IRCM 1.42
IRCM is a webbased Incident Registration and Configuration Management tool. more>>
IRCM is a webbased Incident Registration and Configuration Management tool that supports helpdesk operations in an ICT-environment.
With IRCM, helpdesk agents can register and dispatch service calls. These calls can be related to agents, customers, SLA-defined activities, devices, incoming or outgoing mail and timers. Service levels are guarded depending on call type, call status and service window.
The customers infrastructure is managed in the configuration management module, providing full 2D-tracing through related devices.
IRCM is protected by GNU/GPL and is available for download on this site.
IRCM supports multiple customers, helpdesks, Service Level Agreements, mailboxes etc in one database. If multiple databases are used (e.g. to separate customer data) the user can switch dynamically between databases within the browser window.
For configuration management, a black-box approach is used. This maximizes flexibility in modelling the customer infrastructure. The only predefined (system) entity is the user, all other entities and their properties are defined per customer. Hierarchical relations between configuration items can be displayed in a 2D overview.
A valuable aspect of IRCM is that you dont have to use the features summed up here. If you want to use the Configuration Management module as an address book and want Incident Registration to be a todo list, you wont be punished with overhead.
Main features:
- Multiple customers
- Multiple Service Level definitions (incident types, resolv time, SLA defined activities)
- Multiple users and customizable incident queues.
- IMAP based mail (Exchange)
- Multilevel authentication, authorisation and logging
- Report designer module
- 2D-trace based patching
- Bulk data import and export
- Client Link Module (real time events, timers and messaging)
- Callcenter linkable

Xsnow 1.42
Xsnow is the X-windows application that will let it snow on the root, in between and on windows. more>>
Xsnow application is the X-windows application that will let it snow on the root, in between and on windows.
Santa and his reindeer will complete your festive-season feeling.
How to compile:
To build:
xmkmf
make depend
make
To run:
./xsnow
or:
./xsnow& (in the background)
To install (be root):
make install
make install.man
If xmkmf does not work and you cannot get a working Makefile that way then try compiling yourself, eh, xsnow this way:
cc -o xsnow snow.c -lXext -lX11 -lXpm -lm -lsocket -lnsl
gcc, SUN Solaris users without a C-compiler, but with gcc installed, try the following two commands. The first compiles Xsnow, the second links Xsnow.
gcc -c -O2 -I/usr/openwin/include -DSVR4 -DSYSV xsnow.c
gcc -o xsnow xsnow.o -O2 -L/usr/openwin/lib -lXext -lX11 -lXpm -lm -lsocket -lnsl
Note: Xsnow-1.41 needs the Xpm library. It is available from:
ftp://ftp.x.org/contrib/libraries/
The current Xpm version is xpm3.4k
Enhancements:
- All you KDE-users can now be even happier with a KDE-enabled Xsnow 1.42!
- The snow will magnificently wipe out your icons, but not to worry, theyre not really gone.
- By wiping with a window or something you can make them reappear.
- Car owners are used to this for years. Thanks to Robin Hogan who figured this out for xpenguin.

ADOdb Lite 1.42
ADOdb Lite is a small, fast replacement for ADODB that uses 1/6th of the memory and is up to 300% faster. more>>
ADOdb Lite is a small, fast replacement for ADODB that uses 1/6th of the memory and is up to 300% faster, while being compatible with a subset of the most commonly used ADODB commands.
ADOdb Lite supports Frontbase, MaxDB, MiniSql, MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, and Sybase.
Enhancements:
Added:
SQLdate function to the date module for the fbsql, maxdb, msql and obdc databases.
Added:
loadObjectList function to the object module. This will build an array list of all objects.
Added:
Maugrim the Reapers conversion of the ADOdb Performance Module for the MySql, Mysqli and Mysqlt drivers.
Fixed:
Changed if ($resultId === true) in the do_query() function to if (@pg_numfields( $resultId ) forcenewconnection) in the _makeconnection() function to if(!$this->forcenewconnection) in all Postgres drivers. Thanks to Dmitry (thedix) for the fix.
Fixed:
Removed else in adodb_mktime function in the adodb-time.inc.php program to fix a month calculation error. Thanks to jgarces for submitting the fix.
Fixed:
Changed var _obj; to var $_obj; and var _names; to var $_names; in the generic object module.
Fixed:
Changed user ro username on line 40 in the adodb-exceptions.inc.php. Thanks to Harry S. Kartono for finding the error and providing the fix.
Fixed:
mysql and mysqlt drivers should use the $this->connectionId when executing the mysql_real_escape_stringfunction in the $db->qstr function.
Fixed:
mssql date module had a misplaced bracket causing it to fail.
Changed:
All drivers - fields result set function will return the entire array if the $fields variable is empty.
Enhancements:
- Query tracking was added for performance testing.
- There are three new database array variables: $db->query_list, $db->query_list_time, and $db->query_list_errors.
- These variables will contain every processed query and the time it took to process the query for the current instance of the database object.
- This will allow easy tracking of every query on any page and the amount of time it took to execute each query.
- In all drivers, a return variable by reference error was fixed when returning an empty record set.

