Create a short URLs is a Firefox extension that allows you to create a short URL from any website.
Are you annoyed with really long URLs like: http://www.succor.co.uk/index.cfm/2006/4/7/wapurlcouk-beta-launch
Then this tag is for you. Just right click on the page and click wapURL and you will be presented with a short URL. This is great if you need to send text messages or emails.
When you use the short URL the key passed is looked up against our database and the user in then redirected to your requested URL.

Game Server Startup Script 1.1
Game Server Startup Script project is a startup script to manage dedicated game servers like Quake3. more>>
Game Server Startup Script project is a startup script to manage dedicated game servers like Quake3.
Game Server Startup Scripts is a startup script to manage a wide variety of Linux dedicated game servers. It can start/stop/restart/fix dedicated game servers like Quake3, Half Life, Tribes 2, UT2K4, BF1942 and others.
It uses qstat through cron to validate that a game is running as expected. If a game is not running as expected, the game is automatically restarted from the script through cron.
GSSS was written becuase I wanted a way to start up a variety of games in a standard way. Then I also wanted to make sure the games stayed running even after a crash.
So I wrote this perl script. It will start games and through a cron job make sure they stay running. If you have qstat installed it can also verify the game is running like it is suppose to be and not in some strange state where no one can play.
If the game is running but unresponsive, it kills it and starts it again. You can also stop running games cleanly as well.
Games supported by "Game Server Startup Script":
- Quake2
- Quake3
- RTCW
- Half Life
- Unreal
- UT2K3
- UT2K4
- Tribes 2
- NWN
- BF1942
- ET
Enhancements:
- Very minor changes, minor readme changes, clean up

Create New Template Service Menu 0.2.1
Create New Template Service Menu is a context menu item for KDE and Konqueror that automates adding Create New... menu entries. more>>
Create New Template Service Menu is a context menu item for KDE and Konqueror that automates adding Create New... menu entries from existing files. It adds a "Create Template" item to the Actions submenu of the context menu. It consists of a service menu .desktop file and a shell script.
KDE Create New Template Service Menu
This service menu removes the hassle of hand-coding Create New... menu entries. It is accessed by right-clicking regular file icons on the desktop or in Konqueror, pointing to Actions, and selecting Create Template.
It consists of a service menu .desktop file and a Bash shell script. The Create Template service menu runs a shell script that brings up two dialogs--one for choosing an icon to associate with the Create New... menu entry, and the other for entering the menu item text itself. It uses this information to write a Create New... menu item .desktop file. The shell script bases the name of the .desktop file on the name of the document file clicked on from the desktop and places a copy of the file in the .sources subdirectory of ~/.kde/share/templates.
The service menu should be placed in ~/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus and the shell script in ~/bin.
I suggest that users first install the Simple Service Menu Installer available from http://www.kde-apps.org/content/download.php?content=23760&id=1. That service menu provides the same service for installable service menus that mine does for document templates and will greatly simplify the process of installing this service menu. After downloading that service menu just right-click on it, point to Actions, point to Install Service, and click one of the options available on the submenu. Then to install my service menu, just follow the same proceedure and place the shell script in your personal ~/bin directory.
From that point on you will have a nice, simple method of adding both installable service menus and templates to the KDE context menu.
This project is released under the terms of the GNU GPL v.2.0.
Enhancements:
- Changed menu icons to more appropriate ones.

KoverArtist 0.5
KoverArtist is a program for the fast creation of covers for cd/dvd cases and boxes. more>>
KoverArtist is a program for the fast creation of covers for cd/dvd cases and boxes. KoverArtists main idea is to be able to create decent looking covers with some mouseclicks.
The project started from my need for some decent covers for the films I record from television and then often burn on dvd for archiving.
With series I usually start with one or two dvds, and add more as more episodes are available. So the program - KoverArtist - had to be flexible enough to handle that. This also requires changing covers on the fly to use cases that can house more discs.
Enhancements:
- Some layout tweaking to make the main window fit better on a 1024x768 screen (thanks to Agnese Bonetti for reporting).
- Bugfix: Disc #1 tab was not shown on startup when no project was opened.
- Bugfix: koverartist crashed when ~/.cddb did not exist upon audio-cd import (thanks to Audidriver for reporting).
- Corrections in German translation.
- Added support for KinoArtist projects (KinoArtist is not released yet).
- When importing a disc and the project title or snapshots are not set, the disc settings are then used (like when opening a KMediaFactory project as a project).
- Added support for automake 2.6.x
