Inkscapes main motivation is to provide the Open Source community with a fully XML, SVG, and CSS2 compliant SVG drawing tool.
Additional planned work includes conversion of the codebase from C/Gtk to C++/Gtkmm, emphasizing a lightweight core with powerful features added through an extension mechanism, and establishment of a friendly, open, community-oriented development processes.

OSSP shiela is an access control and logging facility for use with the Concurrent Versions System (CVS). OSSP shiela is intended to be hooked into CVSs processing through the $CVSROOT/CVSROOT/xxxinfo callbacks.
This way OSSP shiela provides access control on a path and branch basis to particular repository users and user groups. Additionally, repository operations are monitored, accumulated and logged.
The lookout of logging messages can be configured individually on a module path and branch basis and messages can be both saved to files and/or delivered by Email.

- The string class is now both an interface and an implementation, so parallel implementations (e.g., a glib string wrapper) can be created.
- Detection of Imlib2 support and a pixmap leak when it was disabled have been fixed.
- Fixes have been made for gcc4/newer autotools.
- This release also contains a fix for CVE-2006-0224, a buffer overflow which could lead to privilege escalation in setuid/setgid apps using LibASTs configuration engine.

GDM is the GNOME Display Manager is the graphical login manager.
The GNOME Display Manager is a reimplementation of the well known xdm program. GDM consists of a daemon and a graphical login application which runs as an unpriviledged user.
The login GUI features a face browser, an optional logo, and language/session type selection support. The daemon includes an XDMCP implementation for managing remote displays. Access control relies on TCPWrappers.

The BIND consists of a server (or `daemon) called `named and a resolver library.
A name server is a network service that enables clients to name resources or objects and share this information with other objects in the network.
BIND 8.4.5 is the latest version of ISC BIND 8; it is a maintenance release to BIND 8.4.0, which provides IPv6 transport support for named, named-xfer and ndc. It also includes the BIND 8.4.2 release which includes a security fix which prevents negative answers being cached from the wrong source. (also released as BIND 8.3.7).
