Multiplication Station 1.3.3
Multiplication Station is an application to help memorize multiplication tables through 12x12. more>>
Multiplication Station project is an application to help memorize multiplication tables through 12x12. The user logs in and faces a blank 12x12 grid.
The program gives all the products in random order. When a correct answer is given, the problem is marked "complete" and the corresponding grid cell displays the product (i.e. row * col). If a wrong answer is given then the problem is inserted at a random position in the problem queue and asked again later.
The countdown-timer works as follows: if set for "5", then after 5 seconds, if no answer yet entered, the problem is re-inserted in the problem queue to be asked again, later. This has been found to keep kids more focused.
The administrator can change the operator for each account separately among {+,-,*} for the analogous exercises.
Main features:
- Multiple Account control via Admin Interface
- Separate configurations for each account
- High-Score display encourages competition
- Configurable countdown timer encourages attention
- Configurable number of points to award
- Configurable operator support for add/sub/mult
- Configurable colors
Enhancements:
- The admin panel has been made resizable.
- A call to the anti-alias function that affected some displays has been fixed.

Station Info 2.3
Station Info program searches for and displays AM, FM, and TV station. more>>
Station Info program searches for and displays AM, FM, and TV station entries from databases supplied by the US Federal Communications Commission (also known as the FCC).
The station-info program provides many ways of selecting a collection of stations for display, and several criteria by which these stations can be sorted.
Detailed information on each station is available, including an antenna radiation pattern, ownership information, and whatever else seems useful.
The program is currently available in source code form only. It has been developed and tested on a GNU/Linux platform, but should build without problem on any platform that supports the Gtk+ toolkit and the Gnome libraries.

gtivo 0.70 beta
gtivo is a TiVo media stream extraction tool. more>>
This application is a GUI tool written with the Gnome/GTK libraries. It can be used to view Television Show details and extract tyStreams (TiVo proprietary media streams) from a network enabled TiVo device. This application will run in Linux (and possibly other Unix varients).
gtivo has many user configurable preferences. Each option is grouped into a category based on any options which may be related to it.
TiVo Device - Options
TiVo Hostname (no default)
Specify the hostname or IP of the TiVo device.
Telnet Port (depricated as is not used)
This field is depricated and is no longer used. It will be removed in the future.
Web Server Port (defaults to 80 - http access)
Specify which port on the TiVo can be used for http requests (gtivo expects that Tivoweb is installed). This feature is used with the "Copy Show Information from Web Server" feature described below.
Extraction Port (defaults to 7900 - the gserver port)
Specify which port gserver is running on.
Transaction Log (no default)
A transaction log will be created (at the time of the writing, this feature was not implemented -- see sourceforge for more information). This feature may be useful for debugging gtivo.
Storage - Options
Save As (defaults to "%p/%e%f")
For more information on this, please see the section Save As below.
Location (no default)
Specify the base directory that extracted information will be saved in.
Extraction - Options
TiVo Command (defaults to "ExtractStream -s")
What command should gtivo run on the TiVo? NOTE: the TiVo side server (gserver) must be able to run the specified command.
MPEG (default is OFF)
Convert the extracted show to MPEG? If MPEG is selected, the tyStream option will be deselected.
tyStream (Raw) (default is ON)
Save the file in the format that the TiVo provides -- tyStream; the TiVo proprietary format. If tyStream is select, the MPEG option will be deselected.
Store Chunks Seperately (default is OFF)
TiVo stores shows in chunks. This option will save the shows in chunks. See the information in the Save As section for information on the naming convention which will be used.
Copy Show Information from Web Server (default is OFF)
Use the TiVo web server (tivoweb) to obtain detailed show information?
Save As Options
If the user is familiar with xmms (music file playing software for Linux) or grip (music file creation software for Linux) the following formats may be familiar. When specified in the "Save As" field, the individual options will be expanded to values found within the selected shows data type. The following table will detail the options and their meanings.
The Save As field is used in conjunction with the Location setting. Location sets the base directory for saving shows and typically looks like: "/path" The Save As field is joined to the Location field with a "/" (forward slash) character tying the two together.
Save As Options
%e Episode - The title of the specific showing.
%f File Extension - used to allow gtivo to save the file as a .ty (tyStream), .mpeg (MPEGv2) or .html file.
%p Program - The name of the Show (for example: Enterprise, CHiPs, A-Team)
%s Station - The station that the show was recorded on.
%F Internal TiVo data (seems silly to use)
%P Internal TiVo data (seems silly to use)
%d Date (seems silly to use)
%D Day (seems even sillier to use)
After selecting a show (or shows) from the [Now] Show[ing] list, gtivo will attempt to extract the show for the user. A seperate dialog will pop up showing progress. An "Estimated Time to Arrival" (ETA) field will be displayed and updated with the progress bar. The expanded information (from the Save As preference will be displayed).

This module provides a URL generator function for retrieving historical data for weather stations from Weather Underground (http://wunderground.com).
Additionally, a function to clean up the data retrieved from said URLs is provided. Nominally, the content retrieved from the URLs is in CSV (Comma Separated Values) format. If you enter these URLs into a web browser, the data does appear to be in that format.
However, the MIME type given for the data by the web server is text/html and the data contains < br > tags and HTML comments (though no < html >, < head >, or < body > tags that you would expect for an HTML document). Thus, if a user copies and pastes the data from the web browser, the

rstudio 0.6
rstudio is a GTK+ GUI that controls programs used in recording, CD mastering, and managing a SHOUTcast server. more>>
rstudio project is a GTK+ GUI that controls programs used in recording, CD mastering, and managing a SHOUTcast server.
The "Radio Station" referred to here is a Shoutcast server. Before you can play any music on the station, you need to either record your own, or use a Peer-to-Peer program or other source to download some music.
The GTK-Gnutella button starts a peer to peer fileshareing program called GTK-Gnutella where you can get a wide variety of music free.
Start Radio station starts up the shoutcast server and its source client, which feeds an mp3 playlist to the server for broadcast.
The playlist file is created when you press the "Close" button in the playlist manager. The playlist manager lets you view either the downloaded files from GTK-Gnutella, or the permanent collection of files. You can select a file, then move it to the permanent collection, only if you are viewing the downloaded files. For either set, you may delete a file, or play it.
Audacity is a very versatile recording tool that can be used to create original content, or to record from other sources, such as a Shoutcast.com station, (or even your own shoutcast station).
Shoutcast.com button starts firefox, with the url of http://www.shoutcast.com so that you may listen to other shoutcast stations, or your own.
Kill XMMS stops any running xmms.
Quit exits rstudio.
GTK-Gnutella starts the P-2-P filesharing system.
K3B can be used to master audio CDs, or even mp3 data CDs that can be played on an mp3-compatible cd player or dvd player.
Enhancements:
- A shuffle playlist button was added.
- The audio player was changed to Audacious since Gentoo does not support XMMS.
- This version was tested on Gentoo AMD64 and Kubuntu 386.