Term::ANSIScreen is a superset of Term::ANSIColor (as of version 1.04 of that module). In addition to color-sequence generating subroutines exported by :color and :constants, this module also features :cursor for cursor positioning, :screen for screen control, as well as :keyboard for key mapping.
NOTES
All subroutines in Term::ANSIScreen will print its return value if called under a void context.
The cursor position, current color, screen mode and keyboard mappings affected by Term::ANSIScreen will last after the program terminates. You might want to reset them before the end of your program.

Audio::TagLib 1.42

Audio::TagLib is a library for reading and editing audio meta data, commonly known as tags.
SYNOPSIS
use Audio::TagLib;
use warnings;
use strict;
my $f = Audio::TagLib::FileRef->new("Latex Solar Beef.mp3");
my $artist = $f->tag()->artist();
print $artist->toCString(), "n"; # got "Frank Zappa"
$f->tag()->setAlbum(Audio::TagLib::String->new("Fillmore East"));
$f->save();
my $g = Audio::TagLib::FileRef->new("Free City Rhymes.ogg");
my $album = $g->tag()->album();
print $album->toCString(), "n"; # got "NYC Ghosts & Flowers"
$g->tag()->setTrack(1);
$g->save();
Note that these high level functions work for Ogg, FLAC, MPC and MP3 (or any other formats supported in the future). For this high level API, which is suitable for most applications, the differences between tag and file formats can all be ignored.
Some goals of TagLib: - A clean, high level, C++ API to handling audio meta data. - Support for at least ID3v1, ID3v2 and Ogg Vorbis comments. - A generic, simple API for the most common tagging related functions. - Binary compatibility between minor releases using the standard KDE/Qt techniques for C++ binary compatibility. - Make the tagging framework extensible by library users; i.e. it will be possible for libarary users to implement additional ID3v2 frames, without modifying the TagLib source (through the use of Abstract Factories and such.
Because TagLib desires to be toolkit agnostic, in hope of being widely adopted and the most flexible in licensing TagLib provides many of its own toolkit classes; in fact the only external dependancy that TagLib has, it a semi-sane STL implementation.

Audio::TagLib::Tag 1.42
Audio::TagLib::Tag is a simple, generic interface to common audio meta data fields. more>>
Audio::TagLib::Tag is a simple, generic interface to common audio meta data fields.
This is an attempt to abstract away the difference in the meta data formats of various audio codecs and tagging schemes. As such it is generally a subset of what is available in the specific formats but should be suitable for most applications. This is meant to complient the generic APIs found in Audio::TagLib::AudioProperties, Audio::TagLib::File and Audio::TagLib::FileRef.
DESTROY()
Detroys this Tag instance.
String title() [pure virtual]
Returns the track name; if no track name is present in the tag String::null will be returned.
String artist() [pure virtual]
Returns the artist name; if no artist name is present in the tag String::null will be returned.
String album() [pure virtual]
Returns the album name; if no album name is present in the tag String::null will be returned.
String comment() [pure virtual]
Returns the track comment; if no comment is present in the tag String::null will be returned.
String genre() [pure virtual]
Returns the genre name; if no genre is present in the tag String::null will be returned.
UV year() [pure virtual]
Returns the year; if there is no year set, this will return 0.
UV track() [pure virtual]
Returns the track number; if there is no track number set, this will return 0.
void setTitle(String $s) [pure virtual]
Sets the title to $s. If $s is String::null() then this value will be cleared.
void setArtist(String $s) [pure virtual]
Sets the artist to $s. If $s is String::null() then this value will be cleared.
void setAlbum(String $s) [pure virtual]
Sets the album to $s. If $s is String::null() then this value will be cleared.
void setComment(String $s) [pure virtual]
Sets the comment to $s. If $s is String::null() then this value will be cleared.
void setGenre(String $s) [pure virtual]
Sets the genre to $s. If $s is String::null() then this value will be cleared. For tag formats that use a fixed set of genres, the appropriate value will be selected based on a string comparison. A list of available genres for those formats should be available in that types implementation.
void setYear(UV $i) [pure virtual]
Sets the year to $i. If $i is 0 then this value will be cleared.
void setTrack(UV $i) [pure virtual]
Sets the track to $i. If $i is 0 then this value will be cleared.
void duplicate(Tag $source, Tag $target, BOOL $overwrite = TRUE) [static]
Copies the generic data from one tag to another.
NOTE This will no affect any of the lower level details of the tag. For instance if any of the tag type specific data (maybe a URL for a band) is set, this will not modify or copy that. This just copies using the API in this class.
If $overwrite is true then the values will be unconditionally copied. If false only empty values will be overwritten.

