Cool Blue is a desktop widget for SuperKaramba for system monitoring. more>>
Cool Blue is a desktop widget for SuperKaramba for system monitoring.
It has cool blue translucent background (which I made with help of Karbon14, Krita and the mighty Gimp) and displays everything I need (and probably what you need too).
It can interact with XMMS. Well, its a matter of personal taste, but I still like XMMS more than AmaroK...
Anyway, if you want, it should be easy changing it to use amaroK. Maybe even Ill do this if I have free time and appropriate mood.

NOPworklog 0.1
NOPworklog is simple (PHP 5.1-based) time tracking utility. more>>
NOPworklog is simple (PHP 5.1-based) time tracking utility.
Whats that?
Need to track the time youre working for client and dont need huge CRM system for that? Want to know how much time does writing blog posts cost you? How long does it take to "just read the news headlines" on your RSS reader?
Well, you can find out with a stopwatch and a paper, or with PHP 5.0.x and XML. And NOPworklog, which is my simple time tracking tool. Its intended to be simple to install and use.
How does it work?
You create a list of projects and for each project a list of tasks you do. For example, if I was making a lunch, Id create a project lunch and add tasks like buying ingredients, preparing ingredients, cooking it, waiting for it to cool off and eating it. Then, before going shopping, I just click "lunch - buying ingredients", maybe add some optional description and press the start button (not The Start Button on your crappy OS ;). When youve returned from the grocery, you click "stop". Cool, now you have stored how long did it take. Simple as that.

bpmcalc 0.2
bpmcalc is an Amarok script that calculates BPM on song change and update Amaroks database. more>>
bpmcalc is an Amarok script that calculates BPM on song change and update Amaroks database.
This is my first amaroK script which calculate the BPM of the currently playing file. I wrote it after the recent patch which add a BPM field in the playlist. It isnt really useful, but I think its cool; plus it can make conversations: "Hey! did you know tha this tune is 130BPM!..."
Dont forget to add the BPM column to the playlist (right-click on the column titles->show columns->BPM)
Note the detection is sometimes bad for some music styles or when the bass drum isnt loud enough. However, in those cases the BPM is often a multiple of what has been detected. If you dont agree with what is detected, you can right click the playlist -> bpm -> check manually and press spacebar.
Feel free to modify it or to mail me your

THC-Probe is the ultimate host scanner compilation for Linux, featuring nmap, snmpscan, netbios auditing tool and super-cool vh shell script.
INSTALL: just run "make install". Everything will be installed in /usr/local
RUN: just run "netprobe" and see the options.
Every host scanned will be saved as a "host.bla.com.probe" file in your current directory.
It does many stuff like snmp guessing, samba pw guessing and information gathering.
Nothing great and big, but it suits my needs.

mod_iptos 1.1
mod_iptos can set IPTOS values on outgoing packets to assist traffic shaping. more>>
mod_iptos can set IPTOS values on outgoing packets to assist traffic shaping.
I wanted bandwidth control for a few virtual hosts, but i did not like the userland methods -- they were inaccurate and buggy. I wanted to take advantage of the linux kernel traffic shaping which i was already using for managing my bandwidth costs. All i needed was a way to "paint" some packets from the webserver so that the traffic shaper could handle them appropriately.
I chose to abuse the IPTOS bits ("type of service") to do this. Userland is able to select IPTOS bits via setsockopt. This gives a communication channel between the webserver and the traffic shaper, and makes me happy.
And so mod_iptos was born.
Ive since learned that IPTOS are being updated/replaced by something called DIFFSERV... and it sounds cool. But since my hack is in place and working i havent been motivated to go the next step with this module.

Kojoney 0.0.4.1
Kojoney project is a low level interaction honeypot that emulates an SSH server. more>>
Kojoney project is a low level interaction honeypot that emulates an SSH server. The daemon is written in Python using the Twisted Conch libraries.
Kojoney is a mix of the spanish word cojon (s/c/k/) and honey. In the spanish language the sentence "estar hasta los cojones" is used to express that you are cloyed. In the past I received many attacks against my SSH server and various of the attacks were very cool (i.e. using my name and sourname to brute force my SSH Server).
In order to catch my attacker I decided to create a honeypot. The attacker stopped his offensives and (currently) I dont known who were the attacker but I realized of which this tool was very cool and I decided to release it to the public.

KSmoothDock 4.5

KSmoothDock is a cool desktop panel (like KDEs kicker) for KDE 3.2 with smooth zooming (2 modes: normal and parabolic).
As it is intended for KDE/Linux, its behaviour will be like that of kicker.
- Programming language: C++
- Libraries used: KDE 3.2
Installation:
Unzip, cd to the directory ksmoothdock then run:
./configure
make
su
make install
***IF you have problems compiling, try:

./configure --without-arts
make
su

Then run:

(if when you run "ksmoothdock", nothing happens, then it is likely that your KDE dir is not standard. In this case, either:
- cd to the directory ksmoothdock/src, then run "./ksmoothdock", or
- Re-do the above sequence (./configure ...), but instead of "./configure", type:
./configure --prefix=/YOUR_KDE_DIR
)
Enhancements:
New features:
- New command line options:
- resetConfig reset configuration data
- resetLaunchers reset quick launchers data
Bug fixes:
- Fixed some display bugs (on both normal and parabolic zoom modes) in v4.4.
