GetDP 1.2.0

GetDP 1.2.0

GetDP is a general finite element solver using mixed elements to discretize de Rham-type complexes in one, two, and three dimensions.
GetDP has features like closeness between the input data defining discrete problems (written by the user in ASCII data files) and the symbolic mathematical expressions of these problems.
Enhancements:
- This release simplifies the parser by using standard loops instead of the multi-index constructs, and removes the Cygwin dependency for the Windows version.

De-interlace 1.01

De-interlace 1.01

De-interlace plug-in does a simple interpolation between the odd or even fields in an image to correct this. more>>
When an image is taken from a video capture source (f.i. a freeze-frame), sometimes only either the odd or the even fields in the frame get captured, resulting in an image which, line by line, is data-black-data-black-etc.

De-interlace plug-in does a simple interpolation between the odd or even fields in an image to correct this.

AnyData 0.10

AnyData 0.10

AnyData is a Perl module that allows easy access to data in many formats. more>>
AnyData is a Perl module that allows easy access to data in many formats.

SYNOPSIS

$table = adTie( CSV,my_db.csv,o, # create a table
{col_names=>name,country,sex}
);
$table->{Sue} = {country=>de,sex=>f}; # insert a row
delete $table->{Tom}; # delete a single row
$str = $table->{Sue}->{country}; # select a single value
while ( my $row = each %$table ) { # loop through table
print $row->{name} if $row->{sex} eq f;
}
$rows = $table->{{age=>> 25}} # select multiple rows
delete $table->{{country=>qr/us|mx|ca/}}; # delete multiple rows
$table->{{country=>Nz}}={country=>nz}; # update multiple rows
my $num = adRows( $table, age=>< 25 ); # count matching rows
my @names = adNames( $table ); # get column names
my @cars = adColumn( $table, cars ); # group a column
my @formats = adFormats(); # list available parsers
adExport( $table, $format, $file, $flags ); # save in specified format
print adExport( $table, $format, $flags ); # print to screen in format
print adDump($table); # dump table to screen
undef $table; # close the table

adConvert( $format1, $file1, $format2, $file2 ); # convert btwn formats
print adConvert( $format1, $file1, $format2 ); # convert to screen

The rather wacky idea behind this module and its sister module DBD::AnyData is that any data, regardless of source or format should be accessable and modifiable with the same simple set of methods. This module provides a multi-dimensional tied hash interface to data in a dozen different formats. The DBD::AnyData module adds a DBI/SQL interface for those same formats.
Both modules provide built-in protections including appropriate flocking() for all I/O and (in most cases) record-at-a-time access to files rather than slurping of entire files.

Currently supported formats include general format flatfiles (CSV, Fixed Length, etc.), specific formats (passwd files, httpd logs, etc.), and a variety of other kinds of formats (XML, Mp3, HTML tables). The number of supported formats will continue to grow rapidly since there is an open API making it easy for any author to create additional format parsers which can be plugged in to AnyData itself and thereby be accessible by either the tiedhash or DBI/SQL interface.

The AnyData.pm module itself is pure Perl and does not depend on anything other than modules that come standard with Perl. Some formats and some advanced features require additional modules: to use the remote ftp/http features, you must have the LWP bundle installed; to use the XML format, you must have XML::Parser and XML::Twig installed; to use the HTMLtable format for reading, you must have HTML::Parser and HTML::TableExtract installed but you can use the HTMLtable for writing with just the standard CGI module. To use DBI/SQL commands, you must have DBI, DBD::AnyData, SQL::Statement and DBD::File installed.

vcr 1.10

vcr 1.10

vcr is a text-console video recorder. more>>
VCR is a program which enables you to record a program using a video grabber card thats supported by the video4linux drivers. It doesnt require a graphical environment, and you can use all popupular windows codecs (like DivX, Indeo Video 5, etc) because VCR is built around the avifile library.
Now, you can finally record your favourite program from a remote place, because Murphys law dictates that you remember to record it when youre as far away from your home as possible...
System requirements:
- Depending on the codec used, a fast CPU (My celeron-466 CPU copes well enough to record divx low-motion @ 25fps, just occasional frame drops)
- Diskspace (you can never have enough of that!)
- Avifile library: http://divx.euro.ru/
- XawTV: http://www.strusel007.de/linux/xawtv/ (you can do without, but if you want to use tuner presets, you want to read the manual on how to make a .xawtv config file)
- Aumix: http://jpj.net/~trevor/aumix.html (Its not required either, but its very useful to set the recording device for your soundcard (which you probably want if you want to record sound from the soundcards line-in!))
Enhancements:
- Updated source to match avifile-0.7.37, and possibly beyond.
- New configuration directive vflip, with which you can flip the image vertically.
- Support for custom sound device (config file directive sound-device)
- Applied patches from debian/unstable that fix some outstanding bugs and include other improvements. Thanks guys, you rock!
- A/V Syncing improved for longer recordings, thanks to a tip from Alexander Rawass.

SRESI 0.19.10

SRESI 0.19.10

SRESI is a smart bookmarks manager: from a list of tagged bookmarks. more>>
SRESI is a smart bookmarks manager: from a list of tagged bookmarks, it can generate an exhaustive tree or a portal, where each bookmark is at every place in the hierarchy you can expect to find it, and with absurd branches absorbed back in their saner versions.
An import function is provided for the most common formats (Delicious, Mozilla, Opera, XBEL).
SRESIs main interface is command-line based, but a set of PHP scripts now gives an easier access to most functions. Be aware, however, that these scripts are not safe enough for a public server
If, despite all warnings, you are still interested, be welcome.
Oh, by the way, SRESI stands for Stockage, Recherche et Export de Signets Internet (Storage, Search and Export of Internet Bookmarks). Not great, but the few good ideas I managed to scrounge up were already taken.
Enhancements:
- The tagged data module now requires a "hash" function instead of a "compare" one.
- The Tagging functions and functors are now perfectly generic from the set up to the portal.
- Bookmarks.ml is now built those generic functors.
- The massive refactoring left the code in a messy state.
- The APIs are currently quite raw and will change soon.
