Dasher is a zooming predictive text entry system, designed for situations where keyboard input is impractical (for instance, accessibility or PDAs).

Dasher is usable with highly limited amounts of physical input while still allowing high rates of text entry.

Dasher is Free software released under the GPL. Further documentation may be found in the Doc/ subdirectory.

Quarters Board Game project is a strategy game for two players.

Although its rules are relatively simple, it still offers some of the same opportunities for skill as in chess.

This program was originally conceived in the summer of 1986 during a study of the mini-max algorithm for chess playing computers, and was thus designed to offer some of the same type of strategies.

The game was originally written in BASIC, then ported to Turbo Pascal, then to C, and finally to Java.

The Java version is not necessarily object oriented, since it is a crude port from the C version.

Xchangeboard is forum software based on PHP and MySQL. The project offers an easy way of administration to handle design and/or user-specific tasks. The look and feel resembles other well known boards.
Enhancements:
- An issue has been fixed that allowed a user to conduct SQL injection attacks when the option magic_quotes_gpc was turned of.
- Some new features and improvements were implemented, and some other small bugs have been fixed.

Bazooka Board is a PHP bulletin board that does not require MySQL. It uses nothing just a single text-file on your web server for its data storage.
Bazooka Board was created to help serve those who have PHP webspace, but no MySQL database support. Its goal is to be extreemly simple to setup, and easy enough that even computer-illiterate people can use it.

Eprayer is a prayer request script that is easy to install and customize. It requires a MySQL database, but also creates a flat file for exporting into Excel.

Psunami Bulletin Board is an Open Source alternative to the popular Ultimate Bulletin Board software, and aims for speed, ease of use, and a full feature set.

For installation, do the following:

1)Recursively copy everything from ./cgi-bin/ into your servers cgi-bin/ directory.

2)Recursively chown (chown -R) the psunami/ directory to the user that your web server uses (www-data on Debian, nobody on Slack, httpd on RHat-based systems (Ive been told that it is nobody on someRHat systems), wwwrun on SuSE. Anyone know what it is for others?) If you are unable to chown (eg. you are not the superuser) then make sure it is all readable/writable by the user (777 works, but is probably much too generous). Also do this to the psunami.conf file in cgi-bin.

3)Make psunami.cgi, psunami_admin.cgi, and psunami_moderate.cgi executable by the user that your web server uses. (chmod u+x *.cgi)

4)Change the paths to your perl executable if necessary. The paths are at the top of psunami.cgi, psunami_moderate.pl, and psunami_admin.cgi and default to /usr/bin/perl. Type which perl at a command prompt if you dont know where the executable is.

5)Run psunami_admin.cgi and create a new board. The initial login is psunami and the password is bulletin (no quotes).

6)Make sure that your mail program is configured properly in the preferences. It defaults to /usr/bin/sendmail.

7)Once you have created an account for yourself and given it admin rights, make sure you delete the psunami user.

Bulletin Board News Server provides a (v)Bulletin Board NNTP interface.

Bulletin Board News Server is a (relatively) quick NNTP interface for vBulletin. It reads directly from the MySQL DB and is therefore independent of the Web frontend.

It doesnt alter read counters, but "forbidden names", name size limitations, user authentication, and anonymous posting (through a "usenet" user) are implemented.

Registered users (either in the vboard or through a proprietary pw hash in the config file) can see the email addresses of others, as far as the owners permit it.

dxr3Player is a lightweight, command-line DVD player for Linux and the DXR3 (aka Hollywood+) MPEG-2 decoder boards. This software supports all major DVD features, including: menus, navigation, fast forward and backward playback, subtitles and camera angle changes.
The player is very conservative on memory usage and tries very hard (and mostly succeeds) to keep video and audio in sync.
dxr3Player also plays DVDs on any X Window System display using the Simple DirectMedia Layer (SDL) library.
The software relies on the following other pieces of software:
- The dxr3 (em8300) drivers developed for Linux by the dxr3 project at Sourceforge. It is needed to access the decoder board.
- The libmpdvdkit library from MPlayer (which is actually a modified copy of the libdvdread and libdvdcss libraries). It is incorporated into the sources, and is used to access the DVDs.
- The liba52 library also from MPlayer (which is actually a modified copy of liba52, an A-52 decoding library). It is incorporated into the sources, and is used to decode AC-3 audio streams.
- If you turn on LIRC support, the LIRC library.
- If you want to play MPEG audio, the MAD library.
- The Simple DirectMedia Layer library for displaying on an X Window display without hardware support.
- The libmpeg2 library for decoding MPEG video streams when not using the DXR3 board or the Unichrome chipset.
