DNS Domain Expiration Check is a utility for checking DNS domain expiration dates.

domain-check queries WHOIS data in realtime, and can be integrated with cron to provide e-mail notifications prior to a domain expiring.

The first example will print the expiration date and registrar for daemons.net:

The third example will e-mail the address admin@daemons.net with the domains that will expire in 60-days or less:

Code::Perl is a Perl module to produce Perl code from a tree.

Code::Perl allows you to build chunks of Perl code as a tree and then when youre finished building, the tree can output the Perl code. This is useful if you have built your own mini-language and you want to generate Perl from it. Rather than generating the Perl at parse time and having to worry about quoting, escaping, parenthese etc, you can just build a tree using Code::Perl and then dump out the correct Perl at the end.

Apache2::AuthenNTLM is a Perl module to perform Microsoft NTLM and Basic User Authentication.

The purpose of this module is to perform a user authentication via Microsofts NTLM protocol. This protocol is supported by all versions of the Internet Explorer and is mainly useful for intranets. Depending on your preferences setting IE will supply your windows logon credentials to the web server when the server asks for NTLM authentication. This saves the user to type in his/her password again.

The NTLM protocol performs a challenge/response to exchange a random number (nonce) and get back a md4 hash, which is built from the users password and the nonce. This makes sure that no password goes over the wire in plain text.

The main advantage of the Perl implementation is, that it can be easily extended to verify the user/password against other sources than a windows domain controller. The defaultf implementation is to go to the domain controller for the given domain and verify the user. If you want to verify the user against another source, you can inherit from Apache2::AuthenNTLM and override its methods.

To support users that arent using Internet Explorer, Apache2::AuthenNTLM can also perform basic authentication depending on its configuration.

IMPORTANT: NTLM authentification works only when KeepAlive is on. (If you have set ntlmdebug 2, and see that there is no return message (type 3), check your httpd.conf file for "KeepAlive Off". If KeepAlive Off, then change it to KeepAlive On, restart Apache, and test again).

This module provides syntax highlighting for Perl code. The design bias is roughly line-oriented and streamed (ie, processing a file line-by-line in a single pass). Provisions may be made in the future for tasks related to "back-tracking" (ie, re-doing a single line in the middle of a stream) such as speeding up state copying.

Digest::MD5::Perl is a Perl implementation of Ron Rivests MD5 Algorithm.

This is not an interface (like Digest::MD5) but a Perl implementation of MD5. It is written in perl only and because of this it is slow but it works without C-Code. You should use Digest::MD5 instead of this module if it is available. This module is only usefull for
computers where you cannot install Digest::MD5 (e.g. lack of a C-Compiler) encrypting only small amounts of data (less than one million bytes). I use it to hash passwords.
