Resistor Color Code Calculator 1.0
Resistor Color Code Calculator calculates the value of a resistor (an electronic component). more>>
Resistor Color Code Calculator project calculates the value of a resistor (an electronic component).
The colors on the resistor are input into the program, and the result displays the resistance value of the resistor.
This is much easier than memorizing rhymes to remember colors.

IP Personality 20020427-2.4.18
The Linux IP Personality patch adds to your Linux 2.4 kernel. more>>
The Linux IP Personality patch adds to your Linux 2.4 kernel the ability to have different personalities network wise, that is to change some characteristics of its network traffic, depending on different parameters (anything you can specify in an iptables rule: src/dst IP address, TCP or UDP port, etc.)
The next characteristics can be changed:
TCP Initial Sequence Number (ISN)
TCP initial window size
TCP options (their types, values and order in the packet)
IP ID numbers
answers to some pathological TCP packets
answers to some UDP packets
They are deeply configurable.
This patch relies on the wonderful framework created by Rusty Russel: netfilter. More precisely, the patch adds a new iptables target (in a kernel module) that can be used in the mangle table with a (patched) iptables. This target is very configurable. See the documentation section for more details on how it works.
The primary objective of this patch is to counter network fingerprinting techniques, as described in Fyodors article.
Fyodor is the author of nmap, the famous port scanner that has a powerful remote OS detection engine. IP Personality can fool current versions of nmap, and is very configurable, so that it can probably fool any similar tool. The patch allows one to emulate the behaviour of any system listed in nmaps list of OS fingerprints. Some of its features can even be applied to routed traffic, and thus disturb scans directed to machines that are behind it. Some features (eg TCP ISN rewriting) can also be used to improve overall network security.
Enhancements:
- net, linux: updated for Linux 2.4.18, fixed all compile warnings and a potential Oops
- doc, misc: updated for latest changes
- email addresses: please note that it should be sourceforge.net

Color::Fade 0.01
Color::Fade provides a Perl extension for fading text colors. more>>
Color::Fade provides a Perl extension for fading text colors.
Color::Fade uses mathematical formulas to take an input string of virtually any length, and virtually any number of colors, and assign an individual color to each character to fade between each of the input colors.
In other words, it makes your sentences look really pretty.
Methods
Fade $string among the colors in @colors, where $string is a string of length greater than zero, and @colors is an array of colors in six byte hexadecimal format, with or without the leading octothorpe. @colors must have at least two elements.
When called in array context, the method returns an array in which each element is of the format:
y
For each character, where xxxxxx is a hexadecimal color code and y is one character from the original string.
When called in scalar context, this array is joined before being returned.

Debt Payment Comparison Calculator 1.18
Debt Payment Comparison Calculator is a free, flexible tool for your Web site that does more than just calculate monthly payment more>>
Debt Payment Comparison Calculator project is a free, flexible tool for your Web site that does more than just calculate monthly payments.
In addition to what typical Web calculators do, which is grab the principle, interest rate, and the years to pay it off to generate your monthly payment, this calculator can tell you how long it would take you to pay off a debt if you increased or decreased the payment amount.
Each time the user uses the calculator, it saves the information so that the user can compare different payment scenarios. At any time, the user can clear the data and start over. They can also color-group different scenarios for easy visual reference.
Main features:
- Stores calculations in a session variable, so users can compare different payment scenarios, side by side without the use of a database.
- Ability to color-code the scenarios by clicking on them, making it easy to visually sort the results
- Works fine without Javascript enabled
- Simple code to work with, easy to adjust to specific needs
- Styles and scripts are already in external files, making the web page search engine ready out of the box!

Argyll Color Management System 0.60
Argyll is an experimental ICC-compatible color management system. more>>
Argyll is an experimental ICC-compatible color management system. Argyll Color Management System supports accurate ICC profile creation for scanners, CMYK printers, film recorders, and display monitors.
Spectral sample data is supported, allowing a selection of illuminants observer types, and paper fluorescent whitener additive compensation. Profiles can also incorporate source-specific gamut mappings for perceptual and saturation intents.
Gamut mapping and profile linking uses the CIECAM02 appearance model, a unique gamut mapping algorithm, and a wide selection of rendering intents.
It also includes code for a fast, portable 8-bit raster color conversion engine, as well as support for fast, fully accurate 16-bit conversion. Device color gamuts can also be viewed and compared using a VRML viewer.
Enhancements:
- Support for the USB-based X-Rite DTP94 (AKA Optix) display colorimeter.
- Comprehensive display control adjustment and calibration support.
- Full multi-monitor support for display adjustment, calibration, and profiling on all supported operating systems (MS Windows, OS X, and Linux/X11). Numerous bugfixes, and many minor feature additions and improvements.

Marathon GUI Test Tool 1.0.6
Marathon is a testing framework for GUI applications developed using Java/Swing. more>>
Marathon project is a testing framework for GUI applications developed using Java/Swing. Marathon composes of recorder, runner and editor. The testscripts are composed of python code.
Marathon focuses on end-user testing. One need not know Java or Swing to record test scripts using Marathon. Marthon is kept intentionally simple. The aim to produce test scripts that are readable by everyone on the project. This includes the developers, testers and the customers. Marathon is flexible and provides facilities to extend the functionality available through python scripts or through writing ones own component resolvers.
Marathon captures the semantic actions on components instead of the mouse & keyboard events. This results in scripts that are simple and at a higher granular level. Marathon suites well for applications that mostly depend on forms-paradigm.

Running Unix Memory Test 0.2
Running Unix Memory Test is a tool to check the memory without interrupting the service. more>>
The goal of RUMT is to check the memory of a computer over a long period of time and almost-real load conditions without having to interrupt the services.
RUMT exploits the possibility of some Unix kernels to selectivly disable some memory areas while still accessing them through the /dev/mem device. The principle of RUMT is to write pseudo-random data in these disabled memory areas, and later check them. This principle and the original code for the deterministic pseudo-random generator are from David Madore.
This distribution contains another variant on the same theme: URUMT allocates a large chunk of memory, locks it in memory using the mlock(2) system call, and scans /dev/mem to find where in physical memory the allocated area is. Then it continuously runs the same tests in that memory.
URUMT can not be used to test a particular area of memory: the kernel will give it whatever physical memory it feels like. But URUMT can be restarted now and then, hopefully getting different physical memory each time.
This is perfect if you suspect you have bad bits, but do not know at all where they are. Once you have sighted the bad bits, you can use a plain RUMT to test more extensively the neighborhood.
