ffcall is a foreign function call libraries.

This is a collection of four libraries which can be used to build foreign function call interfaces in embedded interpreters.

The four packages are:

avcall

calling C functions with variable arguments

vacall

C functions accepting variable argument prototypes

trampoline

closures as first-class C functions

callback

Callplot 0.1

Callplot is a tool for drawing call-flow diagrams of the kind common in the telecommunications industry. more>>
Callplot is a tool for drawing "call-flow" diagrams of the kind common in the telecommunications industry. Input to the tool is in a terse textual notation, and output from the tool can be in several formats, including "ASCII-art", pic format, XML, SVG, and VML.

The -pic option produces pic(1) format output, rather than the default ASCII Art. Note that the pic support is not so good implemented at the moment.

The -vml option creates output in Vector Markup Language, which is understood by Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office.

The -xml option creates output in a hybrid ascii-art/annotations XML format that is designed to be used for annotated call flows.

calltree 2.3

calltree 2.3

calltree is a static call tree generator for C programs. more>>
The calltree command parses a collection of input files (assuming C syntax) and builds a graph that represents the static call structure of these files.

Calltree is similar to cflow(1) but unlike cflow(1), calltree is not based on lint(1).Calltree implements some more functions than cflow(1), but does not list the return types of the functions. This is because calltree includes an own C parser and thus may be used even on systems that dont have lint(1).

The disadvantage is that the C parser that is used by calltree is not completely correct and may not find all calls of a function. This is mainly true for calls that are done via function pointers.

Calltree is able to detect recursive function calls (e.g. functions that call themselves). Recursive function calls are marked with an ellipsis in the output.

Callback 1.07

Callback 1.07

Callback is an object interface for function callbacks. more>>
Callback is an object interface for function callbacks.

SYNOPSIS

use Callback;

my $callback = new Callback (&myfunc, @myargs);
my $callback = new Callback ($myobj, $mymethod, @myargs);
my $callback = new Callback ($old_callback, @myargs);

$callback->call(@some_more_args);

Callback provides a standard interface to register callbacks. Those callbacks can be either purely functional (i.e. a function call with arguments) or object-oriented (a method call on an object).

When a callback is constructed, a base set of arguments can be provided. These function arguments will preceed any arguments added at the time the call is made.

There are two forms for the callback constructor, depending on whether the call is a pure functional call or a method call. The rule is that if the first argument is an object, then the second argument is a method name to be called on that object. Method resolution happens at the time the Callback object is built: an error will be raised if it cannot be found.

Callback objects built for object-oriented calls also have the property of being serializable via Storable. Purely functional callabacks cannot be serialized because CODE references are not supported by Storable.

Callback objects can be created from existing Callback objects. Any arguments will be appended onto the original list of arguments.

post_call is a small tool which is able to send a HTTP request to your AVM FritzBox 7050, which will then call a number you provide to post_call as a command-line parameter and using a interface (phone port number) you also provide as a command-line parameter.

After FritzBox has called the number, your phone will ring when the person called is on the line. This can be useful if you want to integrate automatic calling from your electronic phonebook.

post_call is free software and it is released under the GPL license.

Sys::AlarmCall 1.2

Sys::AlarmCall 1.2

Sys::AlarmCall is a package to handle the logic in timing out calls with alarm() and an ALRM handler. more>>
Sys::AlarmCall is a package to handle the logic in timing out calls with alarm() and an ALRM handler, allowing nested calls as well.

SYNOPSIS

use Sys::AlarmCall;

$result = alarm_call($timeout1,$func1,@args1);
@result = alarm_call($timeout2,$func2,@args2);

Sys::AlarmCall provides a straightforward function call to use the alarm handler. It also handles the logic which allows nested time out calls if timeout calls are run thorugh the alarm_call() functions.

The main advantages of Sys::AlarmCall are that:

1. simple calls, e.g.

@result = &func(@args); #Normal function call with &
$result = func(@args);; #Normal function call
@result = &$code_reference(@args);
@result = $obj->func(@args); #Object method call

become simple calls:

@result = alarm_call($timeout,&func,@args);
$result = alarm_call($timeout,func,@args);
@result = alarm_call($timeout,$code_reference,@args);
@result = alarm_call($timeout,->func,$obj,@args);

Remote Python Call 2.60

Remote Python Call 2.60

RPyC stands for Remote Python Call, a pun over remote procedure call. more>>
RPyC stands for Remote Python Call, a pun over remote procedure call. It is completely transparent and symmetrical. It is inspired by the work of eyal lotem (pybuild.sf.net) on pyinvoke, and was made for two purposes:
Learning the lowlevel of the python language attempting to improve pyinvoke by making the entire protocol symmetrical. This means the client can make requests to the server, and the server can reply with requests of its own (the client is also a server on its own). This typically means using callback functions.
The RPyC package comes with a full demo, showing (or showing-off) many of its features. As i said, its completely transparent and symmetrical, so you can write code just as you would write in the case of normal python programs.
demo 1 -- a simple client demo
# import the client
from Rpyc.Client import RpycSocketClient
# `hostname` is the name of the host running an Rpyc server
# the port parameter is optional
c = RpycSocketClient("hostname")
# now we are connected and can start messing around with stuff on the server
for filename in c.modules.os.listdir("/tmp"):
print "found file", filename
Enhancements:
- This release adds DeliveringNamespace, LoginError (instead of tlslites internal errors), __version__, deliver (the counterpart of obtain, which can now deliver and obtain functions as well), and isproxy (to test whether an object is a proxy).
- It improves memory consumption with __slots__ and the isinstance/issubclass mechanism.

Devel::CallerItem 1.0

Devel::CallerItem 1.0

Devel::CallerItem is an Perl object representing a function call from the stack of function calls. more>>
Devel::CallerItem is an Perl object representing a function call from the stack of function calls.

SYNOPSIS

Usage:

require Devel::CallerItem;

$call = Devel::CallerItem->from_depth($depth) || return;
$passed_arguments_ref = $call->argument_list_ref();
$callpack = $call->pack();
$callfile = $call->file();
$callline = $call->line();
$callsub = $call->subroutine();
$bool = $call->has_args();
$bool = $call->wants_array();
($arg_ref,@caller) = $call->as_array();
$call_string = $call->as_string($print_level);
$passed_arguments_string = $call->arguments_as_string();

$printable_arg = Devel::CallerItem->printable_arg($arg,$print_level);

Devel::CallerItem objects hold all the information about a specific function call on the stack. The information is basically that obtained from caller and @DB::args, packaged into an object. This comes with some useful methods to print the object in a nice way.

Schedule::Oncall 0.8.3

Schedule::Oncall 0.8.3

Schedule::Oncall module contains methods for managing an on-call schedule. more>>
Schedule::Oncall module contains methods for managing an on-call schedule.

Schedule::Oncall provides methods to manipulate an on-call schedule. One or more tables of schedules can be maintained, loaded, and searched. An on-call table is composed of seven days, where each day has a list of minute ranges which correspond to a particular person.

Information such as email address, pager number, etc. may be stored in the schedule configuration file. Simple variable assignments may also be made. Other textual information may be stored in the schedule in order to assist other applications (e.g., html headers or email body text), and variables substitution may occur within the text blocks.

Schedule files may be chosen based on weekly or monthly rotations, relative to the first week or month of the year. Weekly schedules begin on a Monday and end on a Sunday, the same as strftime(3)s %W" format. Each rotation is stored in a separate file, and the appropriate rotation is chosen at load time.
