Collaborative Portal Server (CPS) is the most complete Open Source platform available for building Enterprise Content Management (ECM) applications.
Collaborative Portal Server comes also as a user-friendly application ready to for entreprise-grade content management with many collaboration features. CPS is built on top of the powerful Zope application server.

Version restrictions:
- EGW does not need to be compiled. EGW is composed only of PHP, HTML and image files
- EGW needs a Database server. MySQL or PostgreSQL or MSSQL preferred. Can be local or remote.
- EGW needs a php4 enabled web server. Apache1.3.x with PHP4.3.x preferred.
- EGW may need an e-mail server. Can be local or remote and IMAP or POP.

It is packaged as a set of components that can be used either independently or together to develop applications. Enhancements:
- This release adds a new reliable file transfer client. It has been upgraded to SpiderMonkey version 1.60, GPT 3.9, and OpenSSH 4.5p1 with the high performance patch, and ported to Mac OS X / Intel x86.
- Test coverage, credentials handling in the security module, and handling of XML schema have been improved.
- An authorization portal framework has been introduced.

Chinook is an on-line tool for interactive content collaboration. Chinook allows scientists to view content real time and comment on it in a forum environment.
