Jagzilla alpha 6b
Jagzilla is a Java-based set of components for Bugzilla. more>>
Jagzilla is simply the Java version of bugzilla. The idea of this project is:
- To provide a complete java-based interface to bugzilla
- To facilitate interoperation between bugzilla and java based apps
- To provide additional functionality to bugzilla while mantaining compatibility
Main features:
- Bugzilla and java based apps integration
- Bugzilla and eclipse integration (with the eclipse plugin)
- Bugzilla and cvs integration (with the eclipse plugin)
- Bugzilla extended functionality mantaining backwards compatibility (with jagzilla extension tables)
Components:
Hibernate Mapping
- This components includes java classes that represent rows in bugzilla tables, as well as mapping files. This provides direct hibernate access to bugzilla database.
Jagzilla Core API
- The core api is a higher abstraction level than hibernate mapping, which understands buisiness logic and provides an easy access to this funcionality.
Jagzilla Web Services API
- The web services API is actually the core api implementation which uses xml and http as transport. see rest-webapp
WS Client lib
- This is a simple jar to enable easy access to jagzilla WS from any java app.
Jagzilla mail processor
- A program to read email accounts and add bugs to database with information found on these mails.
Hibernate Client lib
- This is a simple jar to enable easy access to jagzilla Core API from any java app.
Eclipse plugin
- This plugin enables using most functionallity of jagzilla. The access can be with hibernate and JDBC (directly to the database) or via web services.
Webapp
- This is the web frontend for jagzilla. This web application shows how to use the jagzilla backend to provide a java web based front-end.
REST Webapp
- This web application is the server for the web services (in a simple sense of xml over http) interface.

Scmbug 0.19.18
Scmbug is a system integrating software configuration management (SCM) with bug-tracking. more>>
Scmbug is a system that integrates software configuration management (SCM) with bug-tracking.
It aims to be a universal tool that will glue any source code version control system (such as CVS, Subversion, and Arch) with any bug-tracking system (such as Bugzilla and Mantis).
Those who do not use a software configuration management (SCM) system do not maintain a history of modifications performed to their software. When bugs creep in their software, they do not have adequate information on how changes to source code came about.
Scmbug is a FREE software for bug-tracking and configuration management also know as SCM.
SCM systems, or even simple source code version control systems, make sure that a record of all changes and enhancements to the software is maintained. They provide a method of creating, storing, and labeling software changes.
Those who do not use a bug-tracking system tend to rely on shared lists, email, spreadsheets and/or Post-It notes to monitor the status of defects. This procedure is usually error-prone and tends to cause those bugs judged least significant by developers to be dropped or ignored.
Integrated defect-tracking systems make sure that nothing gets swept under the carpet; they provide a method of creating, storing, arranging and processing defect reports and enhancement requests.
Main features:
- Provide synchronous verification checks of SCM actions against the bug-tracking system.
- Provide a flexible architecture that can be deployed across the public Internet with reasonable security. Permit integrating repositories hosted by multiple SCM systems in separate networks, against a single, publicly accessible bug-tracking system, for use with multiple mobile developers.
- Define an SCM to bug-tracking integration interface and mechanism that will permit integration of any SCM system with any bug-tracking system.
- Encourage developers of other SCM to bug-tracking integration efforts to solve the integration problem once and for all.
- Integrate most popular free SCM or source code version control systems, such as CVS, Subversion, and Arch.
- Integrate most popular free bug-tracking systems, such as Bugzilla and Mantis.
Enhancements:
- This release introduces partial Git support, improves the Test Director backend, and splits the daemon logic into separate objects that can be reused by third-party software.

pcmciautils 014
pcmciautils is a suite of userspace tools for PCMCIA support in the Linux 2.6 kernel. more>>
pcmciautils are the core of the 2.6 PCMCIA subsystem is undergoing gradual evolution to improve its integration with the Linux kernel. This involves a series of clean-ups, code re-organisations, and even some rewrites of parts of the existing subsystem.
Unfortunately, mistakes do creep in from time to time, and this page attempts to detail these, hopefully with either fixes or details describing what information is required to help track down the cause.
I intend to document known problems with the core Linux 2.6 PCMCIA subsystem here, though Im not tracking PCMCIA card driver problems. These are the responsibility of the individual driver maintainers.
There is also the 2.6 kernel bugzilla, which can be used for core PCMCIA bug reports (ie, socket driver bug reports, core pcmcia subsystem bug reports, and the like.) However, please do not enter PCMCIA card driver bugs under the "PCMCIA" category - they come my way; I dont have any real interest in sorting these out. These should be posted to the mailing list (see below.)
Enhancements:
- This release includes fixes for big-endian hosts and for the newly added "lspcmcia" tool.

