Flickr Photo Compass 0.8
Flickr Photo Compass displays the 8 closest photos to the actual one in the directions: N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, NW. more>>
The Geo Radar released by .CK reminded me of an idea I had had a while ago and provided me with the tools to implement it quickly.
This greasemonkey is a simpler version of the radar that displays the 8 closest photos to the actual one in the directions: N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, NW.
Flickr Photo Compass is a simple tool to browse photos of some place. By clicking on the direction icons, you can move around and find other photos.

schedtool 1.2.9
schedtool can be used to query or alter a process scheduling policy under linux. more>>
schedtool project was born, because there was no tool to change or query CPU-scheduling policies under Linux. Support for CPU-affinity has also been added and most recently (re-)nicing of processes. Thus, schedtool is the definitive interface to Linuxs scheduler.
It can be used to avoid skipping for A/V-applications, to lock processes onto certain CPUs on SMP/NUMA systems, which may be beneficial for networking or benchmarks, or to adjust nice-levels of lesser important jobs to maintain a high amount of interactive
responsiveness under high load.
All output, even errors, go to STDOUT to ease piping.
If you dont know about scheduling policies, you probably dont want to use this program - or learn and read "man sched_setscheduler".
Certain modes (as of this writing: SCHED_BATCH and SCHED_ISO) need a patched
kernel.
Main features:
- query and alter a process scheduling policy
- specifically: _normal | _fifo | _rr | _batch | _iso
- set static priority needed for _fifo | _rr
- behaves better with newer -ck kernels and sched_iso
sched_batch
improve performance of long_running processes
improve performance of multiple cpu_hog processes
sched_fifo | _rr
fine_tune system for realtime_usage
cpu_affinity
avoid cache_bounces | scheduling_overhead
fully utilize dual_cpu_machines on network_load
lock processes to certains cpus at your wish
Enhancements:
- Installing the man page works again.
- Many typos have been corrected.

Blue ERP 0.6 RC2
Blue ERP is a Web based ERP application. more>>
Blue ERP is a Web based ERP application. Its goal is to provide a flexible and user friendly interface that can work out of the box and be modified to suit specific needs easily.
Blue ERP goals are to provide a featureful ERP application, to be open in licence and in spirit, and to be user-friendly by providing adequate documentation and assistance to users.
Main features:
- provide a feature full ERP application
- be open in licence and in spirit - in blue ERP everything is open, especially the development
- be user friendly by providing adequate documentation and assistance to users to encourage widespread adoption
Why Blue ERP?
Most web-based ERP software are written in java. There are a few other ones (such as SQL-Ledger or CK-ERP), however the development process of these projects is too closed for the philosophy of a true open source project. Some other projects had code which was not clean enough to easily modify without a lot of work.
Blue ERP tries to addess all those issues and to propose a new, fresher and more open approach to the question of php, web based ERP.
Enhancements:
- This version of BlueErp is one step closer to being fully stable. Several bugs were fixed.
- In particular, it is possible now to have two windows editing entities.
- Copying SO to AR now works as it should, and links from accounts history work too.
- This release also has an improved template management for "official" (printable) invoices.

Open Object Rexx 8.0
Open Object Rexx is a curses widget set for Tcl. more>>
This is an excellent widget set for Tcl which retains much of the Tk syntax, but uses curses to render the widgets in a character-cell terminal instead of X and a graphical display.
Installation
1. Type "./configure". This runs a configuration script made by GNU autoconf, which configures Ck for your system and creates a Makefile. The configure script allows you to customize the configuration to your local needs; for details how to do this, type "./configure --help" or refer to the autoconf documentation (not included here).
The following special switches are supported by "configure":
--enable-shared If this switch is specified Ck will compile itself as a shared library if configure can figure out how to do this on this platform.
--with-tcl Specifies the directory containing the Tcl binaries and Tcls platform-dependent configuration information. By default the Tcl distribution is assumed to be in "../../tcl8.0".
2. Type "make". This will create a library called "libck.a" or "libck8.0.so" and an interpreter application called "cwsh" that allows you to type Tcl commands interactively or execute scripts.
3. Type "make install" to install Cks binaries, script files, and man pages in standard places. Youll need write permission on the install directories to do this. If you plan to install the libraries, executables, and script files whitout documentation, use "make install-binaries" and "make install-libraries".
4. Now you should be able to execute "cwsh". However, if you havent installed Ck then youll need to set the CK_LIBRARY environment variable to hold the full path name of the "library" subdirectory. If Ck has been built as shared library, you have to set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH to include the directory where "libck8.0.so" resides.
So far, Ck8.0 has been successfully tested on various Linux distributions, on FreeBSD 3.3 with manually adapted Makefile, and on Windows NT 4.0 with a modified PDCURSES library. The Ck8.0 source tree should be able to be combined with Tcl7.4, 7.5, 7.6, and 8.0. Older version of Ck (which use Tcl7.4 or Tcl7.5) are in use for several years on HP-UX, AIX, and DEC Unix.

Kororaa AIGLXgl Live CD 0.3
Kororaa AIGLXgl is a live CD demonstrating the new Xgl technology for 3D window manipulation and other unusual effects. more>>
Kororaa AIGLXgl is a live CD demonstrating the new Xgl technology for 3D window manipulation and other unusual effects.
The livecd now also comes with AIGLX (Fedoras 3D accelerator for X) as well as Xgl. The livecd will ask you which 3D system you want to use.
The aiglxchooser script also has the option to choose "None" which will disable all fancy effects and result in a "normal" livecd desktop. The livecd will automatically set the system to "None" for users with NVIDIA video cards as there is no open source driver available for them. Users of ATI might be able to use the opensource radeon driver, although it does not support the latest cards.
Please note: The Kororaa AIGLXgl Live CD 0.3 does NOT include the ATI or NVIDIA non-GPL video card drivers, so 3D effects will not be available on machines that require those drivers. The livecd can still be used without the 3D effects however, and installation to disk is also available.
Enhancements:
- Major changes include the removal of non-GPL ATI and NVIDIA video card drivers; the inclusion of AIGLX now along with Xgl, 2.6.18 ck patchset based kernel, KDE 3.5.4, Gnome 2.14, updated installer and many bug fixes.
- The opensource radeon driver will work with many ATI cards, but not all the newer ones. If you have an NVIDIA video card 3D effects will not be available, however you can still use this CD as a "normal" livecd and installation to disk is available.

PATH programming language 0.33
PATH programming language is a unique two-dimensional programming language. more>>
PATH is a very different programming language than what you are probably used to if youre an average programmer. If youve programmed in the language Brainf*ck, youll recognize the memory cell architecture. Also, Befunge programmers will recognize the two-dimensional way that PATH programs are laid out.
PATH programs are laid out on a two-dimensional grid. It follows a path of instructions on the program grid, turning 90 degrees when instructed to (hence the name). A character recognized by the interpreter is called an instruction symbol.
To show you what a PATH program actually looks like, heres a simple program that coincidentally spells out the word "PATH" in large ASCII art letters. (You may recognize it from the PATH program homepage, and its also included with the interpreter.) All it does is make the console beep. Ill explain it in detail later, once you know what all the instruction symbols do.
The interpreter starts at the first "$" symbol it finds and starts heading right. Every time it encounters a valid instruction symbol, it executes it. When it encounters certain special symbols, it may turn in another direction.
The interpreter keeps going until it reaches a "#" symbol. If it encounters a character that is not a valid instruction symbol, it ignores it and skips over it.