Audio::TagLib::File 1.42
Audio::TagLib::File is a file class with some useful methods for tag manipulation. more>>
Audio::TagLib::File is a file class with some useful methods for tag manipulation.
This class is a basic file class with some methods that are particularly useful for tag editors. It has methods to take advantage of ByteVector and a binary search method for finding patterns in a file.
DESTROY()
Destroys this File instance.
PV name()
Returns the file name in the local file system encoding.
Tag tag() [pure virtual]
Returns this files tag. This should be reimplemented in the concrete subclasses.
AudioProperties audioProperties() [pure virtual]
Returns this files audio properties. This should be reimplemented in the concrete subclasses. If no audio properties were read then this will return undef.
BOOL save() [pure virtual]
Save the file and its associated tags. This should be reimplemented in the concrete subclasses. Returns true if the save succeeds.
ByteVector readBlock(UV $length)
Reads a block of size $length at the current get pointer.
void writeBlock(ByteVector $data)
Attempts to write the block $data at the current get pointer. If the file is currently only opened read only -- i.e. readOnly() returns true -- this attempts to reopen the file in read/write mode.
IV find(ByteVector $pattern, IV $fromOffset = 0, ByteVector $before = ByteVector::null)
Returns the offset in the file that $pattern occurs at or -1 if it can not be found. If $before is set, the search will only continue until the pattern $before is found. This is useful for tagging purposes to search for a tag before the synch frame.
Searching starts at $fromOffset, which defaults to the beginning of the file.
This has the practial limitation that $pattern can not be longer than the buffer size used by readBlock(). Currently this is 1024 bytes.
IV rfind(ByteVector $pattern, IV $fromOffset = 0, ByteVector $before = ByteVector::null)
Returns the offset in the file that $pattern at or -1 if it can not be found. If $before is set, the search will only continue until the pattern $before is found. This is useful for tagging purposes to search for a tag before the synch frame.
Searching starts at $fromOffset and proceeds from the that point to the beginning of the file and defaults to the end of the file.
This has the practial limitation that $pattern can not be longer than the buffer size used by readBlock(). Currently this is 1024 bytes.
void insert(ByteVector $data, UV $start = 0, UV $replace = 0)
Insert $data at position $start in the file overwriting $replace bytes of the original content.
This method is slow since it requires rewriting all of the file after the insertion point.
void removeBlock(UV $start = 0, UV $length = 0)
Removes a block of the file starting a $start and continuing for $length bytes.
This method is slow since it involves rewriting all of the file after the removed portion.
BOOL readOnly()
Returns true if the file is read only (or if the file can not be opened).
BOOL isOpen()
Since the file can currently only be opened as an argument to the constructor (sort-of by design), this returns if that open succeeded.
BOOL isValid()
Returns true if the file is open and readble and valid information for the Tag and / or AudioProperties was found.
void seek(IV $offset, PV $p = "Beginning")
Move the I/O pointer to $offset in the file from position $p. This defaults to seeking from the beginning of the file.
void clear()
Reset the end-of-file and error flags on the file.
IV tell()
Returns the current offset withing the file.
IV length()
Returns the length of the file.
BOOL isReadable(PV $file) [static]
Returns true if $file can be opened for reading. If the file does not exist, this will return false.
BOOL isWritable(PV $file) [static]
Returns true if $file can be opened for writing.

Nightfall 1.62
Nightfall is a eclipsing binary star program. more>>
Nightfall is an astronomy application for fun, education, and science. It can produce animated views of eclipsing binary stars, calculate synthetic lightcurves and radial velocity curves, and eventually determine the best-fit model for a given set of observational data of an eclipsing binary star system. Nightfall is, however, not able to fry your breakfast egg on your harddisk.
Nightfall comes with a user guide, and a set of observational data for several eclipsing binary star systems.
Nightfall is a mildly ultramundane code of baroque complexity (I like Verdi and Haendel on lazy sunday mornings - friday evenings are better with Iron Maiden and a good whisky).
Nightfall is based on a physical model that takes into account the nonspherical shape of stars in close binary systems, as well as mutual irradiance of both stars, and a number of additional physical effects.
Nightfall can handle a large range of configurations, including overcontact (common envelope) systems, eccentric (non-circular) orbits, surface spots and asynchroneous rotation (stars rotating slower or faster than the orbital period), and the possible existence of a third star in the system (third light).
Nightfall is distributed under the terms of the GNU Public License and comes without any warranty.
Installation
gunzip -c nightfall-1.42.tar.gz | tar -xvf -
cd nightfall-1.42/
./DoInstall.sh
DoInstall.sh is an interactive shell script to guide you through the installation. If you prefer to do it by hand, use the following sequence of commands:
gunzip -c nightfall-1.42.tar.gz | tar -xvf -
cd nightfall-1.42/
./configure
make
make install
Enhancements:
- This version fixes a bug in the configuration file parser that caused the disk to be switched on even if no disk was specified in the configuration file.
