Gcdmaster is a front-end to cdrdao the CD mastering software.
Gcdmaster is the GNOME2 GUI front-end to cdrdao that makes it easy to visualize and manipulate audio information before burning it onto CD.
Its features include: cut/copy/paste of sound samples, track marks edition and silence insertion. Writes audio CD-Rs in disc-at-once (DAO) mode allowing control over pre-gaps (length down to 0, nonzero audio data) and sub-channel information like ISRC codes and CDTEXT. GCDMaster also supports on-the-fly CD copying.

The mjpeg programs are a set of tools that can do recording of videos and playback, simple cut-and-paste editing and the MPEG compression of audio and video under Linux.
Recording is supported for the Zoran based cards like the Buz (Iomega), DC10 (MIRO, Pinnacle), Matrox Marvel cards and the LML33 (Linux Media Labs). See related pages to the right to find the right driver for your card.
The recorded videos can be converted to MPEG streams. The software playback of MPEG streams works with almost every player and every OS.
You can produce special forms of MPEG streams like VCD (Video CD) and SVCD for hardware playback.
A key design objective of the tools is interoperability with other video tools:
The tools can be used used to edit, playback and compress motion JPEG (MJPEG) AVIs captured using the xawtv package.
The tools can be used to edit playback and compress MJPEG streams created and editted with broadcast 2000. N.b. the current mpeg2movie high bit-rate MPEG encoder is in large part derived from an obsolescent snapshot of the mjpegtools MPEG encoder.
Enhancements:
- changes in YUV4MPEG2 API to offer support for multiple colorspaces (particularly useful for DV video), so that multiple planar YUV formats (also monochrome or alpha) are supported.
- most filtering tools have been adapted to support multiple YUV formats, so that you will not lose quality/precision in conversion steps.

*) yuvdeinterlace (intelligent deinterlacing program)

*) Utilities to convert raw (headerless) YUV data to and from YUV4MPEG2 format. Useful when interfacing with other program suites.
*) Program (yuyvtoy4m) to convert 4:2:2 data from digital cameras into YUV4MPEG2 format for use with mjpegtools.
*) y4mstabilizer for stabilizing images with unsteady camera work
- Improvements and fixes in mplex for handling PCM audio (LPCM audio actually works now)
- DPME (Dual Prime Motion Estimation) in the encoder (mpeg2enc) is fully functional (it was present but buggy/artifacted in the earlier releases)
- Rate control in the encoder improved considerably.
- Much better Quicktime file handling (via libquicktime) especially the audio tracks.
- Besides the always-excellent x86 support, we now have full support for AMD64 (including MMX/SSE/etc. optimizations) and for PPC (e.g. Linux or OS/X), and win32 support is also available (via Cygwin/Mingw).

GNU Paint (gpaint) is a simple, easy-to-use paint program for GNOME, the GNU Desktop. Gpaint starts as a port of xpaint and takes advantages of features unique to the GNOME environment. The project is licensed under the GNU GPL, version 2 or later.
Main features:
- Drawing tools--ovals, freehand, polygon, text, with fill or shallow for polygons and closed freehand.

Danpei is a Gtk+ based Image Viewer, works on X-Window system.
Danpei allows you to browse through your image files in thumbnail form, and it can rename, cut, and paste them easily with an interface similar to that of Windows Explorer.
It is distributed under the GNU General Public License.

- You can rename your image files very easily only by changing their file names in entries, looking through them in Thumbnail format.
- This is very convenient when arranging the pictures taken in from your digital camera.

- Created thumbnails are cached, and from next time, Danpei will display them quickly.

Cadabra is a computer algebra system for the manipulation of what could loosely be called tensorial expressions.
Cadabra is aimed at, though not necessarily restricted to, theoretical high-energy physicists. Because of its target audience, the programs interface, storage system and underlying philosophy differ substantially from other computer algebra systems.
Main features:
- Usage of a TeX-like notation, which eliminates many errors in transcribing problems from paper to computer and back.
- Built-in understanding of dummy indices and dummy symbols, including their automatic relabelling when necessary. Powerful algorithms for canonicalisation of objects with index symmetries, both mono-term and multi-term.
- A typing system through properties, but freedom to dispense with this system entirely when it is not needed.
- A new way to deal with products of non-commuting objects, enabling a notation which is identical to standard physicists notation (i.e. no need for special non-commuting product operators).
- A flexible optional undo system. Interactive calculations can be undone to arbitrary level without requiring a full re-evaluation of the entire calculation.
- A simple and documented way to add new algorithms in the form of C++ modules, which directly operate on the internal expression tree.

Boa Constructor is a cross platform Python IDE and wxPython GUI Builder. It offers visual frame creation and manipulation, an object inspector, many views on the source like object browsers, inheritance hierarchies, doc string generated html documentation, an advanced debugger and integrated help.
Zope support: Object creation and editing. Cut, copy, paste, import and export. Property creation and editing in the Inspector and Python Script debugging.
It is written in Python and uses the wxPython library which wraps wxWindows.

Python combines remarkable power with very clear syntax. It has modules, classes, exceptions, very high level dynamic data types, and dynamic typing. There are interfaces to many system calls and libraries, and new built-in modules are easily written in C or C++. Python is also usable as an extension language for applications that need a programmable interface.
wxPython is a Python extension module that encapsulates the wxWindows GUI classes. Currently it is available for the Win32 and GTK ports of wxWindows, but as soon as the other ports are brought up to the same level as Win32 and GTK, it should be fairly trivial to enable wxPython to be used with the new GUI.
Enhancements:
- Primarily a bugfix release for compatibility with the latest wxPython.

The Apache::FileManager module is a simple HTML file manager. It provides file manipulations such as cut, copy, paste, delete, rename, extract archive, create directory, create file, edit file, and upload files.
It also has the ability to rsync the server htdocs tree to another server with the click of a button.
