the number
of iterations, with the -i switch:
./phpbench.php -i 5000
he score you get when the benchmark completes is a ratio between the number of iterations and the total time that was needed to perform all tests.
Thus, the score should be independant of the number of iterations, but the higher number you use, the more accuracy you will get.
Enhancements:
- The regression test of test_bitwise has been fixed for 64-bits CPUs.
