KDELirc Improved (patch) adds some different new features to improve kdelirc usability. Above all i added On Screen Display, using Konversation and Amarok codebase. When some key is pressed on the remote, its shown through OSD on your desktop, and mode changing is advertised too.
I also added an option to allow mode changing with one key only, instead of binding one key for each mode. A new DCOP method now allows to suspend and resume key binding for the remote (dcop irkick IRKick setEnabled true/false).
Enhancements:
- Removed Konversation OSD, using Amarok one instead (improved, with images and translucency support).
- Now showing icon for mode change, for better visual recognition.
- Also showing a little icon for the keypress, so indicating what mode is in use.

PRES project (the Press Release System) is a simple content management system, essentially targeted at producing a news and information site. Managing a PRES system is designed to be simple.
However, presentation is sophisticated and flexible. An elementary knowledge of IT would be useful but expertise in designing and managing websites is not a requirement. PRES can be used for anything from private blogging to corporate news systems.

- All content is generated as XML which is styled at server side with XSL-T stylesheets to provide the final look and feel of your pages. This permits an almost infinite variety of presentations. Furthermore, different XSL-T transforms can be associated with different categories, allowing you to have different styling for different parts of your site.

F-IRC is an IRC client for the console. It supports multiple servers, scrollback, and all the basic features one can expect from an IRC client.
When F-IRC is started, youll see a list of channels and servers on the right.
The box around these is inverted. That means that if you use the left- and the
right cursor, they will work on the channels etc. If you press ^n, the box will
no longer be inverted and you can use the cursor keys for editting what youre typing.
If the channel-box is selected, press key right on a channel to get a list of
people in that channel. Press key left to exit this (and return to the list of
channels) or press key right on a name to get a menu via which you can kick
and ban people as well as get information on them. Press left on a server to
hide all the channels for that server, press right to unhide all channels.

TCPCam is a video and audio point to point conference program for Linux that is very easy to use and modify. more>>
TCPCam is a video and audio point to point conference program for Linux that is very easy to use and modify. The connection uses a single TCP port that needs to be open on only one of the two ends.
TCPCam is possible to change the video compression and resolution at run-time to match the available bandwidth.
It uses the Speex encoder for audio compression (in both narrowband and wideband), JPEG compression for video, and works with most video4linux devices and audio boards supporting the OSS API.
Main features:
- It works using a single TCP port (port 7766). In order for TCPCam to work between two users, one of the users can be completly firewalled, while the other one must have port TCP 7766 open to the outside.
- Audio frames are encoded using the Speex encoder/algorithm.
- Video frames are encoded using JPEG at high compression level.
- The user can switch between ten different video quality levels at runtime using keys from 1 to 0.
- Support for multiple video resolution (up to 640x480), the user can switch at runtime using the right keys (see usage)
- Full screen mode (just press f to toggle).
- Capture screenshots in JPEG format (just press enter).
- Audio works in narrowband (8Khz) and wideband (16Khz).

Petals on a Rose is an intriguing puzzle game for all ages. This website claims that Bill Gates was stumped by it for two days. Its usually played with a group of friends and a set of 5 dice. The game master rolls the dice and tells everyone the answer. This computer version of the puzzle works similarly, only in this case the computer plays as the game master.
To play you just double click the icon to start the program. Type your guess in the "Answer" field and press "Check". If your guess is correct you get congratulated, otherwise you need to try again. If you get tired of guessing you can press the "Give Up" button and youll get the answer to that particular roll.
Just press the "Roll Dice" button at any time to get a new set of numbers.
Always remember, dont tell the answer to anyone!

Press any key to start, and use the arrow keys to control your snake. Eat the pain.
Alternatively, you can use the good old fashioned O, P, Q, A key layout you remember from your ZX Spectrum days. You can also redefine the keys by modifying the config file in ~/.mopesnake/config. Figuring out the format of that file is left as an exercise for the reader.
Press ESCAPE on the title screen to enter the menu, which allows you to change the skill level (Easy, Medium or Hard) and the game mode (Normal or One-button). Press ESCAPE during the game to pause or quit.

The goal of the game is to pick up two identical chips from a board that contains 32. The game contains very nice visual effects, sounds, and very nice music composed by Jonne Valtonen.
Installing
Just do:
./configure
make
make install (as root).
Enhancements:
- Added the -f or --fullscreen switch.
- Changed some chips (removed bloody ones) the game is now "child safe".
- program exits if close window or press [F10].
- if two scores are equal they are ordered by minor time.
- time stops during a combo FX.
- the hiscores screen displays a "press right mouse button to return" sign.

To improve the discoverability of microsummaries, this extension displays an icon in the location bar when a microsummary is available for a page.
When you click the icon, Firefox opens the Add Bookmark dialog and selects the microsummary as the "live title" for the bookmark.
Then just select the folder you want the bookmark to be created in (f.e. the Bookmarks Toolbar) and press the Add button to add a bookmark labeled with the microsummary for the page.
To test it out, install the extension, restart Firefox, and go to woot.com

gIpc is a tool to get all the IPC info. more>>
gIpc is a tool to get all the IPC info. Just like a GTK frontend for IPCS and IPCRM commands which are already there in existing Linux systems.
gIpc will collect the snapshot for the IPC info (i.e, Shared memory,semaphore and messageQ information).
You can also refresh the IPC info using IPC Refresh from the menu OR using F5″ key.
If you want to remove a perticular IPC entity, just select the row and press DELETE you will be asked for the confirmation. If you click on yes then that IPC entity will be removed. (Ofcourse, you should be having appropriate permissions to do this !)