YOURI 0.9
YOURI stands for Youri Offers an Upload & Repository Infrastucture. more>>
YOURI stands for "Youri Offers an Upload & Repository Infrastucture". YOURI project aims to build tools making management of a coherent set of packages easier.
Running a package distribution project involves a lot of tasks:
- allow individual maintainers to upload packages in a central repository
- create packages index for packages managers such as urpmi or yum
- synchronise developement resources such as CVS or bugzilla
- advertise new packages
- sign packages numerically
- check individual packages consistency
- check global repository consistency
- etc...
The quickndirty approach of using a pile of dedicated shell scripts, with hardcoded distributer-specific policies, generally results quickly in a maintainance nightmare for admins and a discrepancy nightmare for users. YOURI aims to leverage those issues by providing a generic package management framework, focused on code reusability and modularity.

Dvgrab 2.0
Dvgrab receives the audio and video data from a digital camcorder via the ieee1394 interface and stores into an AVI file. more>>
Dvgrab receives the audio and video data from a digital camcorder via the ieee1394 interface and stores into an AVI file. It features autosplit of long video sequences into several files, and supports saving the data as raw frames, AVI type 1 and AVI type 2.
To use the program, turn on the camera, press play, and run the command in a terminal:
dvgrab --frames 200 myfilm-
If you have properly configured your kernel and your ieee1394 device drivers, you should end up with about 30 MByte of DV image data nicely packed in a file myfilm-001.avi (digits and extension automatically appended), which can be displayed with the Microsoft Media Player or a similar program (remember to install the required DV codecs, software
should be included with your hardware).
Read the man page for more documentation or dvgrab --help. Please submit bug reports, fixes, or suggestions to http://bugzilla.schirmacher.de/ or access the discussion forum
at http://kino.schirmacher.de/. Be sure to read the NEWS file for very helpful release notes.
Enhancements:
- riff.cc, riff.h, avi.cc, avi.h, endian_types.h (added): make RIFF and AVI classes endian and architecture safe (Daniel Kobras).

gimpShop 2.2.11
gimpShop is a fork of GIMP which changes the layout of the user interface to resemble Adobe Photoshop. more>>
gimpShop project is a fork of GIMP which changes the layout of the user interface to resemble Adobe Photoshop.
Version 2.2 is an update on GIMP 2.0. GIMP 2.2 is fully backward compatible to GIMP 2.0. Plug-ins and scripts written for GIMP 2.0 will continue to work and dont need to be changed nor recompiled to be used with GIMP 2.2. We do however hope that plug-in authors will update their plug-ins for GIMP 2.2 and adapt the GUI changes we did with this version.
GIMP 2.2 replaces GIMP 2.0. It is advised that you uninstall GIMP 2.0 before installing GIMP 2.2. If you want to keep GIMP 2.0 installed in parallel to GIMP 2.2, you have to choose a separate prefix which is not in your default library search path.
This code has already seen quite some testing but a lot has changed since version GIMP 2.0 and we could very well have introduced new bugs. If you find any , make sure you report them at bugzilla.gnome.org (after checking that it isnt reported already).
The GIMP 2.2 API is guaranteed to be backward compatible (source and binary) with the GIMP 2.0 API. If you find that your 2.0 plug-in break when used with the GIMP 2.2 libraries, or if you cannot compile a GIMP 2.0 plug-in against the GIMP 2.2 header files, please report that as a
bug.
Enhancements:
- Keeping up with GIMP releases.

WebIssues 0.9.1
WebIssues is a system for tracking bugs and other information across the Internet with a fast and easy to use graphical client. more>>
WebIssues is a system for tracking bugs and other information across the Internet with a fast and easy to use graphical client.
The client requires KDE version 3.4 or newer. The server requires PHP and MySQL. Both programs are licensed under the GNU General Public License.
Note that WebIssues is still in an early stage of development and a lot of work has to be done. See the Roadmap section for a list of features that will be implemented. The documentation is not complete and there is no users manual yet. However the application is designed to be as simple as possible and the target audience of this system is mostly application developers, so I think it shouldnt be a problem for anyone to play with it.
Also note that WebIssues is not going to compete with more specialized bug tracking systems like Bugzilla. It wont be effective for large development teams and also cannot be used by regular application users to submit bugs. Its mainly aimed at small teams which dont need to set up an elaborate bug tracking system and in practice often dont use one. WebIssues is easy to deploy and customize and can be used almost instantly. It is also much more comfortable to use than a web-based interface common to most existing systems.
The purpose of this application is to store information in an organized and easy to access way. It is by no means limited to bug tracking, it can be used to store requirements, tasks, features or any other kind of information. It can also be used for discussion and sharing thoughts on various topics or even organizing documents and other files.
