Connection Manager 1.0rc1
Connection Manager allows you to pre-configure all this, and use a single consistant interface. more>>
Connection Manager allows you to pre-configure all this, and use a single consistant interface to get connected to all of these various systems.
Do you have to log in to a lot of different systems? If you do, odds are that you have to use a variety of methods. You probably have some systems that require ssh and others that only support rdesktop. For some you may have to use vnc. Some may only support telnet. Connection Manager allows you to pre-configure all this, and use a single consistant interface to get connected to all of these various systems.
To install from the source distibution type (you probably will have to be root):
make install
To make rpms for rpm-based ditros type:
make rpm
Main features:
- Command Line Interface - Connection Manager will have a command line interface that allows for easy initiation of any connection. Some users, especially system administrators, will prefer this method of interaction
- Qt/KDE interface - Connection Manager will have a full featured graphical interface based on the Qt and KDE widgets. This interface will allow a user to manage their own connections, as well as maintain all of the various configuration files. You shouldnt have to use a text editor to edit configuration files unless you really want to
- Documentation - Connection Manager will be completely documented, including man pages, a user reference guide, and an administrator reference guide.
- Packaging - every effort will be made to make Connection Manager easy to install. Packages will be provided for a variety of platforms.
- Internationalization - Connection Manager will be designed and built so that it will be easy to add support for different languages.

Gnome Remote Connection Manager 0.1.5
Gnome Remote Connection Manager is a gnome application that stores information about remote connections. more>>
Gnome Remote Connection Manager is a gnome application that stores information
about remote connections.
It gives you a GUI program to launch applications like telnet, shh, or rdesktop. It is highly configurable as to what type of applications it launches, so you are not limited to the three listed, for example I never thought of using it for ftp, but it would be easy to setup.
GRCM uses gconf to store information about connections.
Enhancements:
- Added some missing icons.
- Fixed a callback in the Connections Dialog that made the default arguments from the connection appear when selected.

Net::FreeDB2::Connection is a FreeDB/CDDB abstract connection class.
Net::FreeDB2::Connection is an abstract class to represent connections to FreeDB/CDDB servers. After a successfull connection, FreeDB/CDDB queries, reads etc can be made to obtain/provide information from/to FreeDB/CDDB databases.
CONSTRUCTOR
new (OPT_HASH_REF)
Creates a new Net::FreeDB2::Connection object. By default connect () is called to initiate the connection but see option no_connect. See the implementation for complements/restrictions.
Options for OPT_HASH_REF may include:
client_name
Mandatory option to name the connecting client software.
client_version
Mandatory option with the client software version string.
client_host
The hostname of the client. Defaults to &Sys::Hostname::hostname ().
client_user
The user of the client. Defaults to scalar (getpwuid ($>));
freedb_host
The FreeDB/CDDB host. Defaults to freedb.freedb.org.
freedb_port
The port on the FreeDB/CDDB host.
proxy_host
Proxy host.
proxy_port
Port on the proxy host. Defaults to 8080.
proxy_user
Proxy user name to use.
proxy_passwd
Proxy password to use.
no_connect
Do not call connect () during instanciation.

Chess::ICClib 1.00
Chess::ICClib is a Perl interface to Internet Chess Server commands. more>>
Chess::ICClib is a Perl interface to Internet Chess Server commands.
SYNOPSIS
use Chess::ICClib;
my $icc = Chess::ICClib->new([-prompt=>$ICC],
[-host=>$host,-port=>$port]
[-user=>$user,-pass=>$password]);
$icc->ICCCommand("finger romm");
Chess::ICClib - Perl interface to Internet Chess Server commands. Provides a tool able to connect, login and send commands to an Internet Chess Server as well as return responses from the server. Can be used as a basis for information retrieval tool as well as for a player or a chess program interface.
Since ICS [Internet Chess Server] (any, commercial and free alike) are built upon the telnet protocol, this module is built upon the Net::Telnet module where the telnet connection serves as the read/write socket.
This module has been tested against ICC (Internet Chess Club, http://www.chessclub.com, telnet king.chessclub.com 5000) but it should work fine against other chess servers unless they propose another "more" preprompt. More about prompts see in ICCCommand method section.
The following methods are available:
Constructor
$icc = Chess::ICClib->new([-prompt=>$ICC], [-host=>$host,-port=>$port] [-user=>$user,-pass=>$password]);
Creates an ICC object, then connects and logins into the ICS. All parameters are optional.
-prompt
The ICS prompt. The default is the ICC prompt aics%. Several other popular servers prompt are provided - see the EXPORT section.
-host,-port
The ICS host and port. The defaults are the ICC host 204.178.125.65 and the ICC port 5000. In later versions hosts and ports for most popular ICS will be added for export.
-user,-pass
The ICS user name and password. There are no defaults. guest login is sufficient on most of the servers (USChessLive and FreeICS are not supporting guest logins!) The module tries to look up the file ~/.icsrc to read the username and password from it.
ICCCommand
my $response = $icc->ICCCommand($icccommand)
This method performs an ICC Command $icccommand and sets the output into $response. The interface of ICC (and supposedly of other ICS) pages the output automatically with preprompt Type "more" to see more and the output unpages it scrolling with issuing the "more" command consecutively until the preprompt disappears. Please note that ICS is case-insensitive while Perl is.

use Gtk2::Ex::MindMapView::Connection;
This module is internal to Gtk2::Ex::MindMapView. Connections are instantiated by Gtk2::Ex::MindMapView. This module is responsible for drawing the connecting lines between Gtk2::Ex::MindMapView::Items onto the canvas.
The Gtk2::Ex::MindMapView::Connection is an observer. It registers with the view items so that it may be notified when a view items state changes.
INTERFACE
Properties
arrows (string : readable / writable)
Indicates whether arrows should be drawn. Possible values are: none, one-way, and two-way.
predecessor_item (Gtk2::Ex::MindMapView::Item : readable / writable)
The item at which this connection starts.
item (Gtk2::Ex::MindMapView::Item : readable / writable)
The item at which this connection ends.
Methods
INIT_INSTANCE
This subroutine is called by Glib::Object::Subclass as the object is being instantiated. You should not call this subroutine directly. Leave it alone.
SET_PROPERTY
This subroutine is called by Glib::Object::Subclass when a property is being set. You should not call this subroutine directly. Leave it alone. Instead call the set method to assign values to properties.

Netwatch 1.0c
Netwatch is a Linux program created to aid in monitoring Network Connections. more>>
Netwatch is a Linux program created to aid in monitoring Network Connections. It is based on a program called "statnet" but has been substantially modified for its Ethernet emphasis. The project is a dynamic program which displays the Ethernet status based each the connections activity.
It has the capability of monitoring hundreds of site statistics simultaneously. The connections port number (Well Known Service) and destination address are available as well. There are options which allow router statistics to be measured on simple networks (with one router). External network communication is counted and transfer rates are displayed.
Main features:
- Reload feature for periodic saves and clears
- Routing Summaries with character graphics display
- Saves of Routing Statistics for last day of run (min. by min.)
- Freeze display (continue logging) for remote efficiency
- PPP Connectivity Monitoring
- Multiple Interface Support (1 at a time)
