Label Templates are free Opendocument Format label templates for Openoffice.org, KOffice or any other Office suite ODF ready for making labels.

Setup time is quick with these templates and printing labels from these templates is easy.

Blitz templates is a fast template engine written in C and compiled as a PHP module. It started as a php_templates replacement, but developed into much more.
The project is based on extensible template controllers (custom view classes in PHP) and weakly-active templates (simple logic in HTML).
Enhancements:
- Lot of code cleanup was done.
- The "parse" and "include" methods were improved, and their "vars" argument is not a globals array anymore; now its just an arbitrary iteration set and both methods comply with set/block/fetch.
- Templates included by the "include" method from PHP code inherit globals from the caller automatically.
- Corresponding tests were updated.
- A new article was added to the documentation: "Quick Geek Blitz Tutorial", which is addressed to those professionals who want to learn API basics in a minimum of time.

Calendar is a web-based calendar tool that produces pretty, readable calendars. NEW! Rewritten in Java for MySQL! Calendar project began out of frustration with other web-based calendar tools inability to display a readable calendar format. It was very much a project to "scratch an itch" -- to meet an immediate need that the author had. Since then, it has evolved considerably into a very useful tool that produces prettier calendars than those printed by most organizer software.
Main features:
- NEW! Subscriptions can be created to periodically fetch events from remote calendars, just like iCal and Sunbird can do.
- Events on the calendar appear exactly as typed in the admin tool -- the descriptions are not cut off in the display. This makes the calendar just as useful when its printed.
- The entire calendar is rendered in HTML -- no Flash or Java is used.
- Single-day, multi-day and occassional events are all supported. ("Occasional" events are those events that occur multiple times but dont necessarily follow a regular pattern.)
- Repeating events are supported and can repeat on a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly basis.
- Events may be categorized for easy administration.
- Nearly everything about the display is themable -- colors, fonts, border styles, first day of the week, weekday column widths, categories, etc.
- A calendar may be setup as a "private" calendar, so the user must be logged in to see it.
- NEW! A calendar may be setup as a "semi-private" calendar, so the user will only see the scheduled times but no event details.
- The admin tool is password protected and different users can be assigned different permission levels.
- Apple iCal and Mozilla Sunbird users can subscribe to the calendar with one click.
- A really bland, unimaginative name makes it easy to discuss this project without being overheard by foreign intelligence agents.
The first version of this software was written in ASP (VBScript) and ran on IIS 4.0 or higher with a database on SQL Server 7.0 or higher. The current version has been completely rewritten in Java to run on Tomcat 5.5 or higher with a database on MySQL 3.3 or higher. The feature set has grown immensely since then. The two versions have no code in common.

BORG is a combination calendar and task tracking system. The calendar supports simple todos. The Task Tracker goes way beyond todos.
BORG is basically meant to be a small self-contained Java application that you can run locally. Many users run BORG Calendar and Task Tracker from a thumb drive.
BORG actually stands for Berger-Organizer. Unfortunately, the name BORG seems to be a popular choice for software products, probably due to the number of Star Trek fans that write code. The fact that BORG calendar also seems to refer to the Microsoft Outlook calendar makes things even more confusing. Oh well....
Why would anyone want to use a home-grown calendar/task tracker when there are so many others out there, freeware and otherwise?
A potential BORG user might agree with the following:
- I use a calendar/task tracker to remind me to do everything in life that I have to do.
- I do not want to set up a web server just to see my calendar
- I do not want to access the internet to see my calendar
- I work on Linux, Windows and other OSs and would like any of my machines to run my calendar program
- I dont want to have to worry about my calendar not working if I upgrade linux, windows, glibc, mySQL, apache, < fill in any third-party software that causes things to stop working >, etc...
- I like open source software. Even if the developer(s) die, I can still build and enhance my calendar program.

GPE calendar stores and manages scheduled events. GPE calendar supports entries without due times, recurring events (birthdays or other anniversaries), and different view modes to give the user a good overview.

Milo Calendar is a SuperKaramba script that reads the dates stored by KOrganizer and displays them on your desktop in a clear, neat calendar.

The calendar also displays todays date and it can move back/forward months. the descriptions of the events are shown via tooltips.

The images for this theme should be very customizable. In the next versions I will try to make them compatible with rainlendar themes found all over the net!

This is a simple Perl-embedding syntax for template code which is geared towards allowing authors to validate their templates directly against schemas or DTDs. The embedded language is Perl itself, which allows great flexibility at the expense of having to be disciplined about the barrier between template code and module code.

In operation, the source template is transformed to an in-memory Perl script which is then run using Perls eval operator. Errors can be redirected to files or subroutines, and the output can be either caught in a variable or written to a file or open filehandle.
