Keen little rabbit ears 0.8
Keen little rabbit ears is a simple ear training program for Linux and Windows. more>>
Keen little rabbit ears is a simple ear training program for Linux and Windows. It is free of charge. You can exercise the recogniton of intervalls, chords, scales and chord progressions.
Keen little rabbit ears requires the installation of Perl (Version 5), Perl/Tk, Perl::MIDI and an extermal MIDI player, like timidity (Verion 0.2i). Keen little rabbit ears is written in perl, uses Perl/Tk for the user interface, Perl::MIDI to write MIDI files and timidity to play MIDI files.
This is an early release, which means that there is a number of features which are not implemented. But keen little rabbit ears works pretty fine on my Pentium 90 using Suse Linux (Version 6.1) and under Window 95 too.
I strongly recommend everyone to read a good book on this. There are several ways to train. In general you do it like this. In the first level only select 2 or 3 items you already know or which are
the most common. In the next level you proceed and add the next 2 common items.
Below is are two lists, which can be used as guideline. But it is usually better to ask your teacher which exercises should you train.
Enhancements:
- Quiz mode
- advanced root note selection
- extension to playing direction (both)
- highlighting of selected instrument / root note
- 440 Hz (sing an "a" test)
- bug fix (pitch drill)

dpkg-changes 1.2
dpkg-changes is a simple script which will report on the packages which have been installed, or uninstalled. more>>
dpkg-changes is a simple script which will report on the packages which have been installed and uninstalled, since the script was last run.
It does this by building up a list of all the packages installed upon your system the first time it is run, then comparing that list against what the system reports whenever it is subsequently run.
The intention is that it can be placed in a crontab file for a user and be run on a daily/weekly basis to give a good idea of what has changed upon the machine.
This is particularly handy when a server is maintained by multiple people, as it allows all admins to be informed when a new package is installed.

The Battle for Wesnoth 1.2.6 / 1.3.6
The Battle for Wesnoth is a turn-based fantasy strategy game. more>>
The Battle for Wesnoth is a turn-based strategy (TBS) game with a fantasy theme.
Build your army, selecting, from one mission to the next one, your most experienced fighters. Fighters you did recruit among a great number of units, offering various strategic strengths and weaknesses on different terrains and against different opponents.
Fight to gain back the throne of Wesnoth, of which you are the legitimate heir. Or use your dreaded power on undead to achieve domination on those foul mortals, or get a revenge for your glorious orcish tribe against these puny human armies who dared stealing your land... stories are waiting to be told. Or maybe you want to challenge your friends or strangers on multiplayer epic fantasy battles.
Main features:
- Build a Hero, and lead your army.
- Different races, with distinctive abilities, weapons and spells.
- GNU/Linux, Windows, MacOSX, BeOS, Solaris, FreeBSD, OpenBSD and NetBSD compatible.
Whats New in 1.2.6 Stable Release:
- WML engine
- fix [variables] not working properly in scenarios (bug #9342)
- language and i18n:
- updated translations: British English, Danish, Finnish, Spanish, Swedish
- updated DejaVuSans font to version 2.18
- user interface:
- Enable "Save Game" and "View Chat Log" menu entries in replay mode.
- Add an additional line below the minimap in the "Multiplayer->Create game"
screen that displays the size of the selected map. (patch #776 by uso)
- Show the (possibly bogus) GPV and fog settings of games with "Use map
settings" on in a darker font. (patch #771 by uso)
- misc:
- added some extra headers for the upcomming gcc 4.3 (debian bug #417764)
- added a .desktop entry for the editor so that it is shown in the kde/gnome
menu
- the unit name generation could with different locales call get_random() a
different number of times. This lead to different names and traits.
Changed to call random a fixed number of times which fixes the traits.
Whats New in 1.3.6 Development Release:
- Since 1.3.5 was a little buggy, now the new version with definatly working minimaps in the lobby. More important: long standing, translation related OOS bugs have been fixed

GNU Phantom.Security 1.00
GNU Phantom.Security is a computer-controlled security system. more>>
GNU Phantom.Security is a computer-controlled security system.
Phantom is designed to be a completely customizable computer controlled security system. All source code (C++/Bourne script) is included. Phantom was designed & tested on a Linux system, but I assume the C++ portions can be easily ported to other Unix systems (even DOS/Windows, maybe?). The Phantom Security system is for use with intrusion/fire detection equipment such as motion sensors, door magnets, and smoke detectors. However, any Normally Open or Normally Closed device may work with little or no change to the code. All source code and diagrams included are free to use,for distributing, and to modify!
Phantom.Controller is to be used in a system with non-powered security devices, i.e. door magnets. Phantom.Controller2 is for systems with powered security devices, i.e. motion sensors & smoke detectors. Anyone with a basic knowledge of circuit design can mix and match from these two diagrams to mix powered & non-powered devices!
Enhancements:
- To compile & install Phantom.Security 1.00:
- configure
- make
- make install
- The default installation directory is /home/Phantom/security. However, this can be modified in the top-level Makefile.am (if this is changed, you need to re-run aclocal, autoconf, & automake). However, both the bindir and datadir should point to the SAME directory, or else Phantom.Security wont function correctly, because it wont be able
- to find the Phantom.conf file.
Enhancements:
- Version 1.0!!! GNU Phantom.Security is out of Beta! I have been running Phantom.Security for months straight on my machine at work and believe it is stable enough to promote it out
- of Beta!
- Created HTML & PostScript versions of documentation. Available on-line.

Logfilter 0.4
Logfilter is a tool for performing ad hoc analysis on Apache log files. more>>
Logfilter is a tool for performing ad hoc analysis on Apache log files.
Logfilter is especially useful when you wish to find records matching very specific criteria, since you can specify exactly which fields to match.
The tool also plays well in a Unix environment by accepting input either through files or via stdin.
Main features:
- Match only the records you are interested in, ignore everything else
- Fast matching...the code is written in C for maximum portability & performance
- Released under the Apache Licence so you can customise & extend as you wish
Enhancements:
- The command line options were changed to be more in line with Unix philosophy.
- An autoconf script was added to make building logfilter easier.
- A bug in the case sensitivity matching was fixed.

GTK Cervi 0.3
GTK Cervi is a multiplayer Cervi clone. more>>
GTK Cervi project is a multiplayer Cervi clone.
Im not really sure if Cervi is original name of it but I know this game as Cervi so it will be named GTK Cervi. It is a multiplayer game (for 2-8 players) where players drive their worms.
Worms are getting longer and players mustnt collide with any worm. Winner is the last surviving worm. For more information see `Gameplay internals section.
Differences between "GTK Cervi" and the original Cervi:
- Some little differences in gameplay - these wont be fixed because I like this gameplay.
- Our cervs are antialiased.
- We have different field size, and it can be changed.
- Different controls.
- More players.
- Different scoring.
- Hatrick and extra hatrick bonuses.
